You should not be taking zithromax for six weeks. Antibiotics are toxic, and should not be used unless there is an actual infection. Prescribing zithromax for six weeks, withiout evidence of an actualo bacterial infection, on the remote chance it might cure asthma represents questionable reasoning. There was a recent death from excessive use of zithromax. There is a reason they are prescribed in a packet with only so many capsules.

It says on my packet not to have any dairy products for 2 hours after taking the medication. I looked it up and dairy products inhibit the workings of the thyroxine medication. have others been told this?

i was treated for chlamydia a week ago, give zithromax, still waiting for the test. but 3 days later my right testicle was sore, a week later i was getting clear sticky penile discharge after urination, but more so after a bowel movement. there is not a lot, and it looks like precum i'm worried the zithromax didn't work and i still have something. can i take pills too soon after sex? i took them the day after intercourse do yu think it could be a prostate problem?

I initially received a shot and pills for suspected gonorrhea, the results came back and all tests were negative except for a UTI. I was given initially ,zithromax, doxycycline and flagyl , took all those. Still with a discharge and given a second dose of zithromax. t seem to have problems with doxycycline, amoxicillin or clindamycin. Clindamycin destroys my stomach though. I avoid cipro and zithromax.

Yes, I would not worry about sex. You do not know that you were infected and even if you were, you took effective therapy.

I got the result when I arrived- and I tested positive. So I went to local doctor in Italy and he prescribed 500mg Zithromax (12 tablets) and said take one a day for 12 days... that seems a lot. I took one yesterday and one today... not sure what to do now! Most sites say 1000mg is enough!

I was given zithromax pills to cure an infection, the pills were to big for me to swallow so I let them dissolve in a little water, then drunk them. Will they have the same effect even though I did not swallow them whole????

Your original doctor is a good doctor and the doze of zithromax you took was a pre-caution, and it took care of any bacteria that the tests may have been missed. "So what an i do now?" Though this is an STD forum and does not cover HIV issues.
