Avatar f tn Have been on Zoloft 25mg for 3 weeks new doc wants to put me on abilify 2mg with the Zoloft to see if it makes it work better. What sort of side effects does this cause and is it helpful?
Avatar f tn Sixty had taken over my life I feel worthless i'm not happy anymore someone please help. I was taking st John wort for about a month or so only one pill a day.I stopped about 5 days ago. Is it ok for me to start my Zoloft 50Mg tomorrow and if so should I take it in the morning or night. I have had horror stories about Zoloft and I've heard wonderful stories my anxiety makes me terrified to take the meds but suffering is not an option anymore.
672514 tn?1265655141 I actually prefer Zoloft. Remember, in my opinion, when we start, stop, or adjust dosage of any SSRI, it can put us a little more on edge for a few weeks or so, but as you said, it worked great for you in the past. Also, remember for every horror story you read, there are literally thousands of good stories (like yours) that are out there. You are already a little nervous about taking it so naturally you are going to focus on any and all side effects.
Avatar n tn I have taken Zoloft for 4 years now. I have also tried it at all different times of the day. I find my best time is in the early afternoon, but that's what's best for me. Many people are different. I guess you can try and see what's best for you. It won't hurt.
Avatar n tn I have been taking Zoloft for 10 Years. Would it be a bad idea to wean myself off of Zoloft and start taking St Johns Wort...and does it actually work?
Avatar m tn I'm prescribed 50mg Zoloft, do you think on a day where my OCD is heavily bothering me, that it be a problem to take two 50MG doses?
5365627 tn?1369074016 I just started taking zoloft today for severe depression and anxiety i was having. I take 50 mg. Im 36 weeks and i just want to know if it has ever helped anyone else with their issues how much and is your baby ok if you were pregnant at the time?
Avatar f tn I know people on it who are doing very well and I know people who have been on zoloft and switched to lexapro but had to go back to zoloft. I am also going through menopause. My started going to a new dr. and he said he would like me to go on lexapro and told me how to start to wean off of zoloft. The fears are have are, I'm scared lexapro causes high blood pressure, weight gain, and I'm scared its not going to work as well as the zoloft.
4981427 tn?1371670469 So I started my paxil last night was my first night, no more zoloft he said to switch right over.. But now this morning I'm more panicky then I've been ... Could it be this one pill or am I just anxious for the switch? In so scared now I just want to stop taking it...
Avatar m tn Today I took 1 Vicodin (Labeled M367, 10/325 norco) I took my last Zoloft 14 days ago. I was on 50 mg Zoloft. I took my first Zoloft pill on December 19, 2014 and I took my last Zoloft pill on January 19, 2015. I'm currently going through Zoloft withdrawals and have many of the typical Zoloft withdrawal symptoms. I was just wondering if taking a Vicodin will interfere with the recovery of my Zoloft withdrawal?
Avatar f tn I do not understand how this has happen but I am looking for answers or advice on how to lose this weight. I have just recently weened off Zoloft and am hoping to see some improvements.
1354136 tn?1331875317 I had just read all these weight gain horror stories about zoloft and now that I have taken it I notice I get a hunger feeling more often. However I still keep my meals in check. I was just thinking if this makes you feel hungry more often maybe people are more prone to eat more and that could be a cause if the weight gain. Just an observation. I didn't think just taking a med would increase your weight wouldn't it be what you put on your mouth?
Avatar f tn Any advice or meds that work?? Just wondering about others stories and how they have over come this... Thanks guys!!! Yall really are great!!
Avatar f tn I have started taking Zoloft-today I raised my dose to 50mg. However I am still feeling very anxious - I become very, very shakey & dizzy etc in fact shakey nearly all day and night. I have been on the Zoloft for 26 days and 21 of them I have taken a 1/2 of a .5mg of Xanax. I don't feel the need to take more than that but I am sooooooo scared of becoming addicted. Even at this little amount will I have problems when I stop taking it? Will I react if I don't take one tomorrow?
1456780 tn?1310146897 22year male, I have taken 50mg zoloft once a day and 2mg klonopin once a day for 9 months. I never had brain zaps now I get them everytime especially when I move my head. Last time I took my medicibe was 53 days ago and I tappered down.
