Common Questions and Answers about Zolpidem and hydrocodone

ambien

Also on my second month of zoloft, I've been taking tramadol and hydroxyzine hcl and zolpidem er. What do I do?
About a year ago I herniated 3 disks in my lumbar spine which caused constant pain and muscle spasms. I have done physical therapy, accupuncture, massage therapy, epidural injections, ice packs, heat packs, stretching, and exercise therapy to help with the chronic pain. Being a former athlete, I am no stranger to pain. I have taken hydrocodone before due to having chronic sinusitis for 3 years.
I am becoming somewhat frustrated with the way a lot of my colleagues practice medicine. Disenchanted, angry would be the other words that could be used. We all get ostensibly that same training and all of us are supposedly in it to help our patients. So, how come have I been getting so many letters lately on my addiction forum from desperate people unable to quit taking the tramadol pills that their own kind doctors have so freely prescribed for them?
But I am seeing my Psychologist or in school, which is better than nothing. Astray- I was taking Zolpidem and any oxys.. oxymorphone, oxycodone, hydrocodone. Really anything I could get to. And for about a year in a half. Thank you for your advice! glad to know it's almost over. :) Vicki595- Yeah I just went cold turkey the other night. And only one of my coach's but she doesn't know what to even do anymore so it's kinda hard. Dani170- Thank you!!

My wife is addicted to hydrocodone, soma, tramadol and ambien. She grew up in a family that used and understood Rx. She knows all the different kinds of antibiotics etc. has the PDR etc. My family kept no medicine in the medicine cabinet. We just had bandaids, mercuricom (sp), asprin and vicks. I dont know anything about Rx, I just take what my doctor gives me. She has been taking the above pills for 3 years and I have known. She supposedly quit with the help of a therapist.
So I dug up some more info that I wanna share ... in case you are dying of curiousity. Or need more info like I do. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http***mb.rxlist.com/rxboard/ultram.pl?noframes;read=3179 not just for breakfast anymore Posted By: mkny Date: Friday, 21 October 2005, at 3:53 a.m.
i am. Ibi, i have it in my brain i can't sleep with out a zolpidem (ambien, not cr). I read and read and get so sleepy, turn off the light and wham, wide awake. Weird. Hopefully longer in my sobriety this will all get better. I am asking my sponsor today and therapist tomorrow. Y'all have a great day. Check in later. got to get to hit the shower and the road. ps>if they aren't losing evidence, they are contaminating it!
Hi Lilygirl, I assume it is your 81 year old mother that has been prescribed both the Ambien (Zolpidem Tartrate) and Vicodin (Hydrocodone)? Together, especially if they are new to her system, they can pack a wallop for a sedentary, frail senior. Their systems appear are more sensitive to these types of medications. Most every web-site lists a warning for use of Ambien in the elderly population.
Short acting sedatives (Zaleplon, Zolpidem) can help you fall asleep. Sleep hygiene, decreasing intake of alcohol, tea, coffee and doing regular exercise will also help. The sedatives are prescription only drugs, so please consult a doctor before starting them.
I have not picked up the info as yet but when I called they said there were no toxic levels in his system. They had found an empty hydrocodone bottle next to his bed and thought he may have committed suicide but I am sure his room mates just took the pills. Yes I am not sure how all these were filled and not flagged. The list is what I pulled frome Walgreens. I do not think they were doing there job. On May 6th he had 17 perscriptions filled. then on May 28 he had nine of them refilled.
These are often prescribed for runners, sports injuries to joints, and those suffering from arthritis. Syva labs has recently reworked its Cannabinoid test and claims to have eliminated this problem. But a Science magazine article (July 8, 1988) lists Ibuprofen as cross reactive. Under the new government guidelines THC testing levels will be reduced to 50 nanograms. Many more THC false positives can be expected in 1994. Dristan Nasal Spray, Neosynephren, Vicks Nasal Spray, Sudafed, etc.

