zofran while pregnant

My OB prescribed me this for my nausea and like a dumb dumb I goggled the side effects and they seem like they outweigh the benefits. Has anyone else taken this drug while pregnant?

So has anyone taken zofran while pregnant? I try to stay away from all medicine except my vitamins but the other night I ate something and I'm guessing my baby really didn't like it because I've been kind of sick since then but the other night the nausea was unbearable so I took one.

Zofran is the most recommended medicine for nausea while your pregnant .

It is perfectly fine to take while pregnant I took it threw out my first pregnancy and I'm currently taking it now threw my second pregnancy :)

Anybody been prescribed this while pregnant. I'm dealing with insomnia and my doctor gave me some ambien but i didn't know if it was normal to give with pregnancy. ..

Ok I saw your comment but I have a home nurse and she told me anything I take while being pregnant the baby is at risk and I just don't understand how and why would they prescribe.

t say every signed person who takes it while pregnant will have a baby with a birth defect but while taking it in your first trimester it's risky plus it has never been tested for morning sickness just cancer patients and after surgery patients everyone is different just because your children are fine doesn't mean the next woman will have healthy children there is a risk plus again it's never been tested by the FDA for the treatment of morning sickness how about the woman who post th

Ok about this Zofran nonsense. I took it while pregnant with my 5 month old daughter. Your doctor would absolutely not put you and your baby in harms why. So ignore the stupid commercials. I was gonna call my doctor this morning to get perscribed something for my nausea but it went away. And she normally perscribes Zofran. You absolutely cannot believe everything you see on t.v. and the internet.

It depends where you live, some places it is legal.

If you are worried, you can call your local pregnancy hotline. Zofran is the only thing keeping me eating and drinking while pregnant. I ended up in the ER without it. LOVE IT!

I have had extreme naseau for the last week. To the point that I can barely take care of my other two kids. I can't eat and really don't feel like getting out of bed. I was prescribed Zofran 4mg. I took one yesterday and it was a miracle drug! However, when I looked up the safety online, I get mixed messages. I don't like to take anything while pregnant. I very rarely even took a Tylenol with my first two.

I had to take it for months it will keep you from being sick.

I personally have known multiple women who took zofran while pregnant and their babies are perfectly healthy. Chances are your baby will be perfectly healthy as well.

I'm sorry if anyone was offended by my post, I was just stating my opinion on the drug. &nd seeing it on a commercial saying it causes birth defects could never sit right with me and I'm taking it (plus they show the commercial so much it stays on my mind). I understand there are risk for ANYTHING you do while pregnant but I'd rather not up the Annie.

I've been doing a lot of searching on the web about this drug and now I'm scared to death to take this drug!! My doctor keeps saying to take it if I'm sick/throwing up still and I've seen on other forums women who say they took it and there baby was fine but then on other websites u see all these lawsuits women have filled bc of the side affects and u see how its hasn't been approved for pregnant women!!!????

I saw a commercial today saying that if you were pregnant and took zofran that you and your child could get a financial compensation. The Zofran caused the baby to get cleft pallet. Has anyone heard of any issues with zofran?? I was on that for the longest time for my sickness!
