Zoloft jittery

Common Questions and Answers about Zoloft jittery

zoloft

I was on zoloft for 1 year 100 mgs. Recently I got back my anxiety and my dr. upped the dose to 150 mgs a week ago. When should I be back to normal - yesterday I felt great and today not so good.
I was just wondering if it's normal with the first couple of days of use of Zoloft if it's common for it to make you a little more anxious and if so how long before it subsides?
I started zoloft two anda half weeks ago. I started to feel ok for one or two days but I feel like I crashed. Feel severely fatigued. If zoloft works won't I feel better on a consistent basis or is that how it kicks in, you feel ok and then feel bad. The day that I felt the best I couldn't get to sleep that night that triggered I think the fatigue. How will I know if it is working?
I have been on zoloft for two weeks and it hasn't done anything for me except make me sexually dysfunctional and I can't bet back to sleep in the mornings. Any adice out there. Is prozac better with the sexual side effects and with the depression. If so maybe I should switch.
Hey there, I'm new to this whole forum thing and I just started Zoloft 2 days ago. I have severe panic disorder and that includes fear of medication. Having side effect like jitteriness and dizzy spells. How long will this last? Is it normal to have more anxiety on the medication? Anybody else feel like there heads stuck in a cloud starting Zoloft?
I have been working to get down to my ideal weight for several months now, and I am doing very well. However, my doctor prescribed me Zoloft today to treat my anxiety, and even though I addressed the issue of weight gain with her and she told me that I would need to watch my carbs and exercise consistently, I am quite worried about gaining back the weight I've lost (almost 20 lbs). Does anyone have any personal stories that can help me with the dilemma of taking or not taking the medication?
This is going to be kind of stupid to ask because I'm sure nearly all of you have been prescribed zoloft for depression, if you've been prescribed it before... but how did zoloft work for your anxiety? They prescribed me some during my hospital stay for my anxiety. I'm already less jittery but feeling anxious a bit still but I know that will take a week or so to take full effect.
I have a few friends who have taken phentermine and they said it was excellent and they look great too. I want to try it, to help speed things along but the thing is i take zoloft for an anxiety disorder. Im not sure if this will react badly or if it will make my anxiety flare up? can anyone advise if it will be okay? or if my doc will even prescribe it to me?
It acts a bit differently than the common selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) like Zoloft you are taking. So if Zoloft really don't work i would realy sugest the Cymbalta. Some info on Cymbalta Duloxetine (Cymbalta, Yentreve) is a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor manufactured and marketed by Eli Lilly. It is effective for major depressive disorder and it is as effective as venlafaxine in generalised anxiety disorder.
i am starting to take zoloft again but to start at a low dose of 50 mg with 300 mg of wellbutrin sr. can someone tell me what are the positive and negative signs i should be watching out for. right now i am just beyond depressed and have no interest in anything in my life. with just wellbutrin. my dr told me if that doesnt work than he suggested lexapro (mood stabilizer) and i know mood stabilizers cause intense weight gain.
found out i have high blood pressure along with severe depression and G.A.D.He prescribed me a bp med and zoloft.Anyone take zoloft?if so did it help?My doc says it has a calming effect.I heard from someone else it has a speedy effect.if so i'm not taking it.I could really use some input before i waste my money to pick up my perscription.Thanx .................
my doctor tried lexapro, then zoloft. when i went to 100mg of zoloft i had the worst panic attacks. i couldn't stand it anymore after 10 days. the doctor wants to switch me to wellbutrin. says i can just switch over with no effects. is this true. I keep seeing it wires you up and may not be good for anxiety.
I am on my 4th day of Zoloft. I am jittery and more anxious than usual. Will this go away? How long before I can benefit from this drug?
Hello and welcome to the forum, Did the Zoloft come first, then the effexor, back to the Zoloft. I am having a hard time understanding what is going on. When did you stop the effexor, when did you start the Zoloft back and how long did you take it before feeling the side effects you described.
I have been on Zoloft 50 mg for the past year due to post partum depression. Recently, I have been feeling less than competent. Assuming it was time to starting weaning from the Zoloft, I cut my dose on half and have been taking 25 mg for the past 3-4 days. Since then I've been either unmotivated to get do anything or "bouncing off the walls". I feel very overwhelmed and incompetent. I feel as if everything is urgent, nothing can wait.
Hello !!! I Have recently started taking Zoloft for social anxiety that I cannot seem to get ride of. I am going on day 3 and was prescribed 50mg but was suggested to break that in half to equal 25mg to allow my body to get used to it before I up my dose. Which I will stay on 25mg for 3 weeks and then bump up to 50mg. From what It seems people bump up to fast and their bodys freak out. So far I have not had any side effects other then being a little sleepy.
