Zithromax and wine

Common Questions and Answers about Zithromax and wine

zithromax

I was so terrified of this medication because I've heard it can cause heart palpitations and ventricular arrhythmias I didn't even take it until the illness got so bad I almost couldn't get out of bed. Well, I finally broke down and took it because I am so sick and am on day 2 and am having real scary palpitations. My doctor assured me this would not happen. Anyone else have this with Zithromax? Am I dying? I am terrified to death - I hate this so much!
Company doctor mentioned LSE and maybe ANA test profile.
I am not a heavy drinker of alcohol (but did drink a half snifter of cognac every night to stop keeping my wife awake with my coughing when I had pertussis). Normally my wife and I share a bottle of wine with dinner and that is all the alcohol we normally drink. I had Bornholms disease (coxsackie virus) about 25 years ago. Finally I am stone deaf in my left ear - due apparently to mumps when I was about 18 months old. ENT specialist said it is nerve deafness.
So, I hope I'm talking about the same stuff y'all are talking about. I like the idea of sitz baths and wine so far and plan to draw myself a bath and pour a little vino even though it's not even noon yet. Let me know what you girls think about this. Let's keep in touch. I feel better just knowing y'all are out there.
I finished my 5 days of Zithromax yesterday and it's helped, the pain is gone and I have some energy back, but this doesn't feel like a permanent fix. There's too many other symptoms that it didn't address at all. I went to my GP on Monday and he's just no help. He suggested nasal rinses which I already do, and even gave me a prescription for saline solution! What doctor thinks saline solution needs a script?!
For the last 6 months I have been getting tearing (look like paper cuts) in my vaginal area (1/4 to 1/2 inch long). I get the tears at least once or twice a week and they last from 2-4 days, go away for a few days and then come back. They continue to occur in the same locations; 1. Inside the vaginal lips on the sides almost always in the crease (between the labia minora and majora?) 2. Between the anus and vaginal opening (perineum) 3. Above the clitoris in the "hood" area.
The downside with the flagyl is if you enjoy a glass of wine here and there you're out of luck, you absolutely CANNOT drink alcohol with this medication (something to do with the way it effects the way your liver processes alcohol, according to my dr.) I'm a fan of beer myself, but if this could help me get better, I'm willing to to do it.
Elevated heart rate, increased blood pressure, increased peripheral vascular resistance all make for increased risk of heart valve damage and heart attack/failure and stroke. It makes your heart have to work so much harder than it should. If you are taking it for appetite suppression/weight-loss then there are better alternative drugs on the market. Ask your doctor. As for interactions with zithromax, there are no known reactions with this med.
He then instructed me to stop taking the Doxycycline and prescribed me Zithromax 2 x 500 mg for 2 days. The day after I took my first dose of the Zithromax I could already feel relief from my painful symptoms. My urethra felt like it wasn't as swollen as much, the burning sensation when urinating wasn't as painful, the clear discharge went away.
I'm female and have had burning and general discomfort during urination for around two and a half months. I thought I had a UTI or a yeast infection, both of which I get pretty frequently. My gp did a pelvic exam, tested for STDs, and did a urinalysis. All of this came back negative, but she gave me a course of antiobiotics (bactrim) and yeast medicine just in case. These didn't work, so she sent me to a urologist. He did another pelvic and looked at my urethra and said everything looked normal.
i only transfered 1 five day blast and im 11weeks preggo! i had some mild cramps about 4 day after the transfer and i started doing hpt at 5 dp transfer. it was + and got darker every day! how many days past transfer are you and are you going to test with htp? i could not stand it. a girl that i met at my clinic and she did the same as me on the same days as me did not test + till 2 days before beta. let me know.
It gave me unclear thoughts, I couldn't drive due to a foggy mind, it made my heart race and skip , i actually had to go to the ER because i thought I would die. Now it is 2 and a half weeks later and i am still nauseated and have the confusion on and off also my PVC's are worse than ever . Is this normal with this drug? has my benign PVCs and PAC'c turned into a life threatening Arrhythmia ?
It continued for 2 days aos i went to doctor she said my throat was red and precribed Zithromax pack. Still I felt itchy so she asked me to take Zirtec. after taking it i did not feel itchy. After 3 days of taking ti I stopped it and after two three days again I feel itchy. When I scratch i get red lines immediatley after I sscratch and in a minute or two it disappears. I scrached on my hand, chest, shoulders where i did not get itchy, i get the red lines from the scratch and disappears.
There is no reason whatsoever for you to have avoided sex with your wife all this time, and no reason not to start again now. Go buy her a bouquet, light the candles, and get out the wine. And see a mental health professional to assess the possibility of an emotional component to your symptoms. I suggest it out of compassion, not criticism.
