I got food poisoning and went to emergency most likely give you zofran to stop vomiting and or put you on a drip to rehydrate you depending how bad it is.

Omg! I feel so sorry for you I caught food poisoning at 18 weeks it stayed for at least a week! It got so bad the nausea and the dirreah that my doctor ended up putting in the hospital due to dyhydration and lack of eating. The only thing I tell you is get zofran prescribed from the doctor and also don't go w/o eating or drinking for more than two days. Sorry to hear this news get better soon!

I was also told that as long as ur not using it like crazy that u shud b fine. I had food poisoning 2 weeks ago and was perscribed it by the ER.

It sounds like you may have caught a stomach bug, have food poisoning or have an infection. Make an appointment with your doctor so that he/she can do up some work to see what's going on. In the mean time, make sure you take in plenty of fluids (especially something like Gatorade/Powerade) so that you don't become dehydrated. If your condition worsens before seeing the doctor, head back to the ER. Good luck and take care!

Oh I know zofran is the miracle pill. I was prescribed that a few months ago because I got food poisoning, maybe I'll just take that. Thanks! I hope it gets easier for you!

The other possibility is that perhaps you had a touch of food poisoning but with your house having a stomach virus, likely you did as well and while the meds you took (don't take someone else's meds, take only what is prescribed by a doctor for you personally)--- stopped vomiting, it doesn't mean you didn't have the virus and other effects of it. good luck and are you better now?

I didn't go to the hospital but between 15 & 20 weeks I also had food poisoning from fish I ate. I was scared for my baby & thought it was the stomach bug & everyone told me "oh its just morning sickness" no, it wasnt. thank you for telling me & my body was it is. worse 2 days of my life.

I only had food poisoning once from leftover turkey soup and it was rather sudden and very violent, lasting several days. At around week 4, I picked up a very nasty intestinal bug that quickly resulted in losing about 5 lbs. Due to just starting tx, it made the recovery a bit more challenging for the following several days. Smart move on staying well hydrated.

thank you for your concern i'm seeing the doctor monday but i'm sure my baby will be fine i didn't get any of the usual food poisoning symptoms i was just nauseous for a few hours so the throwing up probably worked

I'm pretty sure with food poisining, you don't get the cravings for more bad food. Or the depression. But you can do this, you'll get thru it and feel better real soon. Stay strong and hang in there. keep posting, we're all here for you.

I made steak for dinner two nights ago. Medium rare but only right around the center. but i was fine that night. Then i ate the leftovers yesterday around 4pm. Around 5-6pm i started feeling really weird. Shortness of breath, nausea, and just all around strange. Then around 8 i started throwing up everything in my stomach. I couldn't hold down water. I couldn't even keep down tums to relieve the burning in my throat and chest. After, i started experiencing contractions.

I agree with Cliff, a week is a very very long time for a young dog not to have eaten and kept food down. This is now an emergency and needs a vet's attention. Your dog is by now seriously under nourished and probably dehydrated, in addition to whatever it is that is ailing her. Please get her to a vet straight away.
