I've also been taking it since I was 7 weeks and I'm 38 and still take it.

At 6 weeks I was diagnosed with Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG); which is chronic nausea, vomiting , dehydration and weight loss. I was on Zofran (every 4 hours) and Reglan (every 6 hours). It wasn't really working because I would throw it up! When I was 10 weeks the doctors put me on a 24 hour Zofran pump that automatically pumps the meds into my stomach. That has been working a lot better.

My second pregnancy I took Zofran the whole time and I am 19 weeks pregnant with my third and I am still taking it. My morning sickness tends to last the whole pregnancy.

Worked awesome for the nausea and sickness... I then got constipated..

I used zofran in both my pregnancy I used it everyday for like 6 months with my first my daughter had to holes in her heart that she still has today an she's 3 my son only had a small hole an closed around 1 year I didn't know the effects until this pregnancy an i have the extreme morning sickness there's a fancynword for it I take diclegis a few times a day an it works great

Hi, I am 6 weeks pregnant almost 7 now and I have had the worse nausea of my life. Not much of throwing up just nausea. I was prescribed Zofran to help with that but I have found that a lot of women who have taken it have had their child born with deformities. Has anyone taken this medicine before???

The only thing that helped me during my second pregnancy was lemonade. Sipping on that helped. This pregnancy it's off and on nausea and I just take half a phenergan at bedtime if it's bad enough.

I am the mother of four grown children, I had severe nausea, vomiting right up through my 7th month, I lost more than 20 lbs during my pregnancy and I had to work and function regardless of the nausea and vomiting. We did not have the convenience of "a pill" to take nausea away. We had to tough it out, vomit our guts up, and did it without putting our babies at risk.

Yes, definitely ask your doctor fir zofran. I couldnt even hold water down and the doctor prescribed me zofran bc I waa getting dehydrated.

So my doctor prescribed me some nausea medicine called zofran and I was watching a commercial on tv and it was talking about how babies are being born with birth defects after using the nausea medicine zofran. So should I stop taking it and find other ways to deal with the nausea ? or should I continue to use it if my doctor recommended it.

This time it isnt nearly as bad but definitely feeling sick and very tired. Zofran and anything minty were always right by my side. Sometimes jolly ranchers would help. Hope you feel better soon!

I am almost 36 weeks with my first baby and I took zofran and still do when I develop nausea. It really has helped me , but on the other hand everyone is different . I say just try it and if it doesn't work then tell your doctor and they will give you something different .(: Hope you feel better .

Yup, I'm still on it twice a day. I'm 13 weeks along. It helps to calm my nausea, I still vomit daily and still have nausea intermittently throughout the day but it's much worse without the zofran!!!!! Hoping I can stop taking it now that I'm in the second trimester!!

Hi this is my 3rd pregnancy 2and for my first one I suffered 24/7. This time round I am using zofran 2 takes most of nausea away and stops most vomiting ( unless baby doesn't like what I have eaten. It's been a godsend as I need 2 be able to look after my other 2 kids as well.

Have you tried Zofran? My first pregnancy I was sick for 6 months straight.. All I drank was milk and ate potatoes.. Nasty I know.. But I tried everything and anything to keep the nausea to a minimum..

Any already moms used ZOFRAN during their pregnancy and baby came out perfectly fine? i started zofran a four weeks ago and i must admit i feel guilty for taking the pills but i was prescribed the pills vecause i couldnt hold anything down. i tried eveything and nothing helped. Zofran has been helping so much! i am able to keep foods down. still get horrible nausea but at least im able to eat. i tried to stop taking them but i threw up the whole entired day.

This is my second pregnancy , my first was so awful I wasn't keeping anything down not even meds and I lost 20lbs the first trimester from my MS. I'm hoping this one goes smoothly . I have been taking zofran since I was 5 weeks pregnant. At about 13 weeks the nausea eased up, and was only bothersome ocassionally. The last 2 weeks or so it has gotten bad again even worse than the beginning of my pregnancy. I can't eat without my stomach getting upset and feeling very sick. Anyone else have this happen? What did u do to help ease the nausea at this point in pregnancy? Still taking zofran but doesn't seem to help like it did before.

I felt the same way all the time with my first pregnancy and convinced myself that every time I felt sick I needed to eat. I gained nearly 60 pounds. However, I also lost all but 10 pounds of it with in two weeks after birth. Good luck, and just try to remember you are growing a new life.

Is zofran safe to rake during pregnancy? I've read some stories and some say it's not and can cause heart defects is this true?

Yeah the Zofran "study" is total ********. It's only if you're getting the 32mg IV dosage on a regular basis that any problems can occur. Those on 4-8mg pills or IV doses are perfectly fine. You can take up to 32mg per day, just not all at the same time. I'm part of a group of 3000 moms, all of who have been on Zofran, and not one of them has had issues from the Zofran. I'm on it myself, along with Diclegis.

I take zofran when my nausea is unbearable! I don't take it every 6 hours like the directions say! Its best not take anything but Zofran is great when its not being over used! It can make constipation worse if you take it like candy! I prefer my Zofran as needed - Thank God for it!

I have a friend that took it while she was pregnant. . . And she took it thru out her entire pregnancy for nausea and her baby was just fine. . . full term . . .no problems at all. Now she's 1 and wont sit down and full of energy.

zofran is safe :). there are 2 nausea medicines that are considered safe for pregnancy, and zofran sounds like the better choice for you (since phenergan makes you sleepy, and that's the other option, i think it would freak you out!). every medicine is going to carry warnings, and there will be people who SWEAR that this medicine caused this or that...but that's the internet for you. it is considered safe, and your OB only prescribed it because they felt it was safe....

Hello! This is me and my husband's first pregnancy/baby :-) I am 8.5 weeks and the morning sickness is so bad I can't anything! I go from bed to couch back to bed... I work full time and have had to call out several times so far... MD gave me some anti nausea pills they kind of work but mostly put me to sleep...any suggestions?
