Zoloft and fatigue

Common Questions and Answers about Zoloft and fatigue

zoloft

Avatar f tn ve begun to have periods of nausea and muscle fatigue throughout the day - sometimes when I worrying about my health and other times not. My question is can nausea and muscle fatigue be a symptom of anxiety and stress even during periods when I am not worrying about my health? Thank you in advance for any help that you can provide.
Avatar m tn Hi, I was on zoloft for about a month and was pleased with the way it stabalized my terrible mood swings and anger. It basically numbed my emotions and made it easier to get up and go to work, school, etc. without having bursts of anger or tears for no apparent reason. Although it helped the mood swings, I still felt no motivation to do anything and felt even more fatigued than ever before. My biggest original problem was my drive and motivation.
Avatar n tn I am a stay at home mother with three young boys. I have been taking zoloft (100mg daily) for depression for about nine years. The only times I was not taking zoloft is during my second and third pregnancies (and, boy, it was tough). Zoloft has changed my life - and my family's happiness. Just recently I was also diagnosed with ADD. My doc gave me adderall 10mg IR to try.
Avatar f tn I am on a rerun of Zoloft and I have my douts it will work again to , I feel like **** after 3 weeks , and I did a straight over night taper from Lexapro , straight tapers are usually cool and easy ,but not this 1
Avatar f tn i also take zoloft 50mg i have been on it for 12 years now, i took my self off of that about 8 years ago and i started haveing panic attacks so very bad i had to go back on and dont want to go back off. but my panic attacks are also heratitary (i cant spell lol) my mom, grandma, greatgrandma, great aunt have had them or have them. I of couse thought no one could have had or have them as bad as i was when i first started having them, they were horrible!!!
Avatar f tn ve been taking Citalopram 40mg (Celexa) for anxiety and it helps wonderfully, but the fatigue is becoming ridiculous. Have been taking this for several years. Is it worth talking to my doctor about switching to another medication? thanks.
Avatar f tn How long has your brother been on Zoloft? Fatigue and moodiness (especially fatigue) are common side effects of antidepressants. It definitely takes some time to adjust to medication and medications may not reach their full effect until you have been taking them for 4-6 weeks. I think if your brother has been taking Zoloft for over a week or two and is really not liking the way it makes him feel, he needs to talk to his doctor and maybe move on to something different. Hope this helps some!
Avatar m tn yes, i was diagnosed with hypoglycemia of some kind, at the doctors office my blood pressure was 70/50 i felt dizzy, its always low, and my resting heart rate is 45 or so , and i do smoke which i think is wierd, i used to exercise a little, plus i also take klonopin and zoloft......
Avatar f tn I cannot tolerate it after 3-6 months because of the extreme fatigue that sets in and stays until I taper off and quit taking it.Every dosage level tried. I believe the average is 100mgs a day but can vary from 50 to 200. Medications effect different people different ways.
459155 tn?1264008142 I was dx with depression 10.5 years ago and have been on Zoloft ever sense. When I would start feeling like the medicine wasn't working b/c of stressful things going on in my life, my doctor would increase the mg for a few months. Well, the past 3 months have been the most stressful of my life. I have 2 major issues going on (that aren't pleasant). During these months I have noticed that I am so sleepy!
Avatar m tn Will taking it at night help with the daytime fatigue or will it make insomnia worse? Will the fatigue make depression and anxiety worse if I cannot cope when school starts? Is Zoloft right for me? Should I be patient and wait longer?
Avatar m tn Over the past 4 months, I have tried zoloft, lexapro, celexa, buspar, and now Zoloft again. I was given the 25mg tabs and told to take half (12.5) due to my body is apparently very sensitive to these type of meds. I was taking it at night, but i could not fall asleep. I would be dog tired, but couldnt flip the switch.
Avatar n tn Im a 24 year female, and recently have been prescribed to antidepressants, and xanax for sleep, I tried lexapro, for a week, but I'm paranoid about side effects, and I started to feel very disoriented at night and had side effects such as, muscle twitching, ticking, confusion, wierd vision change, so I told my doctor this and I was exspecially concerned about the muscle twitching, I get it all over my legs, arms sometimes in my cheeks, and sometimes even my abdomen, my doctor kind of shrugge
