zoloft

Avatar f tn As I said Zoloft was a wonderful drug for me and worked great for my panic attacks and anxiety to where they were completely gone for years, and it may not work for you at all. You just need to try and see what happens that is the best you can do!!
445263 tn?1208801416 I have been on Zoloft (50mg) for about four months approximately and I am feeling much better about myself. I have a very slight decrease in sex drive and a little sleepiness and occaisional confusion, but I do not feel depressed anymore and I have had a lot of improvement with my anxiety. I just wanted to hear anyone else who had something to say positively about Zoloft. Seems like all I hear is negative reviews about it on the internet. Thanks, everyone!
Avatar m tn This is going to be kind of stupid to ask because I'm sure nearly all of you have been prescribed zoloft for depression, if you've been prescribed it before... but how did zoloft work for your anxiety? They prescribed me some during my hospital stay for my anxiety. I'm already less jittery but feeling anxious a bit still but I know that will take a week or so to take full effect.
Avatar f tn to see my family doctor this week to review my medication - every 3 mths. she reviews it with me. For now though, has anyone else had weird head symptoms from anxiety??
Avatar f tn on a second note, i have a question on zoloft. i am taking zoloft for two days now and i am going crazy with my moods. insomnia is huge problem along with a panic attack last night... i wanted ot ask your symptoms when you initially took zoloft...
1650822 tn?1313332087 I am on Lexapro 20mg and Klonopin. I was on Zoloft and Xanax but had bad reaction.
1211508 tn?1343079605 Hi nursegirl. We have become kinda friends through this lol. You are absolutely right...I am grasping at straws. I'm just so desperate to feel normal again that I'm willing to have a few drink a day if that's what it takes--but I never wanted to become a massive alcoholic and be dead in 10 years. So based on what I've heard from you I'm pretty much set on starting Zoloft. The reasons I haven't yet are many.
Avatar f tn The symptoms I am experiencing on setraline/zoloft. Irregular pulse, fast pulse and slow pulse are on the serious side effect list. I am going for a heart monitor tomorrow. I am almost 100 percent sure that the antidepressants are causing my symptoms. Will these symptoms subside as often the minor ones do? I am loathe to stop them as no weight gain and ive tried so many my doctor is running out of options.
Avatar f tn The primary doctor said i have virual virus do to allergies, so i saw my doctor who precribed me the Zoloft he said not take zoloft for two weeks until i get better from this virual virus then try the zoloft again if you have reaction to it stop the zoloft then wait a week and try different medicine called citalpram 20mm. i am so sacred to taking any medicine because i am so sentitive to medicine anyway.
Avatar f tn I started at 25mg for a week and then 50mg for a month and then 75mg for another month up to 100mg where I stayed for 3 months. I got better and went back down to 50mg and then quit altogether after 8 months of treatment. I did great. No problems at all. Fast forward to October 2015 and I got a back injury followed by a health scare after an affair while I was separated in summer 2014. Found out I was pregnant and diagnosed with ectopic though it turned out to be a blighted ovum.
Avatar f tn Dr wanted to switch me symbalta (looked it up--said it was for bi-polar). I requested to try to go off zoloft. She said to take one every other day for two weeks and then quit. Keep taking Klonopin. Now I see Klonopin withdrawal and side affects are bad and maybe I'm getting symptoms from that too? This is the first morning I was to not take zoloft but heard tapering slowly is better, so took half (will do for two weeks) and then down to .
Avatar m tn s all in my open Journals in this forum). I was already on xanax, then my Dr. tried for 2 years to get me to take zoloft , I would not, then I started it and it aided in weaming off xanax, then I weamed of zoloft, I was out driving again , even went on 1000 mile drive by myself for hockey! (prior to this , I was close to be homebound)!
Avatar f tn If you had been on Zoloft for 6 years and then stopped it, I can only hope that it was under the guidance and surpervision of your doctor. If it was, he should have put you on a very slow taper and if you found yourself having some anxiety issues during the taper, he should have also given you a short acting benzo to help with those symptoms.
Avatar f tn It definitely takes some time to adjust to medication and medications may not reach their full effect until you have been taking them for 4-6 weeks. I think if your brother has been taking Zoloft for over a week or two and is really not liking the way it makes him feel, he needs to talk to his doctor and maybe move on to something different. Hope this helps some! Good luck to your brother!