however, about a day after I finished them the burning returned still with no sores. I went back to the doctor and he gave me cipro antibiotic and Phenazopyridine. He told me to schedule an appointment with a urologist as he did not see anything indicating a UTI and he had already treated me for gon/chlam. I just finished the antibiotics and I remain on the Phena pills, the burning occurs more when my bladder is full and sometimes more when I am sitting.
Hope you fellow 'tubbies' are feeling fine, enjoying the wine, and having fun. Best wishes and hugs to all....Helmar...*from across the miles*....
I am posting this same e-mail on all of my "watched posts," Because my problem is solved and I want to "pay it forward" one last time before I remove my name from this forum. There seems to be more than one thing happening. I am writing to those women who: have a reoccurring rip-type fissures on the inside of the labia, between the labia and clitoris, along the natural fold. (Mine was always in the same spot. -Note my earlier posts.
God works in mysterious ways. Before this I had to wine and dine. I meet a girl who can't keep her hands off me, and I can't do anything.
Hi Jackie, I had to slow down on the supplements, but now I am back to fatigue again and today I started my zithromax and doxy combo. The energy booster supplements are called Opti-factor and they are a pill form, and the other is water drops,, 5 squirts in a drink (no taste), I can't remember the name right now, when I look at it again I will let you know. I can't beleive how you can go from one extreme to another. I feel like I am on a rollercoaster.
Blood and urine samples were taken for HIV GON CLAM (no HSV test though) and everything came back negative. They even gave me a cycle of Zithromax in case of bacteria. 30 Sept. went to GP Dr. and was told that skin looked normal and that it was all in my head. He didn't want to give me a herpes test because he said it may have a false positive. I've tried to tell myself that these symptoms are all in my head but the itching and burning continues but not as intense.
It works incredibly well with bacterial and viral infections, and some but not all fungal infections. The Flip-Turn is the original, and still the best Sinus Flush. WARNING! DISCLAIMER! The technique in this manual involves bending over in a hot shower. Obviously, if you bend over in a shower, there is a slight possibility that you can get dizzy and fall down. You could possibly hit your head, get knocked out, or break something.
I would drink several cups of coffee during the day, play serious Basketball 3 times a week, then drink a few glasses of wine a night and not notice anything odd with my heart rythem. Now, I cut all that out and I feel these funky PVC's...
There is a thread about this and I have read it...but its closed and most of the posts are very old. I need to know if anybody has ever found a reason or a doctor that knows what the hell they are talking about regarding this. I first noticed a papercut on my labia about 3 years ago. I freaked out and thought it was herpes. I had my then boyfriend look at it and take a picture...
I had one glass of wine (not unusual for me), soybeans and some popcorn, became extremely nauseous, dizzy, projectile vomited everywhere, and thought I would just go to be and feel better in the morning. I woke up just the same in the morning, with the addition of the worst headache of my life. I had anomia, aphasia, vertigo, extreme trouble concentrating, and problem solving, extreme dizziness and nausea.
I already live a low carb lifestyle, but did use sugar substitutes, cheese and wine. I have cut all of those out since having that horrible flare or die off or whatever it is.
I was also constantly lightheaded/dizzy, and had some weird symptoms like hair loss and slight weakness in the left side of my body. I also had a lot of gas and bloating and would belch all the time. I had heart palpitations and anxiety, and headaches a few times a month. Finally, I started noticing that I had to eat at least every two hours or I would get really lightheaded, and because I was nauseous a lot I had to force myself to eat.
I haven't had a boyfriend since and about midway through last year bought a vibrator. On and off the same thing is occuring. Small fissures that bleed. I have some slight (usually very slight) itching before my period and during and have been tested for all stds.
I have been dealing with vaginal burning and redness for 2-3 months now. The only time I find minor relief is during the week of my period and about a week thereafter. Otherwise, the levels of discomfort vary but I never feel as though the pain is ever truly gone. I'm sure my stress doesn't make it any easier... But on to my question - Last night, a tear opened in my vaginal area. It is located under my pubic hair at the top of my outer vaginal lips.
I haven't gone this long without a flare up in 15 years and I'm sticking with Cetaphil unless I have a problem again, and then might see a dermatologist again (I have moved states.) Perhaps this might help you. It's a terrible thing to have and I wish you well. After those of us who have it go through so much to find out what the problem is, I thought it would be quite interesting if it just turned out to be a very sensitive soap reaction!
i cant answer whether or not you are tearing in the vaginal area. where is the blood coming from? on the outside, or from inside? if he's being really rough and you are "small" that may cause a little blood. however, if its a lot and often, you should see a dr.