Avatar n tn After consulting with my doctor I asked them if there was anything that I could take on an as needed basis for anxiety and they prescribed me Zoloft. From what I understand this is not a drug to be taken as needed and I do not really want to be on anymore prescription medications. After doing some research I read that Vitamin B complex was a good remedy for anxiety and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it?
Avatar f tn The main symptoms of withdrawal include headaches, fatigue, insomnia, and confusion. The duration of withdrwal symptoms varies from person to person and also depends upon the the dose of Zoloft that you were on. Hope this helps!
Avatar m tn Although the episodes of fatigue were when i was on a lower dose and had been on that dose for several years so random bouts of fatigue would be unlikely to be related. the zoloft is a new addition and the symptoms such as joint pain and fatigue were before i commenced it. methylphenidate dosage was increased a few months ago so it may be the cause of the hand changes.
Avatar m tn You can look at my other posts they may help you. zoloft will cause insomnia and I myself could not put up with it. karen is correct you should gradually feel better after several weeks but..........I firmly beleive that side effects should be minimal. I think if the SSRi is correct the effect at first will be placebo like, you will feel nothing then gradually feel better.
Avatar n tn My concern is that I was previously on Zoloft 50mg. and it gave me real bad headaches raised my blood pressure and sent me on a emergent run to the hsp. emergency room,,I am concerned about starting this medicience that it will cause the same problems or worse. My O.B. says they are different and that I should try the effexor. What does everyone else think?
1756969 tn?1332437163 after the last 72 hours i have had a lot of bouts of diarhea and nauea and pains in the stomach and more fatigue than normal. i called dr and told him i dont want to be on a combo of them. why would a dr put me on 2 dfferent ones together.
Avatar m tn I was on Zoloft 3 years ago for anxiety and panic. I did not notice any side effects (sexual, physical, emotional), I would dirnk alcohol ans everything seemed fine. I was on Zoloft for 2 years and it worked for me. I stopped about three years ago and i was fine until recently (anxiety, heart skipping beats, fatigue, etc.) as the stress in my life has picked up.
Avatar m tn Lately when exercising, I have noticed pronounced fatigue and some light-headedness. I suppose this is due to stopping the Zoloft without weaning myself from taking this medication. Will these symptoms ease up or stop soon? I still take the Xanax.
Avatar f tn hey again, as some already know, i was on zoloft 50 mg and klonopin .5 mg. i saw my doc last week and he took me off zoloft because he didnt think it was the right med for me. he also told me to only take .25 klonopin before bed. thats all. he prescribed me nortryptiline (sp?) but i have heart problems so i have to see my cardiologist before i can start taking it. so its been a week since being off of zoloft.
Avatar n tn I started taking zoloft 50mg yesterday for depression/chronic fatigue syndrome, I am only on my second day. Are you supposed to feel extremely tired/fatigued when you first start taking it - and how exactly does it make you feel when it is at it's functioning peak?
Avatar f tn t be feeling this way for this long and he switched me to 100mg Zoloft and pregabalin for the first two weeks. I had some hope and faith in this doctor as he had helped me before.. Initially I felt slightly better, Zoloft seemed to be easier on my body than Lexapro but I still woke up with shakey hands and burning sensations in my limbs coupled with doom feelings.. On days where my anxiety seemed to subside my depression felt horrible and unbearable..
Avatar f tn The Fatigue is cased by and is a main symptom of Hypothyroid, because your metabolism is slowed. Are you under medication for thyroid? Has your md taken any bloodwork lately and if he did, could you post the results of Free T3 Free T4 and TSH including the reference ranges provided, members then can see where you are in regards to your thyroid and give suggestions, causes and advice. If you are being medicated post what meds you are on also.
Avatar f tn t find a doctor who will take me seriously and treat me properly. The doctor at ZRT Labs said I have adrenal fatigue, although the stupid doctors here don't think so. I have a new primary/internist and he thinks I am bipolar and OCD and he put me on a low dosage of Zoloft and sending me to a therapist for treatment. No one I know thinks I am bipolar. Is the thyroid condition causing all these mental problems for me or no?
