Zoloft with trazodone

Common Questions and Answers about Zoloft with trazodone

zoloft

Trazodone + Zoloft would cause more problem with serotonin than Klonopin + Zoloft. Usually there is not a problem with this syndrome, but you doctor should keep a close watch. Let me know if the Trazodone helps you with sleep. I tried it years ago when I had acute anxiety and it didn't help. I have heard it puts some people right to sleep. .5 mgs of Klonopin twice a day with my Celexa is enough to keep my sleep pattern healthy.
It's definitely been a rough ride, but I've been feeling much better than I did during the summer. The summer was a very dangerous time, I came close to ending my life multiple times. But I can at least confidently say now that I have no desire to end my life. Of course, I'm still feeling pretty crummy physically which I think is a result of the zoloft. But there's significantly less panic. Hopefully I'll be able to go back to school soon.
I still take xanax only when needed of course, but I know I probably need to be on something else again too. and then rid the xanax all together..but, the trazodone didn't agree with me. I feel better now after some coffee..and its been 6 hours. It definitely didn't put me to sleep!
Hello all, I began .25 mg of Zoloft last Saturday (eight days ago) and am wondering if anybody else can tell me their experience with the drug. I'm both an anxious and an unhealthy person, so it's difficult for me to tell what's anxiety, what's sickness, and what's the drug. A week prior to beginning the drug, I think I had a touch of the flu, which in turn triggered more anxiety. I barely got out of bed for a week.
My doctor has recently placed me on TRAZODONE as a possible treatment for ED. It is certainly helping me sleep better at night, but how long do I need to be on it before I begin to have less problems with ED?
My doc put me on 50 mg of Trazodone a week ago for insomnia, Its not doing ****, I took one at 10pm now its going on 2:30am, same story all week, How long does it take for this to work? I don't feel anything from it. Ive tried Ambien too, that did nothing Id just wake up 2 hours after taking it , then be ready for the sun to come up, so frustrating. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem first starting out, did it start working eventually???
As it stands right now, I am still struggling with my drinking, and still struggling with depression, anxiety, and also problems sleeping. I have had zoloft and subsequently paxil both prescribed to me in only 2 separate doctor visits, and after a very bad reaction to zoloft, I was too afraid to even try the paxil. Recently I have began seeing a psychiatrist, but I'm not sure if she is being much help.
should I find some pot, deal with the opiates, and work on the pot addiction later)? I have heard of Trazodone prescribed for cocaine withdrawal. Is there any benefit in helping with opiates? I'm really tired of drugs being the focus of my life, and would like to change while I still have some life left to enjoy, but after all these years, question my ability to do so. I am not at all religious, and don't like the idea of any of this 12 step ****.
just feel feelings of hopelessness absolutely no energy or desire to do anything, nothing at all interests me, i feel anxious in all situations, a constant feeling of blah, negativity, I am just so unhappy with all apects of life and I seriously cant come up with a reason to even wake up in the morning. Why? I'm just going to feel like **** and nothing feels good or even alright. The only time my mood slightly escalates is when I know i'm about to get drunk, or when i'm drinking.
switched me to klonopin to deal with helping me sleep and avoid the nightly panic attacks. I am starting to feel the zoloft help a little bit and have only had to take the klonopin every other night or so at .5 mg. My question is: is it safe to just not take it if I don't feel panic? I know these drugs need to be tapered and I wasn't sure at what point do I need to do a taper rather than just try not taking it?
Hi everyone, I think this is about my fith week on Zoloft I was taking 100mg my doctor suggested last wednesday that I up the dosage to 150 the first day thursday was okay but friday I felt wired. Also I have been taking a trazodone 50 mg at night and it really was a struggle to sleep when it usually knocks me out. Is it the Zoloft dosage increase?
i have in the past experienced horrible withdrawals from paxil. can anyone help me with info on zoloft withdrawals? i really want to fell better, but i am afraid to start.
I also know the highly addictive prospects of Zopiclone and Tramadol, but I'm hoping that I will be able to stop using tramadol, which I've only used at night for two days and one 50mg this morning, once I get some more Zopiclone (I run out soon so will likely need to combine tramadol with trazodone to standa chance of sleeping without Zopiclone)... Is a few days / one week of fairly light tramadol use enough to present problems? What is the likely cause of my 'comedown' daytime feelings?
Today is my 6th day on Zoloft and my doctor prescribed me 25mgs as well as trazodone 50mgs for sleep. I take zoloft in the morning generally when I wake up. I noticed yesterday and today around the 5th-6th hour mark, my body, specifically my stomach area would start to feel 'high' and my heart rate would increase. It's like restless energy is churning in my stomach. I feel like I could run all day. Yesterday I almost felt like passing out at work that I had to go home.
30 (I take 1, 50Mg Zoloft and 3 50Mg Trazadone) those are the meds and only once at night. How quickly can I taper off of them? Been on them both for 6 weeks and I want off them fast but without the withdrawals.
Hi, how long have you been on the Zoloft and how much? Is it for anxiety? I have been on it for about 5 weeks, 25mg. I take it in the morning, even so sleeping is very difficult, if I do fall asleep I wake up every hour or so. I have heard this is common with Zoloft. My doctor told me to take Xanax to sleep, also tried Trazodone, Melatonin, and many over the counter - the only thing that works is the Xanax however I won't take this every night.
hey im a 20 year old male. i have anxiety/ hypochondria/ depression etc. the doc put me on 50mg Zoloft i have been on it for about 8 days and its giving me insomnia. I took zoloft about 2 years ago and it did this briefly and then quit (hoping it will stop again). The doc thought about putting me on Cymbalta instead but i went with the Zoloft since i had taken it before and it was "okay"/ some positve help..
Just yesterday, after calling my doctor, he called in something for me to help sleep (Trazodone 100mg) and I slept for nine hours and felt like I had a hangover. This morning, I only took half of my Zoloft.

