Hi all. I am currently taking ziprasidone along with lamictil and topamax and Lexapro as well as an occasional Ativan. I have been taking 80mg ziprasidone-geodon- twice a day for almost three years now. It has made me gain almost 200 pounds! I need to get off of it but Everytime I do I start the withdrawal. Has anybody else been on geodon this long and gained so much weight? I even exercise and can't get it off.
(have been on said meds for about 5 years). her 2 suggestions are abilify and ziprasidone--i know nothing about either of these meds and would greatly appreciate any info. and input you may have. (i have until friday to research these meds and want to be as informed as possible) thank you very much in advance for your time.
It also slightly increases the QTc interval in some patients and increases the risk of a potentially lethal type of heart arrythmia known as torsades de pointes. Ziprasidone should be used cautiously in patients taking other medications likely to interact with ziprasidone or increase the QTc interval.
Hi. I'm bipolar with psychosis and am currently tapering off of ziprasidone 80mg twice daily. I totally dropped my second dose along with lamotrigine,and Lexapro. So right now I am currently taking ziprasidone 80 mg, chantix 1mg, topamax 50mg 3x day, and ropinirole for side effects 1 mg once a day. I can't believe I actually made it through the night last night.

A friend of mind took 1200 mg of ziprasidone should I be worried? I don't think it is correct. Please let me know, I have been looking but can't find anything on that amount. She needs help, she is not in a good place right now.
s interesting that you mention this because it was never connected in my case. I had a lot of problems sleeping but related it to my new job. They've cut my dose down and now I'm not having so many problems.
I did a lot better when I was on risperdal but it made me put on weight.
Besides Clonazepan, Solof, Lorazepan, Divalproex, Citalopran, Donepezil,Divalproex, Enalapril, Carb/Levo tab she started taking Ziprasidone four weeks ago.Please tell me if she should stop taking some of those medications.
t allow me to receive more than a 6 months supply before I leave for a year in Spain. They said to have someone in the US pick up the refills and mail them to me in Spain. But I've heard horror stories about Customs in Spain holding onto packages for weeks. Does anyone get a funny feeling in there head sometimes that feels like when you get the chills. I think its either from the xanax for maybe anxiety or panic trying to come thru. It does not happen often. My friend said she takes zoloft and gets its sometimes too. It bothers me because I don't know if its normal from the xanax or from feeling chilled sometimes.
It may be my wishdom teeth comeing in. I ask a friend if they had any kind of pain pills for it. They gave me Depakote Er divalproex sodium 500mg and also Geodon ziprasidone HC 40mg for the pain they told me it would help me out for the pain I was going throw. I started looking the pills up on the internet and found out they where used for people with Bipolar issue.

just check all studies on cancer and gcmaf since there is a 100% cure rate on the small human trials made in the 90, this was for early stage 1 and 2 tumors of any type/organ.on terminal cancers stage 4 the success rate is less but there are some on gcmaf.

ve heard from some people within my therapy group that bi polar 2 cycle more often and have more depression than mania/ hypomania which can be a big risk factor for suicide as a group member died a couple weeks ago .
