zoloft

I have had excessive head sweating for the past 2 years,i am post menopause and very active.I do not feel comfortble enough anymore to enjoy life no one wants to hug a sweathog!!I take zoloft for panic attacks and vasotech 5mg daily for bp which has never been over 140/80 but Dr. said it was time to watch it.I may be 15lbs overweight but i could sweat that off tonight. I was a chronic prescribed diet pill user[tenuate] but stopped three years ago with no problem.
I WAS 29 WHEN I STARTED IT AND IT DID HAVE SIDE EFFECTS FOR ME SUCH AS WEIGHT GAIN, EXCESSIVE SWEATING, AND A DECREASED SEX DRIVE. HOWEVER, THE SIDE EFFECTS WERE WORTH DEALING WITH COMPARED TO THE QUALITY OF LIFE ZOLOFT HELPED ME HAVE. IT REALLY BASICALLY GOT RID OF MY DEPRESSION, PANIC ATTACKS AND MOST OF MY ANXIETY. HOWEVER, I TRIED TO COME OFF OF IT RECENTLY (WHICH YOU SHOULD NEVER DO COLD TURKEY!
I started taking Zoloft (now at 100mg/day) about 6 months ago, and began sweating more than usual, and I also felt hot. Now I don't feel "hot" anymore, but I do sweat a lot. It's unprovoked, if you will, started once I get up in the morning, and sometimes even at night while I'm sleeping. It's really embarrassing, and nothing I do seems to help. I switched deodorant, tried drinking more water, etc. I've also started weaning off Zoloft.
Hi, I am on Zoloft and it has never caused me to sweat at all...... I hope this helps...
I did a quick check on medhelp on Zoloft and sweating, and found this post: "I've been on zoloft for 2yrs. just uped to 200mlg. and the night sweats have gottensooo bad. is there any chance they will go away?" by Hensley258 [This user is a Community Leader for this forum] Nashville - Apr 19, 2008 11:39PM To: jjaberwaky I'm right there with you. Many of these AD meds can cause excessive sweating. I have gotten that same side effect from nearly every AD med I have ever taken.
However, all of the physical side effects such as dry mouth, excessive sweating, nausea, diarrhoea, feeling uncomfortable in my own skin, and crying at the drop of a hat have all come back with a vengance. Typically they ease up by early afternoon, but these side effects are making it very hard for me to function in the morning. I really don't know what to do because I can't stand feeling like this, but the medication is helping even out my mood to some extent.
I've been taking zoloft for about a month and a half now to help me get through every day life and to try to ease the constant fear I have about having a recurrance. Just wondering if anyone ou there is on zoloft or any other antidepressant and if you have experienced any side effects.
I got off all and crashed. Doctor put me on Zoloft and Xanax. I felt AWFUL on Zoloft. Terrible flu-like symptoms going on and up and worse coming down and off. Two months AFTER being off Zoloft I continued to have withdrawal symptoms My last Zoloft dose, and I tapered down slowly, was 8-31-06. I then had to taper down and go off Xanax (last Xanax dose was yesterday, 12-14-06). Continuing headaches, twitches, flu-like symptoms. I have read that this is all withdrawal symptoms.
check the webistes under zoloft side effects and zoloft and alcohol. I wish you both luck. My mother takes zoloft and is just fine, but my daughter was affected adversely; so be aware and informed. Dear worry a lot lots of young people develop odd fears while growing up..don't worry one day they will go away. My brittany is tortured by the fear of throwing up. I know how scarey it is for you, but you will most likely not throw up and if for some reason you did...
I go to the toilet. Explosive diarrhea and sweating and weakness and faint feeling (some times I do faint or lean on something to keep me from falling over). Then after it's over I get very cold. I still feel a little weak but I feel much better. I drink lots of fluids and am a pretty healthy 25. I don't believe it's all separate diagnoses. Like the vaso vagal and then another one for the diarrhea and another one for the sweating etc.
The excessive sweating has kept me in my home to long and has caused me to have 0 social life. I have been told that I could never come off anti-depressants. I lived 45 years before going on an anti-depressant. Do you think this is worth a try?
My anxiety symptoms I most frequently get now are an upset stomach, excessive nervousness, not being able to look forward to doing enjoyable things, thoughts that I will never get better and sweating. One thing is that my anxiety has gotten better since first being diagnosed. This is pretty much the way my anxiety has been for the past 4 months. It comes, it goes and every time it comes back it seems to be more managable, although it really sucks when it comes back.
I wanted to check in with you and see how your switch from Lexapro to Zoloft went/is going. I am making the switch myself and have been weaning off Lexapro and onto Zoloft. Right now, I'm taking 10mg of Lexapro and 37.5 mg of Zoloft with 1 mg of Lorazepam 2x a day (to help get over the hump of changing). I have noticed that since I am overlapping AND taking the Lorazepam, I have little desire to interact with anyone AND the sex drive is completely dead. How are you doing now on Zoloft?
