Zofran while pregnant

Common Questions and Answers about Zofran while pregnant

zofran

However, when I looked up the safety online, I get mixed messages. I don't like to take anything while pregnant. I very rarely even took a Tylenol with my first two. I decided that I would only take the Zofran when I has somewhere to go and had to feel better. The problem is that today I didn't take one and I feel terrible. I have vomitted three times and don't feel like eating or dealing with my kids. What is the right thing to do?

5 MG and now I’ve broke pen the capsule and I’m taking 45 pellet of the 105 that are in the capsule … I went to my Doctor who said I should be able to quit it by now and I went two days with out it and I feel like I’m going to die. He gave me Zofran for the nausea but I’m afraid to take it because I don’t trust him now. Will Zofran help? Has anyone else taken it?
Zofran is wonderful and safe, but expensive.
I took zofran for a few weeks and now while I still have nausea I noticed I can keep it under control as long as I am sucking on something. I carry around a bag of jolly ranchers and that keeps me from feeling too sick inbetween meals. I imagine the preggie pops are the same concept.
Yes they can give you the pill. The preacription they give out will have the name Promethazine on the bottle and they give you 25 mg pills. It'll make you sleepy though so be careful.
Not to mention I feel really bad taking meds while pregnant as I rather things natural. It has been a full week and I want to stop taking them. Has anyone experienced hypermesis.
My OB prescribed me this for my nausea and like a dumb dumb I goggled the side effects and they seem like they outweigh the benefits. Has anyone else taken this drug while pregnant?
I was recently prescriped this before going on vacation to ease the nausea while on the trip. It works great. I have the dissolvable zofran which you put on your tongue. It definitely works and has helped me tremendously. I just was at the Docs. yesterday and he told me until the sickness ends to stop taking me prenatal vitamins since that can definitely cause more nausea and vomiting.
So first off im 26w3d. And i started my new job at a grocery store being a cashier. I work eight hours 5 or 6 days a week. My problem is the standing for 8 hours its is terrible. And i usually work till about 10 at night. My question is have any of you ladies had to quit because work was too hard on you while pregnant. Im also tired of hearing people say "oh well, i worked my entire pregnancy.." good for you?f Im soo tired of being tired and hurt all the time from work.
Hi, I've been trying to research as much as I can about the meds I"m on while I'm pregnant. I was in a head on collision this Feb, and therefore was put on Norco. I unexpectedly became pregnant in July. I tried to get off the Norco myself just because the fact I was pregnant and thinking ,Ok this is obviously not good for the fetus I'll find alternative ways to cope with my neck and back pain", well easier said then done.
I saw a commercial once (for smoking cigarettes while pregnant) and it was something like a baby smoking a cigarette while inside the mom. It didn't show for very long. Probably because it was pretty graphic and disturbing to watch. Anyway, that's what I think of. I wouldn't hand my baby a cigarette or a joint or a beer. In my mind, it would be like getting your baby high. I mean surely the baby would feel the effects of the pot. What KStar said is right....
My doctor put me on Zofran and I hesitated because I was worried about taking prescription drugs while pregnant. I'd be interested in hearing the good and bad from those who may have taken it too. I'm so sick that I wonder if I'm doing my baby more harm by not at least trying to find relief. I picked up the RX today....boy is it expensive. My insurance covered $900 of the 30 tablets, and I was left with a $75 co-pay. I'm taking 4 tablets per day. Yikes!
I had an u/s at 6 weeks and saw a good heart beat. I was prescribed Zofran for nausea and while on it I was pretty constipated.. only being able to go a small amount here and there. Shortly after I finished my bottle I have had horrible diarrhea for a week now, sometimes finding a little blood as well. I'm not sure why this is. If it's because I was so backed up or because I have stopped taking it. I have no other bad symptoms and have made sure to stay well hydrated. I see my dr on Thursday.
I think if acs finds out u may put ur baby at risk to have it being taken away. They drug test the baby when it's born..
If you have one child and you are pregnant with the same sex that your Son/Daughter will be really mean to you while pregnant. If you are pregnant with the opposite sex your Son/daughter will be extremely lovey. A lot of people that have heard this wives tale and believe it, believe that I am having a boy. I guess I will find out in 2 weeks.
I am 9 weeks 4 days pregnant and my nausea had been just as bad if not worse lately than it was earlier in my pregnancy. I never want to eat anything because it never sounds appetizing. I try to eat but mostly everything makes me so sick! What are some foods that y'all have ate while nauseous that didn't make you want to run to the bathroom to puke half way through?
Hi ladies I'm 14w4d pregnant but for some reason I dont feel pregnant at all! I never got sick., I only had breast tenderness from about w5 to w7. Im a little more tired but, literally thats it. I just wanna kniw if anybody else around my due date is experiencing this?
It worked for about 2 hours and then made me sick as a dog. I puked for 4 hours then they gave me zofran. Between the zofran and the moraphine my labor stalled out. The dr still can not assist my labor until I get to 5cm. I'm only 1/2 a cm away. Anyhow they sent me home so that I can relax and take it easy and wait for labor to start back up again. The nurses are great they all feel sorry for me. They were giving me tips on how to jump start labor tonight.
She can speak to her doctor and they can prescribe her something for the nausea (ask about Phenergen or Zofran...i find that phenergen works better but it makes you sleepy, zofran does not.) Is her doctor monitoring her weaning off of paxil? If so, he should be made aware of her problem and should be more than willing to prescribe something for her nausea. Good luck...
I am 8w prego today... But i dnt know why since i know i am pregnant...my apetite had gone.. If u force myself to eat smthing i feel very sick.. Is it normal...

I Think tums is ok, but I'd call your dr's office and ask what kind of anti-acid you can take.
/ I don't drink to much water because It makes me throw up right away but I eat a lot of fruits, veggies, and yogurt since that doesn't make me feel sick and all my kids are born healthy!
Hi Lexima about your question on Monistat. I've never used while being PREGNANT.... but recently I got a yeast Infection from the increased amount of discharge due to pregnancy and MY OB/GYN prescribed a medicine that is 3 day regimen and work GREAT, the name is TERCONAZOLE Vaginal Cream. I was also prescribed this 3day regimen medicine for yeast infection for my first pregnancy which was from another OB/GYN. BEST OF LUCK, I HOPE I'M NOT RESPONDING LATE TO YOUR QUESTION.
