After a few days however my testicles ached after i drank a large amount of liqour. I took another zithromax dosage and this time 1g on the first day and 500mg for another two days. I also took doxy 100mg. bid for two weeks but my testicles still hurt. Was the treatment enough or a failure?
Also my wife whom i had sex during the supposed incubation period also took 1g of zithromax and 5 days of 100mg. doxy bid.
In England we only give a single gram of zithromax for chlamydia as that is considered more thsan enough to kill the offending organism. 2 grams is really overkill in my opinion and it is more likely to give you antibiotic side effects such as diarrhoea. I would definately say that if it is chlamydia you are treating, 1 gram is enough and certainly taking it over two days would be fine.
I have had a painless red rash on the underside of my penis for two months. I used to have whitish liquidy discharge and pain in my urethra. After a course of zithromax, I no longer discharge but a light tingling sensation remains and the rash still remains. The rash fades when I take antimicrobial substances like coconut oil and olive leaf extract, but it never goes away completely. All of my tests for stds have come back negative. Is there any idea what this could be and how to cure it?
Hello, a few times a year, I get swollen lymph glands under the jaw, and at the same time a sore throat and a high fever. My doctor prescribed me Zithromax and I was told to take it every time I have the same symptoms (500mg dose daily for three days).
I have the same symptoms now and it is very painful, however I did have unprotected sex three days ago with someone who has apparently had unprotected sex themselves many times and never been tested.
gave me 10 day 2 dosage of doxycycline just in case. Swab test for chlamydia was positive and I finished remainder of antiobiotics. Since then I have still felt a mild discomfort (especially after prolonged sitting). I went back in Mid Oct to get HIV test & swab test again. Negative result for chlamydia,HIV, and the dr. even examined my clear fluid under microscope for trich. Dr. gave me 1 dosage of antiobiotic (methadizole however you spell it) just in case for trich infection.
So I am taking prednisone a steroid for 13 days, and zithromax a one time dosage today, and robitussin DM for cough and chest congestion.
The doc actually acidentally popped my ear drum today too, it sucked. He was sticking the instrament(sp) that looks inside the ears, and the ear drum was sooooo swollen it popped. So I had blood and puss running out of my ear for a while, until he flushed it out, so im now completely but temporarily deaf in my right ear lol.

I was with someone exposed to both. I am taking one dose of 1.5g of zithromax to stop or cure myself from catcing of having either one. Will this work and or do the job?
s name due to privacy, they did say that no one has tested positive for hiv in that certain club. so i became paranoid and self prescribed myself with 2g of zithromax for other STD. the following week i took again 2g of zithromax to be sure. when i git back here in california i took a full std test including hiv antibody blood test at 5 weeks seince exposure which all came back negative.
Both heterosexual, married, monogomous for the last 5-6 years. She has 2 kids, me, 3. I am male. Received about 30-45 seconds of oral from her. Gave her about 30 seconds of oral. Unprotected penile/vaginal intercourse for less than 5 minutes total...no ejaculation. I took a 500 mg of a z-pack that day and followed it with 1.25 gms of zithromax the following day. One other possibility meds given to children with ADHD can have side effects like aggression and violence, so I would speak to the doctor and ask about the meds and dosage
based on fact it recurred twice having taken 1g Zithromax but on 3rd attempt of 1g Zithromax it went away for 4years? I.e If it was MG in first instance it appeared to be resistant to first two doses of 1g Zithromax so it would't have gone away on the third dose.
4) Could it be herpes? I have no symptoms. Should I get a type specific HSV test? Would it give a definitive answer for herpes?
5) My regular partner was checked before for Chlym & Gono. Nothing found.

Oktober: my wife was treated with azithromycine sandoz 1g and 500 mg the next day because she had her wisdom teeth removed. i took doxycycline 100 mg a day for 5 days and also 1,5 g zithromax on day 6. My wufe and i had sex after 7 days that i took the doxy and she the azithromycine.

t yet developed the infection, as would be indicated by the presence of a lesion or a positive blood test, than it takes for curative treatment. The augmentin taken twice daily for two weeks would certainly cure and prevent development of syphilis. The combination of cefixime and azithromycin would most probably prevent infection but it would not be curative if the infection was established.
This could be a result of the chlamydia, but it may be worth a call to your doctor. How are you taking the zithromax? You should have taken 1000 mgs at one time for it to be effective. It doesn't sound like that's what you're doing?

Did your doctor know that you were pregnant when prescribing this medication? Zithromax is FDA pregnancy category B. Zithromax is not expected to be harmful to an unborn baby (but it doesn't mean it's 100% safe). If you were that sick and your doctor knew you were pregnant he/she must have felt it was worth the slight risk.
I got tested and was given 1 gram of zithromax and 7 days of levaquin. That was on monday night i was treated and then that saturday morning I had unprotected sex with an uninfected partner. Is it possible I could have infected the partner? They told me the zithromax would wipe it out right away but it seems from reading these forums that that could not be the case. I have been active since iwth the same person and now I feel I might have been infected agian.