I have some side effects, excessive night sweats, and excessive sweating during the day time, too. By excessive, I mean my sheets are soaked nightly, and my deoderant does not keep my armpits dry. I switched to the Degree Clinical Strength and its still not working. I sweat excessivly 24-7. Also, I am have been having sexual side effects, I cannot reach an orgasm. I just kind of feel numb to pretty much everything.
after prolonged periods of quiet upright posture (such as standing in line) after being in a warm environment (such as in hot summer weather, a hot crowded room, a hot shower or bath) immediately after exercise after emotionally stressful events (having blood drawn, being scared or anxious) some individuals get symptoms soon after eating, when blood flow has shifted to the intestinal circulation during the process of digestion We are all susceptible to fainting by activation of the vas

She was deliberating between the cholesteral medicine and the thyroid medicine and chose to up the thyroid medicine as I think she wants to make sure that my mood and energy aren't compromised because of being low on thyroid. I have had excessive sweating and a little of the scratchy face before either of those last 2 changes, however, but now it is worse. My face feels raw and is a little blotchy and sometimes my nose really itches.
The GP gave me some Zoloft and called it a day. That stuff SUCKED. I hacked it out for about a month and quit completely but things gradually got worse & then the exteme debilitating fatigue set in...along with new symptoms like muscle weakness and joint pain. I finally went in—after researching my symptoms, putting two and two together, and talking to my grandmother (she had hashis and cancerous nodules resulting in a TT)—again for blood work.
My heavy periods are almost non-existent. But I can't live on valium and my other choice is zoloft. I'm 50 and I just wanted help with perimenopause. Guess I'll go to plan B. Menopause can't be that far away - right ;-}? Good luck!
I was prescribed Topamax along with an appetite suppressant (Adipex) for weight loss a bit over a year ago and stopped taking them after two and a half months. I did not lose all of the weight I had wanted to, but most of it. I had gained 55 pounds while on Paxil over the course of two and a half years. By taking a combination of the two medicines, I lost 22 pounds the first month, 10 pounds the second month, and 8 pounds the first half of the third month.
Maybe it's not normal to have a fistula but vaginal gas is normal and natural and if you dont feel comfortable with your partner it's embarrassing I suppose to an extent but I am 23 and young and if some guy is going to judge me on such a natural occurence that's his deal. Try a different position where youre not stretched to wide and there's not excessive pumping. I know when i get air inside I feel sick and bloated it's uncomfortable.
I am a 25 year old male and am just getting started on meds. I have just been prescribed Zoloft to treat my bipolar disorder (manic depression). After reading some of the testimonials I am feeling a little nrvous about taking the drug. I have been very lethargic and sluggish for the past 12 months and after repeated family adivse choose to see a MD. I am to start with 25mg for a week and then switch to 50mg daily.
I've been taking 500mg metformin myself and I have not experienced any weight loss. I am actually taking it for diabetes treatment. But it has not helped with my weight loss.
I am currently taking 150mg of Zoloft in the morning and 50mg of Trazodone at night. At first I was only taking Zoloft and had minimal side-effects, but was having trouble sleeping so my Dr. prescribed Trazodone. Since taking the Trazodone I have been having night sweats almost every night. I wake up freezing cold and soaking wet and have to change my clothes before I can go back to sleep. I am wondering if the drugs might be causing this, or if it is probably something else.
I have always had low blood sugar or thryoid issues, problems such as heat intolerance, hand tremors, excessive sweating, tingling in lips and fingers, dizziness, fainting etc. I am currently taking a mood stabilizer Lamictal as well as Zoloft at fairly high dosages due to EXTREME anxiety issues with hypochondria. I recently went through about a week with sweating at night.
I'm a 32 year old male. Slightly overweight but I have always been a runner and in good physical shape. A few months ago I suddenly experienced what seems to have been a panic attack (out of the blue "whoosh" of dizziness, pounding heart, etc). Ended up in emergency with nothing showing to be wrong. Prior to this I was not an anxious person and didn't think of myself as having a hard time dealing with stress. I am also very social.
went to a nearby park today by myself I just could not stay in my house another minute walked for an hour..sweating, praying, and sobing the entire time..sat on a picnic table looking out over the lake and had a good conversation with myself and God...when I got home again I actually felt calm for a short while...and then reality set in again..but I will hang onto those few short minutes of peace...ok that is all for now..you all hang in there too!!!!
few days after this week, i had what i believe now was my first anxiety attack(severe heart palpitations, breathlessness, sweating), Doc came and heard my story and told me that i had Gas...gave me medicines and it relieved me to a certain level, but for months after this episode I became very sensitive...for example if I knew that I were to have a confrontation with someone I would start shaking, get breathless and had to seriously compose myself...I never went to Psychiatrist then.
The friend has reassured me time and time again that he is negative and plus we used protection. But everynow and then my ocd flares up and nothing that anyone says can convince me otherwise. The friend thinks that I am a complete lunatic and we hardly speak to each other anymore as a result of all this. This isn't the first time I have thought I have had HIV, in the past I have worried about this and despite negative tests I still remained convinced that I have HIV.
