Gel phenegran did the trick for me! Zofran just gave me a headache and didn't help.
I can't hardly eat because food is nasty to me! I have to take a Zofran to even be able to eat. The last pregnancy I had which turned out into a m/c it was nothing like this one. I was never sick at all. When I first got pregnant I had cramps in my ovaries and spotting but all that has went away. Now I'm just have nausea and can't eat. I've lost 7lbs. I'm eating like 6 times a day but its like the baby is taking all of it and leaving me with nothing.
I had to go home sick from work yesterday. He prescribed me Prometh Gel. It cost me 60 with insurance...ouch! So I thought for sure it would help the nurse said I would feel 100% better. Well after 24 hours of the prometh Gel I actually feel worse so I called them back and they prescribed me Reglan. I have taken 2 doses of the Regaln and I feel like there is no relief in site. I need some advise on what to take and why I am so sick. I had morning sickness with my DS but nothing like this.
So I made a little igloo all around me in the bed w/ the gel packs my rx is shipped in. Needless to say, it was hard getting up the last 3 days. I took Vistaril tonight. I hope it helps. Even tho they called in zofran? I'm not gonna need it tonight. SE are so unpredictable! I have to start this routine so early in the morning and evening. I also take Nadolol for portal hypertension. I take omega 3 n Vit D with Riba. Multivitamin. Skipped the shake today. I've GOT to get out of bed tomorrow!
Hot water with lemon, saltine crackers, papaya enzyme tablets, peppermint tea, aloe Vera gel tablets, vitamin b6, and lemon candies,
I couldn't take the Unisom and Vitamin B6 during the day because I would pass out lol, so I could only use it at night my Dr had to prescribe me something else to help ease my nausea during the day (Zofran). Also I took the soft gel form, don't know if there’s any difference, and my Dr said that it is perfectly safe to take while pregnant.
Take omeprazole (empty stomach in morning) and antacid gel and see if it helps. Liver and kidney dysfunction is another cause. Hence kidney and liver function tests should be done. Other causes are diabetes and hypothyroidism. Electrolyte imbalance too can cause nausea. IBS, gluten or lactose intolerance, parasites in gut too can be the cause. A stool test should be done for worms, giardiasis etc. Chronic hepatitis or chronic infection of the gall bladder are the other possibilities.
Triamcinolone topical may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide. What is Zofran? I have been on phenegran, reglan, and zofran. Nothing is working for me. I have had an upper gi, an endoscopy, an ultrasound, a hide a scan (for my gallbalder). All of these tests come back negative so we are back at square one. I cant go on like this. I miss work. I am sick non stop and I really dont know what else to do. Can anyone give me some insight?
from the time I was very young I had issues with toothpaste so much so that I could not use it, it is the mint...so I use a gel flavored with cinnamon works great for me, but the mint tooth paste and OJ made AM's even worse....
nausea, That's all for nausea and vomiting during The day, for morning sickness, Hot water with lemon, saltine crackers, papaya enzyme tablets, peppermint tea, aloe Vera gel tablets, vitamin b6, and lemon candies, This is all from a paper my own dr gave me
I haven't had this trouble at all my entire pregnancy and I'm currently 24 weeks. However, my mom had it throughout her entire pregnancy with me and had to stop brushing her teeth. The only thing I can suggest is maybe listening to music and focusing on it while you brush your teeth slowly and don't bother brushing your tongue because that will almost definitely set you off. Good luck!
My lumbar pain is manageable and can be relieved by taking pressure off the region (laying with legs propped for a couple hours). I have taken Zofran for nausea at least 2-3x per week for over a month... My stool is now in the form of dense pellets with mucous.
Sports bras definitely help the boob pain, phenegran gel worked wonders on my nausea. I tried zofran, reglan, phenegran pills but what helped was te gel. My dr also told me to take unisom and B6 vitamins at night so I didn't wake up sick all night long.. You could ask your doctor about that.. My mom freaked out about it lol but me and my husband were just stoked I wasn't getting up every five minutes lol I'm still tired as everything and nothin helps that.
My doctor is wonderful though and has switched my medicine around until we figured out what would help enough for me to get food down and hole it down... Zofran made my head feel like it would explode so we ruled that out... Reglan made me use the bathroom constantly, so that was thrown out! Phenegran gel worked for the day! I put it on about 30 mins before I ate and any other time I felt sick. And at night they tried an old wives tale that WORKED! B6 vitamins and unisom.
