Z-packs (azithromycin = Zithromax) have worked quite well for my daughter's strep infections.

They did a preliminary test there and said there was an abnormal high white blood count. The PA gave me a prescription for four zithromax tablets and a ten day, two a day doxycycline tablets. Week 6: Less Phlegm but my ears started hurting and I had some pain under my jaw. Like 2 lines. Went back to the doctor and she gave me a nasal spray to reduce the phlegm in my throat. She gave me another prescription for zithromax.
Sorry to open this post back up, but I went to see my doctor today for the follow up. I still have a slight discharge, but it is mostly present in the morning. My doctor says that I should have been fine by now. He said that he doesn't think the zithromax worked. He put me on a different prescription. Now I am really confused and I am not sure what I should believe. I really thought I was getting better and that the zithromax would have taken care of it.
Now three weeks later i have a very productive cough and sputum that is either clear, dark yellow, or rusty looking, I do have a sight fever, with extreme body aches and no energy. My cough feels like it is very deep now and for some odd reason i am itching. Anyway so I got the prescription filled and have been taking it for four days now and i do not feel better, if anything i feel worse and now my nose is running nonstop.

My partner and I are experiencing symptoms that began about the same time 5/29 - she has conjunctivitis that has at this point spread to both eyes although being prescribed antibiotic eyedrops. About the same time I developed an itching sensation that eventually progressed and became painful and small clear discharge. Also I have some swelling and redness at the tip of the penis. Went to the STD clinic on 6/4, was sampled and diagnosed with NGU.
You will end up (if the infection is bacterial) with an infection resistant to antibiotics. See a physician for a proper prescription and antibiotic. Many physician choose zithromax (the Z-pak) as the broad-spectrum antibiotic of choice for a lung infection.
t want to answer this one on moral grounds but I must ask... I have access to Zithromax without prescription. If I mix it into a glass of red wine will it be effective?
I'm probably being paranoid but this is consuming me. I need to know the likelihood of me having chlamydia in the first place and then the likelihood of me passing it on based on the circumstances described.

Each time we were unprotected. Hi I am currently three days on Zithromax (treating chlamydia) and I have a light sometimes darker Orange discharge with strings of blood in them when I wipe. The consistency is stretchy and I’m pretty worried. Me and my partner (also taken Zithromax one day oral medicine) haven’t had sex since our treatment (same day), as told to wait seven days. Could it be the antibiotics fighting the infection?
