20632981 tn?1503687567 re taking wellbutrin and Zoloft together and think the wellbutrin is working but not the Zoloft. See my response to your other post for my thoughts about this, but you do need to clear up the confusion as to what you're doing now so people here can help better.
Avatar m tn I would switch gradually to Cymbalta and see what happens rather than being on both. As for the Wellbutrin added to the mix it could help with libido since dopamine is in play. Both Zoloft and Wellbutrin sounds like something you could try before getting on Cymblata. I don't think you shoud mix Cymbalta with Wellbutrin personally.
Avatar m tn After taking Wellbutrin 150mg 2x daily and my Zoloft 100mg together fro the first time I woke disoriented and dizzy Just was wondering if I should of started the wellbutrin one a day to get used to it.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, Long story short, I tried going off zoloft without success, fell into a deep depression in late Dec, and was put back on zoloft in early January. At the time I was taking Nefazodone and recently weaned off of that. I was on 50 mg Z for 3 weeks and was bumped up to 75 mg one week ago. My anxiety has been bad so I am taking klonopin for that. I'm not doing well emotionally and thought the zoloft would work by now since it's been a full month.
Avatar f tn I thought i was on zoloft with the paxil...but my doctor checked and it is paxil and wellbutrin...been on both since Sept. he decided the paxil alone wasn't working and added wellbutrin...but to me i do have the symptons as if i were on zoloft which the dr. said i wasn't...nurse didn't call me back after she got it straight with the dr. that i am on paxil and wellbutrin...maybe tomorrow. if not i will check with the pharmacy. thanks so much for caring.
Avatar n tn I had taken zoloft for many years and it had worked well but I was starting to be bothered by the fact that I COULD NOT CRY, was TIRED DURING THE DAY and maybe it could be keeping weight on me that I might lose if not for the medicine SO I went off the zoloft and switched to wellbutrin. I definitely had more energy, which was wonderful but I felt kind of mean, I said mean things etc. That is the kind of depression I have. Not the sad I want to die type but the irritable type.
Avatar n tn I am in the midst of a major depression myself and am in the process of trying meds lexapro, celexa, Zoloft, and Wellbutrin have not worked for me so far. I see the doc next week so we will see... I too wake up with the worst depression but it goes away in about an hour, like boshogg42 said I think it's the thought of how long the day will be. Then the depression hits back hard at 6-8pm at night. Hang in there! Your doing better than me in the exercise dept.
Avatar f tn I went to see my doctor last week and he added zanax as needed and mentioned adding zoloft back with the wellbutrin. Has anyone done this and has it helped.
Avatar f tn I am an alcoholic. I have been sober for 4 years and 4 months. Will taking Wellbutrin effect my sobriety date?
Avatar n tn Are you sure it was Zoloft and not Zyban? I was prescribed Zyban to help me quit smoking and it worked very well. Its generic name is Wellbutrin, which is an anti-depressant, but a side effect of it is that it decreases the need or craving for nicoteen.
Avatar n tn well I have to say, after 3 tough weeks of severe nausea, lightheadedness, dizziness, headaches, and dry mouth, I had to stop Wellbutrin and will be going back to prozac. If Zoloft helped with your depression, than there is a chance Wellbutrin won't work, because the brain chemistry problem that needs to be addressed is the serotonin problem. I hope you have better luck than I did.
Avatar m tn I'm taking 300mg of wellbutrin,it is not doing the job alone. My doctor said zoloft and wellbutrin are compatible I'm going to add per his advice 50mg of zoloft I really hope this will make some difference. Just like some feed back on this.
Avatar n tn I am trying to wean off of wellbutrin and start trazodone for depression and stay on zoloft for anxiety. If someone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.
1379090 tn?1279032110 I take wellbutrin and recently stopped zoloft. My psych told me that wellbutrin increases sweating. I have horrible night sweats and start sweating at the drop of a hat during the day. And I'm only 25 so it has to be the medication. It's so bad that I've considered getting off the wellbutrin as well. I'd rather be deppresed than soaked with sweat all day!
