I never used it during pregnancy but thy did give me a high dosage of it during labor it worked so good.

I took zofran from the time I was 2 months pregnant until birth for severe morning sickness . My son was born with no hand . I dont know if theres a coneection .

I took zofran this pregnancy and my baby boy is completely healthy. No defects founds. Every nedicine has risks while pregnant.

Try eating some saltine crackers and drink some water and lay down and take deep breaths. That's what I did when I felt sick and it helped me.

So, we just found out that I'm a few weeks pregnant and I have been getting incredibly nauseous when I eat. This is ky 3rd pregnancy and for the first 2 I had "morning sickness." I've gotten some tylenol but are there any home remedies to get rid of headaches and migraines quickly?

Mint tea also helps a ton or even just sucking on a peppermint. That helped me a lot. I was also prescribed zofran from my doctor. It tastes awful but it helps.

Yeah the Zofran "study" is total ********. It's only if you're getting the 32mg IV dosage on a regular basis that any problems can occur. Those on 4-8mg pills or IV doses are perfectly fine. You can take up to 32mg per day, just not all at the same time. I'm part of a group of 3000 moms, all of who have been on Zofran, and not one of them has had issues from the Zofran. I'm on it myself, along with Diclegis.

Ask Dr for zofran, the 4 mg dissolving ones. Lifesaver in my last 2 pregnancies.

It seems like everything triggers it for me.I recently got prescribed a low dosage of Zofran. It helps sometimes, but not all the time. I really don't want to depend on the medication all the time, so sometimes I just tough it out as best as I can. I have it all day long everyday. I am hoping as well for it to disappear soon. But I have heard some women get stuck with it the whole pregnancy. Crossing my fingers it won't happen.

I was recently sent to the ER by my ob for rehydration since I wasn't able to keep ANYTHING down for the past week. I was prescribed zofran but it honestly doesn't seem to be working for me. I'm 9wks. My prev pregnancy I had bad nausea but not nearly this bad vomitting. Anyone experiencing the same???

Evening, my sister had her first chemo with Cisplatin. She has been very nauseous for the last 3 days. She has tried drinking ice water, ice chips, propel, ginger ale . She is taking the following ani-nausea medicines zofran every 8 hours and taking promethazine every 4 hours. Does anyone have any suggestions to help with the nausea? Also if you are on or have had cisplatin , please let us know what your dosage is and how bad the nausea is?

I would highly recommend Zofran. It is used for nausea and it works WONDERS! They have other drugs likes Phenergan and Compozine, but the side effects are long and AWFUL (I know because I have taken both). I just looked at the med fact on Zofran and while it doesn't say much about breastfeeding while taking Zofran, there aren't any known problems with taking it during pregnancy.

t really had significant relief. I heard about zofran but it has some slight risks for the baby and if you miss a dose you get really sick. Can someone clarify this for me?

Case reports have described two women who have received ondansetron during pregnancy for life-threatening hyperemesis gravidarum. No abnormalities were noted in the offspring of these two women. Ondansetron is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk.

Is zofran safe to rake during pregnancy? I've read some stories and some say it's not and can cause heart defects is this true?

I would just keep on your Dr about it and if he still won't take you seriously or offer any advice then maybe look for a different Dr or midwife...sorry I can't be more helpful! Good luck!!

It is perfectly fine to take while pregnant I took it threw out my first pregnancy and I'm currently taking it now threw my second pregnancy :)

This is my second pregnancy , my first was so awful I wasn't keeping anything down not even meds and I lost 20lbs the first trimester from my MS. I'm hoping this one goes smoothly . I was 150 before pregnancy got down to 123..Zofran worked great I just took something for constipation and then I was fine...without it I was miserable..I'm now 36 weeks and I weigh 148 baby is over 5 pounds.. don't scare this mom with that non sense about that lawsuit.. I believe God takes care of his people and that's that..

They both work pretty good for me..the zofran does work a little better for me though but it makes me so constipated (tmi) and the promethazine will make you so sleepy! I still need both occasionally :/ 32 weeks today!

I loved on it for my first pregnancy and my son was born with an enlarged kidney. Luckily it doesnt seem to effect him now but whose to say later in life.