I didn't get the gel packs to put in my shoes, but I did get the gel packs for my wrists and ankles. I actually just left them in the freezer that is in the kitchen in the chemo room at my Oncology Center. I also kept a box of frozen fruit bars there, too (the nurses put them in a Ziplock bag with my name on it), so I wouldn't have to bother with bringing it all from home.
I had to constantly have a little something in my stomach to keep me from getting debilitating nausea! They put me on Zofran, a medicine that helped immensely with the nausea, though.
I am not ready to run a marathon, but I am not in bed except for at night time (except for a couple of weeks before I got the Zofran). My main problem with side effects is that they wear on you, not that each of them is severe. But that is just me. I will admit crapping shards of glass might have been a deal breaker had I not figured out how to prevent it. The rash is a pain in the butt but not a deal breaker. It does not prevent me from doing anything.
Have a question for anyone that can help.:o) I started on progestrone gel suppositories around 1 1/2 weeks ago. The first night i took it, about an hour after, I had a very bad belly ache for about 45 minutes, then went away. Then good for 2 nights after that. Then the next morning after about day 4 i woke with severe stomach pain that made me vomit. That was scary. I was checked, all is well. Now, I am experiencing VERY BAD nausea and some vomiting...
Carry all this in my purse w/ tuks, balneol cream, Zofran, sunflower seeds, almonds, and hi fat granola. And always the riba n incivik. It really is funny when you think how much our lives have changed...
This time it got so bad I didn't want ANYTHING. And drinking water was a chore. I was prescribed phenergan and zofran for the nausea. Phenergan helps a lot and I am able to eat. Also with Brody, I wanted salty-sour foods, pizza, cokes, tea and all the not so good stuff. I'm eating better this time. I want healthy stuff like apples, Nutri-Grain bars, juices, water etc. I don't drink any soda's, don't drink tea or anything else really besides water. Every now and then I drink orange juice.
e. Phenergan, Marinol, Zofran). I have had no success with these nausea drugs. I don't believe that there is anything new or that they would be of benefit to me. I have used Enbrel. After the initial injection, it provided only two days of relief. Not only is it cost prohibitive; but when I took a second injection, it did nothing. In 2005 I experienced a full remission for a period of nearly three years. I believe that it was possibly due to menopause and hormonal changes.
You can try 1/2 unisom (with doxy..not the gel kind) and 25mg. B6. This did not relieve my nausea but it did keep me from throwing up. I NEVER threw up while taking this. My friends here all take it too and my dr said it is very safe. It is actually a prescription in Canada called Diclectin. It is Canada's first line of treatment for morning sickness. The next think I tried (to help with the nausea) was a prescription from my dr. called Zofran.
It's also been too much for the Zofran to keep in check, so that's been ... not cute. So that's pretty much what I've been up to and why I have barely made headway at all on my goal of getting caught up on my backlog here. :-/ It's my birthday week now, and my new goal is just to muster up enough "not sick" by THE day to actually follow through with my plans to enjoy myself. You only turn 29 for the 3rd time once!
I try sipping tea for the nausea, just because warmth to me is comforting and cammomile or mint teas do help with nausea. Have you tried zofran or any other anti-nausea med by prescription? They help for some. There is no easy fix to help you keep going. In fact, there is NOTHING I can do to keep going when I feel bad, which is more often now. That is why I have opted to have the decompression surgery now, as opposed to waiting for the end of the school year. I can't push myself.
I am hypermesis (sp?). I was so sick at one point I was in the hospital. I took B-6, Zofran and the best thing that worked for me is an all natural item. It is called Prima Bella. it is a band that you wear on your wrist and no it is not a travel (sea) band. Those didn't work at all for me!!! This is something youu have to get prescribed from your doctor. It looks like a watch with two metal plates on the bottom. You face those to the bottom of your wrist.
Lol oops I said bag instead of vag sorry lol lol lol. Anyways, insert 2 gel caps into your vagina near your cervix (poke a hole in the gel cap first) and the oil will soften your cervix and the nipple stimulation work to dilate you. But I totally recommend the nipple stimulation I has read tons about it and thought it was completely nuts but amazingly it worked! It just takes time. I promise do it for at least an hour and you will have contractions.