I met with the DR today where I go to counseling. She is starting me on zoloft for mild depression and anxiety. Anyone have any info on taking this during treatment? She said I'd be fine taking during tx but wanted to hear from everyone here. Also she said this might help with sleep but probably not. Has anyone noticed it helping with sleep? The other med she is considering which helps with mild depression, sleep but not so much anxiety is trazadone.
Trazodone (Desyrel) Hydroxyzine (Vistaril) Amitriptyline (Elavil) Thanks!!!
I've been taking Trazodone for three years in increasing doses -- started at 50mg/day as an addition to 200 mg/day of Zoloft to help with sleep. I stopped taking Zoloft and incresed my Trazodone to 200 mg/day. In the last month or so I have weaned myself to 150 mg/day in hopes that the symptoms would abate. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Have been having problems sleeping last 2 months. Started with life change and now is self-sustaining due to sleep anxiety (even when I am relaxed and thinking about something else I believe my body is either conditioned to no longer sleep properly or the sleep anxiety is in my subconscious because I'm stay awake unless medicated). I was taking Zopiclone for 3 weeks, then 5-htp for 2 weeks, then 7mg of Remeron for a few nights, which worked initially.
Upon diagnosis I was prescribed Zoloft 75 mg, Trazodone 50 mg, and Vistiral 25 mg PRN. I started these 3 new medications June 2nd and go for my first follow up appointment since leaving the treatment center on Monday. The Vistiral is doing absolutely nothing for my anxiety... no prescriptions for Benzos in the treatment center I was in. I've been prescribed daily Klonopin in the past from my GP and would like to go back on that, but don't want to seem like "Drug Seeker".

No weight gain with trazodone although it gave me a fast pulse. I am currently on setraline/zoloft and so far no weight gain. I think different ones affect different people in different ways as with the side effects. Try to persevere or if you have a good doctor ask to try other antidepressants until you find one that suits you. I know through experience that weight gain makes your depression worse, whether on antid's or not. All the best.
My doctor prescribed me Zoloft 25 mg and Trazodone 50 mg for sleep. This is my 6th day taking it and today and yesterday I've been feeling this restlessness in me. It feels like energy is just churning in my stomach and I could literally run 10 miles in 1 hour. I went to the gym today so I could take advantage of the energy and to deplete it. I take it in the morning and around 5th-6th 'peak' hour the restlessness hits me.
When I started getting better, my psychiatrist took me off Quetiapine and kept me only on Zoloft. I was also prescribed Trazodone to help with my insomnia, but I took this only occasionally when I couldn't sleep at all. Before taking medication for depression, I never had irregular periods, but twice, when my Zoloft dosage was increased to 200mg, I'd suddenly get very early and very heavy periods.
