My husband has had pink eye for over a week now. He was given both antibiotic drops and antibiotic tablets, but they never went away. So, we're suspecting that it's viral conjunctivitis. His left eye, which is the most infectected-looking just keeps having watery discharge. Just tonight, I noticed a reddish spot on his pillow, and realized that it was blood. It looked like it was blood mixed with the watery discharge. He's not complaining of pain or blurry vision.

4 days later My wife and I took 1g of zithro each and now it is 7 days after the zithro and I have pink eye but my burning pee is gone and no urethra pain. I also got tested 4 days after the zithro for chlamydia/gonorrhea and both came back negative. The pinkeye started 3 days ago which was 4 days into the Zithromax. I never hat a cut like embrasion on my penis so I'm not worried about herpes but I would like to know if I can have sex without giving anything to anyone?

Do a search for chronic urethral discharge, redness of eyes and you will likely get Reiter's Syndrome, which can be caused by chlamydia. I have similar issues to what you are describing. Zithromax and Rocepin have gotten rid of the 'pink eye' as you are calling it, for the most part. My urethral discharge goes away for a couple or three days and then returns. I have a lot of shooting pains in my joints, which also is a symptom. Doxy does not help me with this at all.

s every possibility that you may have another and I feel that I have an abnormal discharge at the min but my doctor refuses to do anything for me until 6 weeks after completing the Zithromax. They won't even give me an internal examination to look for any signs of infection and I feel that even if they couldn't take swabs because of me recently taking antibiotics they could have at least done this but they won't look near me and I'm getting very stressed over the whole thing!

I am only 27years and old and have been on Levaquin for two weeks now without much change. The external urethral meatus is also slightly discolored. I have been experiencing pink eye since Sunday, not the regular pink eye...there is no discharge from the eye, the left eye, where all the problem is, gets really pink and my vision gets cloudy, especially when my pain starts. I can say that years ago, I knew somebody who had pink eye. At the time I was making colloidal silver, which is antimicrobial. She asked for some to try, and she was cleared up quickly. I can't say I'm recommending that, I'm just relating the story. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck.

thats what I do everytime my eye flares up, well the eye liner, I just sharpen down, and I use new brushes for the eye shadow, just incase the bacteria got into the make up...to prevent further contamination.

Just drops that do not effect baby. No worries. Worked my way through college for an eye Dr (my dad) lol. Depending on how bad it is could clear up in a few days to a few weeks. It's highly contagious so always wash your hands and try not to touch your face.