Avatar f tn My experience with zoloft was, that taking 50mg a day, I at first lost a few pounds, and was ecstatic. I've struggled with severe anxiety, and the zoloft really helped me. However, after about two months of being on it, I began to gain weight steadily, until I had packed 15 extra pounds on to my small frame. I never had ANY trouble with weight gain in my life; if I started seeing the scale creep up, I could exercise and be careful for a day or two and it would go right back to normal.
10379139 tn?1409706165 My father killed himself when I was 2 so my thinking process from the wellbutrin is scaring me. I still have some Zoloft. Should I stop the wellbutrin and restart Zoloft immediately? This is such a terrible feeling. Anyone ever have this problem with wellbutrin?
Avatar n tn if a person takes wellbutrin and zoloft and is doing well other than insomnia, can trazadone be added to the wellbutrin and zoloft to improve sleep?
Avatar f tn I have been taking Zoloft for two months and my sex drive is pretty much gone. Is there anything I can do to increase it? Should I try another medicine? My friends suggested Wellbutrin. I don't know though. Any suggestions?
Avatar m tn s anyone out there who has ever been on the combination of Zoloft and Wellbutrin then please let me know how it worked and especially if they felt tired when they were on Zoloft by itself. I really feel like i'm at the end of my rope. I was doing well for a while and then things everything just seemed to wear off and I feel like I'm back at square one.
5050843 tn?1362870326 This definitely could be withdrawal from the Zoloft and not the Wellbutrin. Zoloft is an SSRI and Wellbutrin is an atypical antidepressant...it's hard to transition from one drug to another when they're not from the same "family." I did manage to transition from Abilify (an antipsychotic) to Wellbutrin last fall so it can done but it was a rough few weeks. If the symptoms don't seem to be easing up at all you should go back to your doctor.
Avatar f tn I also take 300mg of Wellbutrin each day and have for 2 years. Do you think I should lower my Wellbutrin dose or my Zoloft dose or both? I was switched from a Wellbutrin/Lexapro combo to the Wellbutrin/Zoloft combo due to the fact that I had been on Lexapro for over 3 years and it stopped working. I have OCD, GAD, and depression. I take the Wellbutrin to help with the side effects of weight gain and loss of libido. Thanks for your help.
20632981 tn?1503687567 My question is, can I take Zoloft and Wellbutrin at the same time every day or should I space them out. If so how long of a time lapse??
Avatar f tn I am not good at taking more than one pill per day and I know with Wellbutrin, and Wellbutrin SR, more than one is required. I would wanted a timed release anyway, with one pill only. My dr, said she looked it up in her book, and Wellbutrin XL 150mg, is only prescribed for SAD and to quit smoking. She did not want to prescribe the XL at all no mater what I said. She prescribed me Regular Wellbutrin 100mg twice per day.
Avatar n tn Zoloft makes me extremely sleepy and also I have gained weight while taking it so my doctor prescribed me Wellbutrin SR 150mg to take with the Zoloft. I started the Wellbutrin yesterday and was fine throughout the day until evening came. I felt all of a sudden that I was back to being 'in my head' again and all of the problems I had before taking Zoloft came back full force.
470964 tn?1240246255 I did it! I have been completely off Zoloft for about 2 weeks now. I have not had a "brain zap" in a few days, and I feel pretty good. Mood swings are still a concern for me, but I also think it is a behavior modification issue for me, because I seem to have them no matter what medication I am on. I have to make a conscious effort not to sweat the small stuff that sometimes just sends me over the edge. I even had to do that on the Zoloft...
Avatar n tn Hello countryboy105, My advice is to go back to your doctor. It's obvious to me the zoloft is not working for you. These side effects that you describe, nausea, stomach cramps, headaches, loss of appetite, quivers, loss of keeping an erection. These are enough reasons to ask your doctor to take you off the zoloft and put you on another medication. But you can't just stop the medication yourself or cut back on the dosage. That could be very dangerous.
