zithromax antibiotic

My eight year old is allergic to amoxicillin, zithromax, clindamycin, and cefzil. We have seen an allergist, and he said there are no tests for antibiotics and that "we have a problem." Can someone please guide me in what to do next? My doctor was hoping the allergist would help guide us for future treatments. I am fearful for any infection like strep throat, ear or skin infections, we have run out of options.

I think he/she should have probably went in the direction of a broad-spectrum antibiotic, i.e. Amoxicillin vs. Zithromax. I have seen Zithromax ordered for Strep Throat, but not that often.

I was given zithromax pills to cure an infection, the pills were to big for me to swallow so I let them dissolve in a little water, then drunk them. Will they have the same effect even though I did not swallow them whole????

Not an answer buts that 1gram dose of Zithromax taken at once by a 100 lb 35 year old female.

I had ureaplasma from my partner, and it gave me the most annoying symptoms ever! So we got both treated with an antibiotic, I forgot the name) for 2 weeks, and my symptoms were gone. A month later, I was reinfected because of the menstrual cup. This time my doctor gave me zithromax, 4 tablets for one day. My partner insisted on having sex on the third day, and apparently he got infected and passed it on to me a week later. Should We take zithromax again?

Hi all , ok here is my concern , I had an unprotected encounter with a girl woke up the next day and took 1g gram of zithromax ,as for the fear of catching nsu or Chlamydia, 9 days later i booked my self in for a full screening , and all my tests came back negitive , my worry is would me taking zithromax 9 days before the test effect the gonorrhea result , so in short for your infomation I took 1g of zithromax the morning after the encounter 9 days later i went to the Drs to be tested would

is it safe to take Zithromax? i have a double ear infection and a bad cold and the ER prescribed it for me.

so, is this tinnitus or some other temporary ear sound? also, is this caused by antibiotics? i m right now taking penicillin-like antibiotic for 10 days... on my 7th day today....what should i do? what do u think?

I was just going to say that I am pregnant and am allergic to more than one antibiotic and zithromax or azithromycin ( the generic) is what they give me instead. It is an erythromycin based antibiotic which is like they said before category B and as safe as you get in medicines. Nothing is rated A. I work in a pharmacy. Relax!

So after some research I figured out that the treatement for syphilis is 2g of zithromax... I initially found that very odd and feel that this may cause me to overdose!!
