ziprasidone and anxiety

I'm currently taking zopiclone for sleep been taking them for ten days. Can I just stop taking these? I've been diagnosed with depression and anxiety I'm also currently taking propranolol and fluoxetine.

(have been on said meds for about 5 years). her 2 suggestions are abilify and ziprasidone--i know nothing about either of these meds and would greatly appreciate any info. and input you may have. (i have until friday to research these meds and want to be as informed as possible) thank you very much in advance for your time.

I take 80mg Geodon. It does not cause anxiety for me and does not help my anxiety unless i'm in an up swing to mania. Then it calms that down. Give it some time. If you are that anxious and lost that much weight, I would call your pdoc and see if he can help you out. Sometimes medications can cause a side effect in one person and not someone else. I don't have any problems at all with the medication.

Hi all. I am currently taking ziprasidone along with lamictil and topamax and Lexapro as well as an occasional Ativan. I have been taking 80mg ziprasidone-geodon- twice a day for almost three years now. It has made me gain almost 200 pounds! I need to get off of it but Everytime I do I start the withdrawal. Has anybody else been on geodon this long and gained so much weight? I even exercise and can't get it off.

Hi. I'm bipolar with psychosis and am currently tapering off of ziprasidone 80mg twice daily. I totally dropped my second dose along with lamotrigine,and Lexapro. So right now I am currently taking ziprasidone 80 mg, chantix 1mg, topamax 50mg 3x day, and ropinirole for side effects 1 mg once a day. I can't believe I actually made it through the night last night.

She is currently taking Cymbalta, Lamotrigine, Seroquel and Ziprasidone. She has been depressed for a few years but it suddenly got worse since she started to take ziprasidone. She has been taking it for about 2 weeks now. She informed us that she is hearing voices telling her to harm herself. I was prescribed 1mg of clonezapam to take nightly in the attempt to combat the anxiety. So far no luck and honestly not feeling all that good either. Still getting depressed, serious rumination, hateful self worth. Not good. I know i need to switch, and i think maybe going back to the seroquel may be it. I remember being more stable just hated the weight gain. Ideas? options? new meds?

I take 20 mg of Geodone and Fluoxetine for depression. I forgot to take it one night and didn't sleep at all and later in the day, I began freaking out about my hands. It made no sense, but it brought me to tears because I thought something was wrong with my hands. I started bawling and couldn't stop, I was completely terrified. About a month ago I was able to lower my self off of paliperidone and onto ziprasidone which is the same category of drug as paliperidone but studies have shown that out of all antipsychotics ziprasidone had the least amount of weight gain. So I’ve been on ziprasidone for about a month now and I’m still losing weight while walking. Sometimes after my walks I only accumulate around 100 calories a day. On days that I splurge a bit and take in around 800 calories a day, I gain weight though.

A friend of mind took 1200 mg of ziprasidone should I be worried? I don't think it is correct. Please let me know, I have been looking but can't find anything on that amount. She needs help, she is not in a good place right now.

Any medication can sometimes take a week or two or longer to take full effect while some will take effect instantaneously. It all depends on the person of course. When I took Geodon I sometimes would "drool and stumble" figuratively for the former (felt really dumb some days) and literally for the latter (dragged my feet and sometimes felt drunk).

Besides Clonazepan, Solof, Lorazepan, Divalproex, Citalopran, Donepezil,Divalproex, Enalapril, Carb/Levo tab she started taking Ziprasidone four weeks ago.Please tell me if she should stop taking some of those medications.

Sometimes 3-4 hours a night I sleep. I been taking old sleeping pills off and on with this medicine so I can sleep. I notice sleeping pills causes suicidal thoughts. Have anybody have any sleeping problems with this medicine?

my psychiatrist allowed me to reduce dosage from 20 mg geodon (ziprasidone) and 4 mg perphenazine to zero milligrams geodon and 4 mg perphenazine. i took zero mg geodon and 4 mg perphenazine for just one day and have terrible chills up my back.

They gave me Depakote Er divalproex sodium 500mg and also Geodon ziprasidone HC 40mg for the pain they told me it would help me out for the pain I was going throw. I started looking the pills up on the internet and found out they where used for people with Bipolar issue.

I received my first diagnosis back in 2007 of social anxiety disorder and was later diagnosed with generalized and OCD obsessional type. Throughout this time I also received the diagnosis of major depressive disorder. The most distressing of these, however, were the anxiety disorders. My anxiety used to manifest itself primarily as bodily symptoms - constant heart palpitations, feelings of impending doom. I would experience these things from the minute I woke up til I went to sleep.

However, for myself (not something you have of course) in having schizoaffective disorder I needed an antipsychotic and all of them except for Clozaril (which causes blood dyscreias and needs constant bloodwork and can be dangerous and something I couldn't tolerate) can cause it. I think I would have not been able to recover if I hadn't taken an antipsychotic all these years though I wish they had caught up with the tardive in time before it progressed this far.

This question I asked here long time ago whether there exists an AD that doesn't drive you manic.

All of a suddon im getting anxiety attacks almost always in the morning . Yes I do have an anxiety disorder . I take Lexapro and some times Klonopin at bedtime. Any kind words from whomever has been threw this would be welcome. Oh I have stopped taking any vicodin at all .
