Avatar m tn Some folks who have a chemical imbalance react really badly when they withdrawl, including myself. I had to take ativan to ease the symptoms of Cymbalta withdrawal. You have to go down incredibly slow, which you aren't doing. Going down to 1/2 the dose and now a very small amount is not great for you. The DT's will pass, but expect to have depression again which can happen fairly quickly while withdrawing.
Avatar m tn Can you ask your doc for clonidine? It does help with withdrawal symptoms and with cravings. Because of your treatment I really hesitate to give you much advice even on OTC drugs...one of them might react badly ... I know this from hubby's cancer treatment. Please be sure to talk to your doctor first before taking something new. You might want to talk to your doctor about B-12 injections to help with the energy.
Avatar m tn when you are withdrawing. They say to take a lot of them to combat the terrible withdrawal symptoms. I have used them before after a light binge and they worked wonders! Yes, it may take you a few days to "go" but eventually you will. :-) Consider yourself lucky for not having to suffer through withdrawal. It's perhaps the worst kind of sickness, for me anyway, that I've ever had to endure! Good luck!

The drug, ondansetron, (zofran) which is already approved to treat nausea and vomiting, appears to avoid some of the problems that accompany existing treatments for addiction to opiates.
Avatar n tn With my own research, I am reading that my symptoms may well be withdrawal from my scopolomine patch. 1448936 tn?1363206346 II'm on my lunch break at work but I can't eat. Too sick. I was so sick earlier that I had to take xanax to get through. It helped but I'm still not great. That's the strange thing I've noticed about benzos...once the withdrawal starts the meds only do so much for the symptoms. I've got zofran for the nausea but its barely taking the edge off. Avatar m tn Since my nausea is associated with Cannabis withdrawal, I am wondering, if I need to experience Nausea along with the other withdrawal symptoms, in order to stop it eventually. Does this medication just delay the Nausea? Once I stop taking the medication, and I have gone, say 30 days without pot, will I be Nauseous still? I cannot afford this medication for more than 30 days due to its cost.

Avatar f tn Nausea and i were best friends for awhile also,i was prescribed zofran which didnt help, then she gave me phenergen (promethazine). I took it at night to help sleep also, still do ocassionally. Everything youve described seems totally normal from what i experienced. Im 37 weeks +4 days now. Avatar f tn My boyfriend is on day 6 of taking no pain killers. He has been on it for years after a shoulder surgery. He has all the symptoms of withdrawal that I have read about. He hasn't told the doctor that he is addicted. Out of all the withdrawal symptoms the sleepless nights is what he can't handle. So he asked for sleeping pills. I first thought it was good idea because all of this is foreign to me but now I think it's a bad idea.