Hi, Im on zoloft/sertraline and im also very sensitive to caffeine, even before the zoloft. I also have a med called Inderal (name in Sweden - Propranolol beta blocker) which I discovered takes the negative coffein effects away. It also takes the overall physical effect of anxiety away. Its actually a medicine for heart decieces but I highly recommended it. :) I think its neutralizing the effect of increased output of adrenaline, which causes stress etc.
I have been taking zoloft for 7 days now and I am feeling non stop wrestless and nervous. I can't sleep .. seems my brain never stops thinking! I feel jittery like I can't sit still for long. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this and did it go away or did you need to stop the med's? HELP!!!!
i have been taking zoloft for 3 weeks now I suffer from severe anxiety i also take Xanax I find myself feeling worse than before at times with little breaks of feeling better Than Xanax helps but i am wondering of I should give it more time to build up in my system I am taking 50mg a day.
hey all, here i am at 12:30 wide awake. i have been taking zoloft for about 8 days. i seem to be med sensitive. i feel like i am on speed all the time. i have almost too much energy; all day and unfortunately at night. i have cut back to .25 mgs and started yesterday taking it in the morning so maybe i should just wait and see. i was on prozac 20 mgs daily and did not have this problem. i recently did 2 week long ward stays and i have been unable to sleep since.
I would like to know if I have taken Zoloft for about two weeks, one a 25 mg and now for four days 50 mg. can I stop and how do you di o it and cut it back. My doctor seems to thing I have a anxiety disorder because I worry about my health sometimes. I have had a few panic attacks over the year and became afraid of them. He thought I might try this drug. I really don't like medicines and I am just afraid of them and the side effects. Can you advise what to do.
Hi I was recently put on Zoloft becuase I have tourette's syndrom which is a tic disorder, along with anxiety and a little OCD. I was on Klonopin but my doc wanted me to try Zoloft. So i go on Zoloft and by the 3rd day I felt anxious, like I was on speed. I called my doc and she said to stio taking it.
I called my doctor yesterday and told her that the side affects of the Zoloft were really bothering me. The heartburn, the feeling jittery, not being hungry and I asked her if I could go off of it for a day or two to see if the heartburn would go away. She said I could. I have only been on it for a week, but they are so bad. I am still on the Xanax too.
Hi, I have had panic/anxiety disorder for about 10 years now and usually Zoloft has worked for me. But I went off it and started to experience anxiety attacks after about 4 months. This time I got serious about counseling and it started to work but then my anxiety snowballed and I decided to get back on an anti depressant. My doctor naturally put me on Zoloft. I started at 25 and I felt more nervous and jittery and strted to get weird thoughts of hurting myself and others.
But every system is different. I never took Zoloft. I had the Lexipro and I never got jittery from it. But I did have to go through 4 BP meds till i found one that didn't make me feel wierd - like a headache across the back of my head and a "zippy" feeling. I think your BP med is affecting you - not the zoloft.
It is true that it will take time to kick in fully. In my experience that time frame was less than the Dr said. I have just STOPPED taking ZOLOFT as of a few days ago. WHY? Insomnia, stiff kneck, itchy eyes, numb noodle, agitation I could go on. I had only been on 1 other med, Prozac and for some reason changed. I had only taken Prozac for about 3 or 4 months and it worked GREAT. I had some trauma in my life, went into a 3 week panic attack and stopped the Prozac for some reason.
I was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes the Zoloft to get out of your system? Also, I was wondering if anyone took Zoloft during their pregnancy and if there were any problems. Thanks!
Hi. I have suffered from chronic anxiety for about 5 years. I am 30 years old. 3 years ago I started having crippling panic attacks and thought I was having a heart attack. I starting also have pvcs that seemed to persist even until this day. Back then my doctor had me take neurontin and i walked up to 3200 mg and xanax as needed. It did work for me. However, I started to taper off because my new doctor told me that i was taking too much and i needed to be on an ssri.
My new MD gave me Xanax for any additional anxiety I am feeling on the higher Zoloft and said to take-Xanax-as-needed basis (when I told her I didn't feel well on Zoloft and wanted to go back down). I tried the Xanax with the Zoloft and found it numbing. I am not interested in taking Xanax. Everything is GREAT is my personal life and job!!!!! I want to be healthy and well. I am imprisoned by these imposing symptoms. Can I get off Zoloft? What do you think is a good tapering method?
The first 2 weeks on Zoloft were terrible - I had diarrehea, nausea, hot and cold flushes. But I rode this out and I got rid of the Xanax 2 weeks into my treatment with Zoloft. Zoloft was fun for a while but I felt on edge all the time. It just felt unnatural. Almost 2 months ago I decided to cut my Zoloft tablet in half (25mg) because I got sick of feeling all wound up, pupils dilated etc.