Avatar f tn Thinking about trying Lexapro for generalized anxiety. Any advice or experiences? I have previously tried Buspar (had no effect) and Zoloft which made me constantly nauseous.
Avatar f tn upped to 40 and it worked fine, but I gained so much weight that I asked to be taken off. I was put on zoloft 50 mgs. I was fine for 2 years on 50 mgs but then got another bout with anxiety. I was bumped up to 100 mgs and within 3 weeks, I was fine. Now six months after I was bumped up to 100 mgs. I have it again. The Dr. has bumped it up to 125 and if that doesn't work, 150mgs. My question is why is this happening. I have the everyday stresses I normally have.
937070 tn?1244921939 Lots of people take those two together -- it's very common. That doesn't cause the brain shocks, withdrawal does. Taking it every other day isn't a taper, that just throws you into withdrawal every other day. Please, talk to your psychiatrist. Don't be stubborn, or in a hurry. SAMe is for depression, not anxiety; 5htp is for both, but you can't take either if you're on an ssri as they both affect serotonin.
Avatar f tn If doctors did a chest X-ray and all those tests you should rest assured that its not something wrong with your heart. Being a mom is not an easy job and can overwhelm you at times. I am on zoloft for my anxiety, if you want to hear other people's personal stories with zoloft then go to drugs.com to read zoloft reviews. You might read something that will relate to you. Hope this helps Take care of yourself!
Avatar f tn Zoloft is actually one of the better meds for anxiety, but we all have different reactions. For me Zoloft was like drinking water -- I had no effects or side effects. But these drugs don't cure anything, they suppress symptoms, and if you're strong-minded enough you can create a problem stronger than the med. If you're going to bother taking a med, expect it to work.
Avatar f tn Setraline is the generic for Zoloft right? Cause I use to be on it. my ob told me that Zoloft and Prozac are actually the safest to be on during pregnancy, they have the lowest if at all any risk. He though still recommended that no meds is safer than any safe meds. myself, I quit all my meds when I found out I was pregnant, even ones that were said to be safe and I too suffer from severe anxiety but in form of PTSD. but I've been doing great without them so far.
Avatar f tn He presribed zoloft for depression and anxiety and also prescribed xanax for whenever i feel an anxiety attack coming on. I really hope this helps. Starting the zoloft tomorrow morning. Hopefully ill get through day 5 no problem! I also wanted to say that everyone here is doing SO well..
Avatar f tn There is so many problems regarding my mom but I will try to just touch on what is happening. She is suffering terribly with RLS. My mom has been treated for close to 30 years with numerous antidepressants. She has severe OCD, bipolar, and anxiety disorder. She is currently on 200 mg of Zoloft...in addition to Depekote, and Klonopin. Her RLS was being treated with a very high dose of Requip but has recently been switched to something else; some sort of patch. Nothing is working.
Avatar m tn so i take zoloft for my anxiety but it says its used for an anti depressant. whats up with that?
1394445 tn?1351023345 Hello! As you can imagine, we get this question a good bit. There's no simple answer to your question, mainly because everyone is different, everyone's anxiety is diffierent, everyone's medical history is different, etc. SSRIs, like Zoloft, Prozac, etc are usually the first line treatment when it comes to anxiety meds, because they work (for most people) and they're fairly easily tolerated. You seem to have an aversion to taking them, is there a reason?
Avatar f tn I just started cymbalta yesterday and was wondering if anyone can give me input on this drug. I've been on so many different meds for anxiety and panic attacks and I'm really hoping this one will help. I've been taking klonopin and it's just not enough anymore My anxiety and panic attacks are running my life to the point I was just put on disabilty from my job for 12 weeks or longer. I can't function on a daily basis because I'm held prisoner by my anxiety and panic.
Avatar f tn I was taking pristiqe for depression and anxiety I'm 6 wks today and as soon as I found out I was pregnant the Dr. Made me switch over to Zoloft for depression. I've heard nothing but horrible things about Zoloft. Is there anyone that has takin it during their pregnancy? What is your opinion and experience?
Avatar f tn But also taking the Zoloft makes it work better.Zoloft is for anxiety and depression, but more for depression.Ativan is mainly for anxiety. Since taking 100mg of Zoloft,my need for Ativan has dramaticlly decreased.
