A few weeks later I went back in still having flow issues, he prescribed cipro for 7 days, which helped for a little while and cleared up flow issues. I've had a fever between 100.5-101.8 over the last two days, burning urination, blood in urine, slight fatigue at night, and no other symptoms. I just began taking an unused Z-pak I've had. I know this could be chlamydia, gonorrhea, and or UTI.

well,where do i start,i was put on azithrymicin,z pak, got bacteria vaginosis,was given a round of flagyl after 10 days after being on the z pak,developed thrush and only took 2 flagyl so i never cleared the bv. took nyastin for a week did not work,then fluconzole for a week ,1 pill 100 mg for 7 days,worked ut i think i got lichen planus in my mouth. tongue hurts and burning,now i still have o take flagyl to clear up the bv.
Z-packs (azithromycin = Zithromax) have worked quite well for my daughter's strep infections.
Z-pac is usually a five day course of antibiotic that lasts for ten days. I would recommend that if you are not feeling better by day five that you go ahead and call the dr's office and see what they recommend. You definitely want the infection to be gone by the time your antibiotic stops working. Some people take a steroid to help with the inflamation in the throat.
Then roughly a week and a half ago I developed a sore throat. I got a Z-pak and did the 5 days and that was 5 days ago. I still have the sore throat. My glands aren't swollen and neither are my lymph nodes. I'm not running a fever and there are no white spots/markings of any kind. Overall I feel fine but just can get seem to shake this sore throat. Any thoughts?
Yes, it scars your lungs. I've had it 5 times in my life now (first was around 15 yrs old)... and I've had anti-biotic resistant strain before resulting in hospitalization while pregnant with twins. I took 4 days of the Z-pak and the pneumonia got worse. I ended up hospitalized for a week and lost the babies in 2005. I have it again right now. Just make sure you listen to your body. My current doc told me I had Bronchitis.
