If you got the flu shot you most likely have the flu I would go to hospital so they can test you because the flu is very contagious and your putting others at risk. If you can't keep fluids down that is harmful to your baby because it can cause dehydration. And is some cases the flu has been known to kill unborn baby. Just go to the doctors to see what is going on better be safe and find out early then to be sorry and find out if is the flu.
I took one, when I had stomach flu. Then I found out about the heart defects. I threw the rest away. Wasn't worth the risk to me. That's a personal choice though. Doctors are only human. The prescribe meds and procedures knowing that there are risks and some people will be badly effected.
Rash may be from allergy to zofran. She should STOP taking it and have allergy test for zofran done. If sore throat fels like a heartburn - acidic feeling, than this is from acid comming up from the stomach. She needs a BREAT TEST for H. pylori bacteria, which most commonly cause the gastritis, which causes this acid reflux.

Hi Girls, Well, I came down with the stomach flu yesterday and would like to just crawl up under a rock. I couldn't keep anything down yesterday and today have managed to keep down some Sprite. I've never had the stomach flu with my other pregnancies. Does anyone know if it has any reprecussions? I'm only 7 weeks along. Thanks!
Hi i have been taking tramadol for over 3 years but for 2 only once in a while last year i had a very huge family problem and threw my self on the pills, end up taking 7/8 pills (50mg) a day for about 4 months,I'm now on my second day of withdrawal and I'm not so bad yet, the worse is the energy levels, I'm taking tubercoulosis treatment so my Doctors have me Zofran for the side effects of the treatment and I'm taking the chance to use the zofran they have me to kick the habit as far as possible
What can I do for my morning sickness when my zofran only works for about 45 minutes? Crackers, water, eating, or carbonated drinks are not helping me either.
I'm 4 months and have had the flu for past 2 days. Was given a prescription for zofran but I'm still super exhausted and worried it will hurt the baby all this vomiting and and soreness around my back and stomach.
I haven't peed since like 4 pm yesterday evening so I'm probably dehydrated. Phenergan and zofran are not helping, even called my doc and he upped my dosage, still puking. Do you girls think it is flu or something else?
About 6 years ago I had a horrible stomach virus that lasted for 5 days. By day 5 I couldn't even touch my stomach. So went to the Dr. He did blood tests and found out I had had pancreatitis. Went for every test under the sun with a GI Dr.through the next 3-6 months. Endoscopy showed inflammation of the stomach lining. I had a MRCP, which is an endoscopy where they look at your gallbladder and they found some sludge.
Just another name for stomach flu Viral gastroenteritis is an intestinal infection marked by watery diarrhea, abdominal cramps, nausea or vomiting, and sometimes fever. The most common way to develop viral gastroenteritis — often called stomach flu — is through contact with an infected person or ingestion of contaminated food or water. If you're otherwise healthy, you'll likely recover without complications.
They sell things called preggie pops and preggie drops they are made with certain oild such as lemon, lavendar, peppermint, ginger I like them....

I have had the same problem for about a month now, when I was younger (about ten or eleven) I had the 'eggy burps' usually after I had been particularly sick with one of the strains of flu (particularly stomach flu) just recently it got worse, it was non-stop hell for a day and a half, and now that I have just recently started eating properly again, I've noticed that there is always one connection to this problem (for me anyway, it could be different for everyone) if I eat any type of cheese, I
Still not wanting to eat since I feel very nauseated even just drinking the water. Any ideas? Stomach flu? Severe morning sickness? Combo? I haven't had my first ob appointment yet since I'm 6wks4days today. My appt is scheduled for Dec 2nd. I have been doing the 1oz of water thing as recommended by a nurse at a local small town hospital.
I've also heard something called Iberogast can help, but I don't know much about that (yet). Have they found a cause for the illness yet? Diabetes only accounts for about 20% of all cases. 36% of cases are idiopathic (me, for example, although I think it's my gallbladder dyskinesia combined with a postviral illness) with up to 1/3 of these being post infectious. (A bad flu can develop into gastroparesis.) The other most common cause is post surgical. Other causes, too many to list.
Hi - if you are reading this you are probably in raging withdrawals or getting information about how to handle withdrawal. I am almost 60 days clean from 4 10/350 hydros a day for years, plus less consistent use for years before that. I also took somas, ambien and xanax which have all been tapered down and stopped. I stopped because I was sick of HAVING to take a pill to feel normal and they no longer worked for my pain. I knew I would be sick in stopping so I kept putting it off.
Yes and then it went away for 2 days then I got the flu that my.
I also think you should ask your dr for something to take care of your cough, bless your heart. I had bronchitis a few weeks ago & took some Tussin (prescription strength) for it & I grilled both my dr and pharmacist (which happens to be my dh) about it being safe for pregnant women which they assured me it was. I hope you get to feeling better really, really soon!!
Yes, it can have some stomach upsets - for me it was and is mainly nausea, but a super weird type, as in I am a bit crampy and nauseated yet the thought and smell of food doesn't really make me want to hurl. Very odd. In any case it has subsided now that the first month is over, and they do have some pretty fine meds for nausea: Zofran is your FRIEND.
After this event, I went to several doctors to try to figure out what had happened, and one concluded that I must have just had some virus, and another found nothing wrong after numerous tests. However, I do have pretty frequent stomach aches for no apparent reason, and they seem to happen most when I am stressed or anxious, so now I am considering the possibility that it could have been an anxiety attack.
yes she would be in the hospitol with iv fluids if she was pg and puking that much there is no way i believe much of what shehas to say. she is not in the bathroom, she is trying to figure out what to say next.
I had 2 bouts of stomach flu while there and had spells of rapid heart rates. I had to be monitored constantly...I was dilated 4cm ehe I went in and had off and on contractions...the baby was great through all of this and was born 4 weeks early ( I was induced) weighing in at 7 pounds 11 ozs. His name is Marty Jr. after my husband. We both went home in 24 hrs thank goodness as I was tired of being there. He is doing great and is an absolute testamony to God's grace and goodness!! I'm so blessed.
My mums sickness was always managed by anti-sickness drugs until she went on caeylx. Keep encouraging your mum to drink water and ask her doctor for something for constipation. My mum suffered with a bowel obstruction so if you can keep things 'moving' all the better. One other thing, feeling overwhelmed is completely natural. I went to all my mums hospital appointments with her and I felt exactly the same. But it made me and my mum even closer which I didn't think possible.
Hey - I've been taking the medicine when I first wake up too - maybe I will try tomorrow to take it after I've had breakfast. Thanks for letting me know that! It's nice to have input from others that are going through the same thing! Can't wait to try it differently tomorrow! Thanks for the advice!
On past treatments he has also had Zofran for nausea, raw ginger/ginger candy/ginger tea for nausea, procrit, neuopogen, and antibiotics for various sides
