If treated w. 2 g zithromax for NSU, how long would that mask incubating syphillis. IE, how long after taking zithromaz could a follow up syphillis test be done and be valid?
Why would you think that they got tested just this past week and both were negative? And yes I did see the results with my own eyes. I just don't understand this. They also gave me 1000mg of Zithromax today. Is that going to be effective and if so is that good for anything else that may be going on? The gonnohrea, syphillis, and hiv all came back negative. I went to a walk-in clinic and was given ZMAX 2MG oral liquid solution and a 250mg shot of Ceftriaxone in case it was Chlamydia/Gonohorea. Test results indicated it was not, whoever I had been taking other antibiotics so the results may have been skewed. Regardless, the ZMAX 2MG and the 250mg shot of Ceftriaxone would have taken care of one of those infections.
This is a really annoying pain I'm having and I'm actually quite scared.
Everything else was negative and the HIV test was oraquick-sure test. I went to a clinic and they gave me doxy-7 days, zmax-2 Grams and PEP. I started the PEP 60 hours later from the act, and all my tests came back negative. Now that we have the results, here are my questions. 1.
The doctor though told me that it was weird the red spots went away. She prescribed me Zmax. I feel my lips are swollen but they do not look swollen. Is it me just thinking about too much or do I have symptoms of Herpes????? I am going nuts....and I wont get my tests results until the 13 of January. Also, if is Herpes, is the Zmax I drunk making the effects of Herpes go away but of course I will still get the blisters???
I was given zithromax pills to cure an infection, the pills were to big for me to swallow so I let them dissolve in a little water, then drunk them. Will they have the same effect even though I did not swallow them whole????

I would like to know please if like a day or two following 1,5g single dose of zithromax can someone develop an itchy skin rash for 6 days with red spots on the torso and few pimples on the arms and legs, nothing on the face or neck.

I dated a guy back from October-December and we had sex about 5 times. I know it is not healthy to do this but I recently became paranoid and took 1g of Zithromax today just in case of a STD. I was tested before this guy and was clean. I am unable to get a STD test due to facilities closing pretty early and will get one in a couple months but do you think the 1g would have cured gonnoreha, chlamydia, and syphilis if I did have it?
I got the result when I arrived- and I tested positive. So I went to local doctor in Italy and he prescribed 500mg Zithromax (12 tablets) and said take one a day for 12 days... that seems a lot. I took one yesterday and one today... not sure what to do now! Most sites say 1000mg is enough!
1) Would 5 days of doxycycline and on day 6 the 1.5 g zithromax cure chlamydia if present?
2) I used zithromax back in july for an ear infections. Would this build up resistance against chlamydia due to overuse of zithromax?

it went away but came back, so possibly the Zithromax is not strong enough to eliminate possible MG. Presumably if it was MG then 1g Zithromax was doing no good & it was now resistant against it. However I then was given a 3rd 1g & it went away for 4years. So is MG ruled out based on this as i didn't take Moxi or 5days of Zithromax prior to the 4years clear spell? Note: Doxy was also taken prior to the 4year clear spell but this isn't good against MG.
I received zithromax (azithromycin) for 5 days. (500 mg the first day and 250 mg day 2-5). The symptoms have improved, for example I no longer have the morning discharge that I had before and the stains in my underwear have almost disappeared. It is now 5 days since I took the last dose of zithromax. I still have some mucus strings and mucus debris in my urine. I did not have this before the STD so I know it is not normal for me.

ever since I took zithromax a month ago, I haven't felt well. Upset stomach, loose stool,etc.. I have GERD and a hiatal hernia and I am prone to chest pains, etc. Have had many tests and they say there is nothing wrong with my heart. However, ever since I took the meds, I have been having back, shoulder, arm, stomach and chest discomfort. The pain travels and is short lived, and sometimes it gets worse when sitting.
I was treated for Gonnorhea, and Clamydia with an injection and Zithromax. My partner was given Cipro for UTI, Suprax and Zithromax he started the Cipro last Thursday and when positive results came back yesterday started the other two meds, his symptoms were gone before starting the Zithromax and Suprax, I had no symptoms. I went to another doctor and he prescribed 1g of Zmax, and 10 days of 500mg twice daily of Metronidazole. The Symptoms once again disappeared, now 7 days after I finished treatment, the symptoms have now reoccurred. I don't know what do to, I know I need to see the doctor again, but I cannot find any information about this. Any insight?
Last weekend he was coughing violently and was put on zithromax thinking it was a sinus infection. However, how his cough, while subsided, sounds horrible. I heard a commercial for pertussis and that's how his cough sounds!
Would whooping cough make him not want to eat? He takes two bites of something and that's it. No fever, very active, some diarrhea, and this 'cough'.
Also, would the zithromax take care of it if it was whooping cough?
