Hi all. I am currently taking ziprasidone along with lamictil and topamax and Lexapro as well as an occasional Ativan. I have been taking 80mg ziprasidone-geodon- twice a day for almost three years now. It has made me gain almost 200 pounds! I need to get off of it but Everytime I do I start the withdrawal. Has anybody else been on geodon this long and gained so much weight? I even exercise and can't get it off.
(have been on said meds for about 5 years). her 2 suggestions are abilify and ziprasidone--i know nothing about either of these meds and would greatly appreciate any info. and input you may have. (i have until friday to research these meds and want to be as informed as possible) thank you very much in advance for your time.
Hi. I'm bipolar with psychosis and am currently tapering off of ziprasidone 80mg twice daily. I totally dropped my second dose along with lamotrigine,and Lexapro. So right now I am currently taking ziprasidone 80 mg, chantix 1mg, topamax 50mg 3x day, and ropinirole for side effects 1 mg once a day. I can't believe I actually made it through the night last night.
It also slightly increases the QTc interval in some patients and increases the risk of a potentially lethal type of heart arrythmia known as torsades de pointes. Ziprasidone should be used cautiously in patients taking other medications likely to interact with ziprasidone or increase the QTc interval.
She is currently taking Cymbalta, Lamotrigine, Seroquel and Ziprasidone. She has been depressed for a few years but it suddenly got worse since she started to take ziprasidone. She has been taking it for about 2 weeks now. She informed us that she is hearing voices telling her to harm herself. To get off oxys. I have been dosing myself for about 5 monthes very accuratley. I am down to 20mg, and got a SURPRISE CHANCE to go to Europe for a month!! I have 3 weeks! I need help on what I should do...AND any success stories on quiting low dosage methadone..

A friend of mind took 1200 mg of ziprasidone should I be worried? I don't think it is correct. Please let me know, I have been looking but can't find anything on that amount. She needs help, she is not in a good place right now.
Besides Clonazepan, Solof, Lorazepan, Divalproex, Citalopran, Donepezil,Divalproex, Enalapril, Carb/Levo tab she started taking Ziprasidone four weeks ago.Please tell me if she should stop taking some of those medications.
The Symptoms for the over production of HCL, and the under production of HCL, are virtually identical. The both cause Reflux, Belching, Bloating, Abdominal Discomfort, Irrecular Stools, etc. Unfortunately many doctors are prescribing Proton Pump Inhibitors or pH Blocking Medications to their Patiens which is making them Achlorhydric.
I am a 32 year old female. Currently on lexapro 20mg for anxiety. Beem on it for years. For the past few months i have been having hand tremors in both hands. Its not severe but if im holding something it shakes. Also just yesterday my left side of my face felt numb then i had twitching just below my lip. I also have some pressure in mg cheeks. Apple cider vinegar is a way to cleanse the body and balance acid and alkaline, but it doesn't increase stomach acid on a permanent basis. Betaine HCL is used for gallstones, not for stomach acidity, since it doesn't do that either. The reason is that neither stays in the stomach, so it can't permanently alter the acid/alkaline balance. i just found out that i am pregnant but when i went to the doctor he had exam me and he say im 7 weeks pregnant but since i dont know my last menstrual cycle he had me go for a sonogram they could not see anything . so he did a blood test for my hcl level and it came back 1080 now he wants me to go for another sonogram tmrw . is there something wrong please help ..
Have a bad headache and no pain meds at home. Have a little of the Buprenorphine hcl left from when my cat was neutered. It was given to him orally at a dose of 0.3cc. I looked it up and it looks like a "human" drug also, but am wondering if I am able to take this.

About a month ago I was able to lower my self off of paliperidone and onto ziprasidone which is the same category of drug as paliperidone but studies have shown that out of all antipsychotics ziprasidone had the least amount of weight gain. So I’ve been on ziprasidone for about a month now and I’m still losing weight while walking. Sometimes after my walks I only accumulate around 100 calories a day. On days that I splurge a bit and take in around 800 calories a day, I gain weight though.