Hi Friends, Welcome! Please make yourself at home ... snuggle down by the fire and hang on. It's a bumpy ride.
im am curious, what was your DOC?, and how much and how long were you using it? cuz suboxone should curb and from personal research and experience found that no matter how severe or how strong the opiate of choice was, it would always curb the wd and stop it after 30-45 mins of taking it...
Hi everyone! Welcome to Part 14! Please come in and make yourself at home. We're all glad you made it here.
That all went away except for the shaking in my right hand and burning, achey feeling I get through out my arms and legs. A little pain and burning in back. Twiching in eyes and my arms are feel heavy like I just worked out. I am starting to get fed up with the can't find anything besides the 1 lesion so pretend like we never told you anything and go on with life. But, we need to see you again in December to be sure it's not MS? Has anyone gone through this?
Welcome Tramadol Warriors! We ... turned .... 40 ... LOL Welcome and I hope you will make yourself at home. Snuggle down, get comfy. There's a lot of information and experience here with getting off Tramadol. It's not impossible, lots of peeps here now living Tram Free Lives! Love & Healing!
Good Morning Tramadol Warriors, Welcome to the room, snuggle down and make yourself comfy. You can quit tramadol. You can stop. You can recover. I believe in you!
I have tried the medications below and the only thing that helps the racing heart and everything else is the opiates. I have very many of the same symptoms as cushings and a pituitary tumor which started when I broke my nose almost 6 years ago. Medicine's I've been on since 2003; Anti-Depressants / Anti-Anxiety Medications (with little to no help...most of the time I didn't even realize I was taking anything.
You obviously must have other health problems if you were prescribed Hydrocodone, but that and Seroquil are the same type of medication, and no physician would recommend using both. Post more about your living habits and medical history if you'd like more help, otherwise it's hard to be very specific other than warning you against taking those.
Please come on in and make yourself at home. This is a very good place to be if you want to get off and stay off Tramadol.
Went home, made it about an hour and had to lay down, next thing I know I'm moaning and groaning trying to move myself into the bathroom about 11:30PM. Got dressed for bed, and spent the next every two hours waking, moaning, walking and peeing. Popped some Norcos in the middle of the night so there goes some of my stash. Couldn't help it, this **** hurts.
Understanding is essential! You can do this. And yes. Eventually you will heal!
Welcome Tram Warriors! Part 60. Wow. Over the years of recovery and reading about others, seeing others recover the main thing I have learned is that everyone's life is better without being a slave to Tramadol. You might be stuck and scared right now, but you can make the decision to get yourself off the hamster wheel of Tramadol dependency and even addiction. You don't have to live that way. There's lots of people here to help.
Love and Healing, Emily
Pure hydrocodone and any drug for non-parenteral administration containing no other active ingredients or more than 15 mg per dosage unit.; Phencyclidine (PCP); Most pure strong opioid agonists: meperidine, levorphanol, fentanyl, hydromorphone, opium, oxycodone (main ingredient in Percocet and OxyContin), or oxymorphone; Short-acting barbiturates, such as secobarbital; Amphetamines were originally placed on Schedule III, but were moved to Schedule II in 1971.
I started taking Ambien about 3 years ago. When my former doctor stopped refilling my prescription, I began ordering it online. This was generic Zolpidem or Zopidem tartrate from India & South Africa. I found that almost immediately after I took it I would relax, my anxiety would go away, but I wouldn't nec feel sleepy. I would take a 5 mg when I got home from work, and then take another 5 or 10 mg later to actually fall asleep.
My primary care doctor prescribes all my medications; hydrocodone, Lyrica, zolpidem, diazepam for muscle spasms (I want to change that one). All the proof of my causes of pain has come from other specialists. My PCP monitors my progress; I check in with her about once a month. I've seen her for about 10 years, through thick and thin, and she's wonderful. Best of luck, Kathy You must be the change you want to see in the world.
My 3,5 and 7 year olds are now 14, 16 and 18. My wife still suffers from depression and my teens are a handful to say the least. I own a small landscaping business and my wife is a Rn that works 3rd shift 7pm - 7am. Something happened today that made me realize more than ever before I need to get off the med today. It's been 11 years and i have never, not even one day gone without it. I called my doctor and asked him whats the best way for me to go about getting off ambien?
