Zoloft generic cost

Common Questions and Answers about Zoloft generic cost

zoloft

Avatar m tn That doesn't sound right. Even when it was brand new Zoloft didn't cost that much. The generic is less expensive, much less expensive, but it was never a super expensive drug. Something is strange here, unless they just raised the price out of range due to almost everyone who takes it uses the generic. The brand name is usually better than the generic, but the generic is usually good enough for most people. When it's not, it is a problem.
Avatar n tn s a generic for Celexa? My son was taking Lexapro and asked his doctor for the generic version, and she put him on Citolopram, and it's working great for him as well. I've been told that there is no generic for either, but that the ingredients are almost identical.
5944308 tn?1396478749 Hello I have Adult ADD and was wondering how well the generic zoloft works ....I was prescribed it and was wondering how it works for others.. I know everyone is differant just trying to get a whole picture.
Avatar m tn tenvir from cipla is good and cheap generic, there are also cheaper generics but dont remember the brand
Avatar m tn Just home from my primary care doctor and he gave me a prescription for Generic Zoloft. I will give that a try. While my problem has different root than the original posting this thread, I offer my experience with a walk down the medication trail. Don't like to take drugs, but if the depression is severe that may be the best path forward. Don't know the cost, but "Generic" suggests lower cost.
Avatar f tn Hi all, For several years now I have dealt with anxiety. Mostly related to my health and obsessive thoughts. I can't seem to kick the habit on my own so I decided to get help but due to the fact that I do not have good health Insurance and I'm not eligible for low cost insurance I'm not able to get the help I need. These fears and thoughts are beginning to take over my life. I'm in a constant state of anxiety.
Avatar m tn I've never taken Effexor -- I started out as primarily an anxiety sufferer and Effexor is a stimulating antidepressant so no psychiatrist has ever suggested this class of drugs for me -- but I don't understand anything about your post. Effexor is now generic and very inexpensive, so I'm not sure how this affects insurance any -- insurance companies don't much care for brand name drugs but they love generics so I'm very confused by this.
Avatar f tn I take lexapro ( it is going generic and will cost less this month (YEH!). I have to admit I am not too good at tapering and have been known to just stop...(I know..bad) but, have never had a problem with that one when I do it. I am not saying do what I do..but I am saying possibly it will be easier to get off of when you want. I like it because it works more quickly for me than the other AD's.
Avatar f tn I am currently taking zoloft since nov 09, I've had to increase the dosage twice and am now on 150mg, the first couple days are worriesome I was jittery, and can cause diarrhea, and I did feel a little panicky. it is suppose to give you a boost of energy (per my psychiatrist) but if you are in panic mode you may feel it is just exacerbating your panic attack. It does go away in about 4-7 days.
Avatar f tn My friend went from years on Paxil to Zoloft with no problems. Depression & anxiety often re occur in our life. Some of us are just prone to it. You did nothing wrong switching meds/trying others. I took prozac in college and it worked like a charm. 15 yrs later I had another bout of anxiety and depression and tried it again and it did nothing sadly.
Avatar f tn I was also on Teva clonazepam for 13 years with no issues. A few months ago I switched pharmacies and started getting Actavis which I have been experiencing weight gain, headaches, extreme drowsiness with the same dose as the Teva, 1 mg 3x per day. I am very sensitive to medications and have racked my brain on the weight gain issue thinking it's hormonal, etc. but I really think it is the medication. I gained 30lbs in 2 months on Zoloft when the dr.
Avatar f tn my zoloft became ineffective. wellbutrin makes me dizzy. cymbalta's too expensive. prozac makes my brain feel weird. i have screwed up brain chemistry, but i want to get off of meds. how do i do this and manage to have a normal life--be able to hold a job, stay married, not yell at my kid, not think about ending my life, etc...?
Avatar n tn I am going to try to quit smoking. My doctor prescribed Zoloft. Why? I am not depressed. (I am 66 and have smoked since about 14).
Avatar f tn I think my problem may be the generic fo zoloft. Read a lot of comments about the generic versions of meds. Since I tool brand name zoloft for yeas with no problems, think I'm going to talk to him about the brand name. I know it's very expensive ', but whats the difference if it's for your health. Just have to cout back on something else i guess.
Avatar f tn someone told me that zoloft the generic brand can give you headaches does anyone know this for sure i take 50 milligrams a day been on it for 6 weeks now.
1773104 tn?1314155711 Does anyone else have experience with Paxil (or generics) or Zoloft (or generics) or other like drugs? I was on a Paxil generic, Peroxatine after a very bad attack. The drug really messed with me bad and I almost lost my jobs because of how my body reacted to it. I have been switched to Zoloft generic and now I'm dizzy and feel like I'm on the edge of an attack leading to fainting. Is there anything, none drug, that can help with anxiety?
Avatar n tn To both of you, yes, if you go back on the withdrawal will go away, and you can taper more slowly. Or you can wait it out and hope it eventually goes away. As long as the effects are physiological and not emotional, you can probably tough it out, but it's the hard way to do this. To the original poster, generic Zoloft is really cheap. It's been off patent for years. It's only $4 at Walmart or Costco, and not much more at a drugstore on one of their plans.
1632656 tn?1310693271 Can any one please tell me how much the Generic form of regular 20 mg's and Aderral xr 30 is now. I have recently decided to go back on meds with no insurance,, I am in California and I heard it is still quite expensive,, thank you.
Avatar f tn Patent comes off dec 2009 if I recall. As far as cost - if you have insurance once it's generic it usually goes on the cheaper generic copay list if you have that sort of insurance. so for instance if with your insurance you pay $30 for non-generic drugs on the approved list and $10 for generics on the approved list - you'd be paying $20 less/month for your valtrex. Typically it's 30% reduction in price when it goes generic initially for paying out of pocket. drugstore.
Avatar f tn Is anyone out there taking Teva's version of Nexium? I'm to the point now where I can't get the brand. I was astonished to see that this generic version's co-pay through my insurance is so high! $80 for 90 days. I could understand this price for the brand, but for generic? Anyway, I had tried this version as I had to with my last insurance, it and I didn't do as well on it. I tried it for a week. I an wondering if it was just my imagination.
Avatar f tn Can anyone give me a ballpark of the cost for the suppressant drugs after a transplant. Just want to get an idea, know no one can give me exacts but any info would help. Thanks.
Avatar f tn Lots of people have read about grapefruit and hep c and are trying it but I also know a lot of people on tx or getting ready to tx are using the anti- depressant Zoloft . Zoloft is one of the drugs that can cause big danger to the liver if used with grapefruit. There are others too but this one is especially common to people on interferon/riba. I sure don't want anyone to make this mistake. There are anti depressants that are safe with grapefruit-Celexa is one of them.
Avatar n tn I am coming off Setraline (Zoloft generic. Can't believe the cost difference!) From 150 mg, down to 100 mg for a week, then to 50 mg for couple weeks, now off it entirely. The flash dizzy spells are still here after a week drug-free. Hope that leaves soon. Other than that, I feel great. A few angry spells at the beginning, but nothing serious. My question: I am thinking about starting a St Johns Wort/Sam-E treatment. All I've heard and read about the combo is positive.
1801781 tn?1461629469 I am having to switch to the generic version of Lexapro as it is now available. Insurance wants the change and I am OK with it as the cost will be less. My question is has anyone been on it and can they tell a difference??
5050843 tn?1362870326 Ok, my story in a nutshell.