489656 tn?1249999983 / I will chicken out taking it. I hate taking any meds, but its gotten to the point I cant take it anymore. I do have alot going on now, aside from just plain ol' preggo hormones going nuts. I am starting on 50mg and praying that works. Thanks for any help! I realllly appreciate it!
Avatar n tn Thanks so much for sharing your success storiy. We don't get to enjoy the "good" outcomes nearly as much as we should...for good reason...people who get better aren't inclined to keep posting, although I wish they would. I've also had great success with Zoloft. Zoloft has one of the better track records among SSRI's for treating anxiety/panic disorders effectively and overall, most patients tolerate it pretty well. Thanks again for sharing! Best wishes...
Avatar f tn I have heard sooooo many stories of people gaining weight on Zoloft. I am quite small and gaining a few pounds makes a huge difference on me. In the first month I lost a couple pounds which is OK. I am wondering how people gain weight..... is it that your metabolism changes, or is your appetite stronger? I will not tolerate gaining a bunch of weight and I just want to know what to watch for.
Avatar m tn Does anyone on this board (with heart rhythm issues) have success stories from these drugs that you could share with me? I have taken a xanax before and it did calm me down so I'm looking forward to seeing how the Xanax and Lexapro will help me out. Much thanks.
1198812 tn?1350625566 Hello !!! I Have recently started taking Zoloft for social anxiety that I cannot seem to get ride of. I am going on day 3 and was prescribed 50mg but was suggested to break that in half to equal 25mg to allow my body to get used to it before I up my dose. Which I will stay on 25mg for 3 weeks and then bump up to 50mg. From what It seems people bump up to fast and their bodys freak out. So far I have not had any side effects other then being a little sleepy.
Avatar m tn I posted about a week ago that my doctor stopped my Zoloft because it reaced its "poop out" point(stopped working) and i was experiencing really bad depression/anxiety again after being on zoloft for 18months. My doc tried Lexapro but i experienced very fast weight gain since being on it so he stopped it. i saw him tonight for a check up appointment on the Medication adjustments.
Avatar n tn DID SOME INTERNET RESEARCH AND FOUND ALL THESE HORROR STORIES ABOUT PEOPLE TRYING TO GET OFF OF ZOLOT.I WENT BACK ON 25 M.G. OF ZOLOFT AND WITHIN TWO HOURS I HAD SOME RELIEF IN THE BREATHING PROBLEM. IN ABOUT A MONTH ALL THE SIDE EFFECTS WENT AWAY,EXCEPT THE BREATHING GOT WORSE AND CONTINUES. I WAS ADVISED BY MY INTERNEST TO TRY AND TAKE 25 MG OF ZOLOFT TWICE A DAY. THAT DID NOT HELP. I WAS THEN PRESCRIBED 0.5 OF KLONOPIN TWICE A DAY. THAT HELPED SOME.
4981427 tn?1371670469 I was previously on Zoloft for about 15 years with the exception of once or twice when I temporarily got off of it. I tried paxil with this bout did not last long on it, I was so worked up about taking it because of the stories of how hard it was to get off it. So now I finally switched to a psychiatrist that seems great! Very knowledeable and nice. She has me on a taper/increase plan for zoloft and lexapro. I've been doing pretty good with it!
581954 tn?1223391496 I have used this in the past and it is a type of medication grouped into SSRIs (Zoloft (Sertraline), Paxil, Prozac, Lexapro, etc. These affect people in different ways, so it is sometimes hard to say how each individual will react. I am a big proponent for these types of medications COMBINED with talk therapy. In my opinion, there is no 'magic pill' that will 'cure' you of anxiety or depression.
Avatar f tn Hello everyone! I am just about 24 weeks pregnant. I have been taking 100mgs of Zoloft throughout the pregnancy. Around the end of 1st trimester, I also started taking oxycodone 5mgs (2-3 a day). It is prescribed. I have one healthy child who is 5 1/2. I took paxil durin that pregnancy, as it was before they upped it to pregnancy class D. I tapered down to 20mgs during that pregnancy. It was hell, but the baby was and is super healthy. I haven't tried to taper off of the zoloft.
