Common Questions and Answers about Zelnorm dosage

zelnorm

Avatar f tn Talk to your doc about it. Check the government site about zelnorm, or the site for the company that makes zelnorm. It should give you more information. The extreme right-sided pain could be due to gallbladder issues. Talk to your doc about it.
Avatar n tn I have IBS and have taken Bentyl and Zelnorm, my doctor took me off the Zelnorm because he said, it was a dangerous drug. Is this true ?
Avatar f tn last thursday I had taken a zelnorm because i had not had a bowel movement in about a week. since I have not stopped using the bathroom, all day and throughout the night, if i eat or drink anything I have to run to the bathroom within minutes and I have pains and bloatiness in my stomache. this has never happened before when I take the medication. I am afraid to leave the house and I have lost 5 lbs. any suggestions?
Avatar f tn ve had IBS with constipation for over 15 years. Before Zelnorm was removed from the market, THATS when the straining REALLY started. My parents & grandparents say I was practically born constipated. So back to my question, is there a chance the strokes came from my bathroom troubles. Any ideas?
1225025 tn?1267101121 I have taken Zelnorm which has been very successful for me, but I have IBS with constipation and then when I haven't gone to the bathroom for a couple of weeks, the diarrhea happens. Have you tried Zelnorm?
Avatar f tn I feel chained to the bathroom and of course never clean. Zelnorm was the beat solution and worked really well but then was taken off the market. What can I do to resolve this ever increasing problem?
Avatar n tn I have recently have been diagnosed with Diabetic enteropathy of the colon and my Gastroenterologist has prescribed Zelnorm for this condition.Has this medication been effective in treating Diabetic enteropathy snd what are the gratest side effects? Thank you.
Avatar f tn This looks like "official" matter. What meds are in question? Colonoscopy showed something? IBS is not a disease at all, and there's no drugs for IBS, as I know (my opinion). Zelnorm was even withdrawn from the (U.S.) market last year, now it might be back again.
Avatar f tn Eryththromyacin is one drug used for it but i am taking Zelnorm a prescription drug. It can have serious effects on me as with the slowed digestion i sometimes go low after eating when i shouldn't. But any GI doctor should be familiar with the disease.
Avatar f tn Treatment includes addition of more fiber in your diet, cessation of smoking and taking stress, antispasmodic medicines, antidiarrheal medicines, antidepressants and new medicines like Alosetron (Lotronex) and Tegaserod (Zelnorm).I would suggest a gastroenterologist’s view on this. Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing and if you have any additional queries.
4762310 tn?1362165935 The same rules apply as with the initial adjustment period, so to be fair, you should give the medication another 4-6 weeks after your dosage was increased. Many times improvements can be seen before that, but to be safe, being that everyone responds differently to medications, 4-6 weeks will ensure you've given it ample time. If after that time, you STILL aren't seeing improvements, then it's definitely time to speak with your doc and reevaluate your regimen.
Avatar f tn please let me know if the dosage i am taking i.e. 1/4 of 20 fluoxetine and 5mg olanzapine combo and 3/4 lorazepam is high or low.
Avatar n tn 83, The doctor has now increase my weekend dosage to 100mcg but I still feel this is not enough. I feel 125mcag along with 100mcg every other day would be more suitable for me. Please advise as I'm concern about about my baby.
Avatar n tn 76) I was feeling a little bit hyper on this dosage. I was nervous, not sleeping , etc. I think that I seem to do better when my TSH is a little higher. I already had 100 mg of Synthroid, so I started taking the 100's, with the knowledge of my doctor, but by day 3, I was crying, emotional, and not feeling good at all. What does this mean? Was the 100 already not enough or should I try maybe alternating the 112 and 100, or does this mean that I need to stay on the 112?
Avatar n tn If the doctor prescribed that dosage, then I would trust him/her. Zoloft is typically prescribed from 50-200mg, so your son is taking a 'normal' dosage in my opinion. I was on Zoloft a couple of years ago and had no major problems coming off of it. Just ensure when it is time to come off the medication work with your doctor and taper down slowly.
Avatar f tn Thyroid disease and what medication/dosage that works to alleviate symptoms is just as individual as you are. Barb's right when she said the healing takes time. I think you are doing the right thing, going up slowly and keeping track of how you feel, but try to relax a little, even though I know that's hard to do when you don't feel well. I wish I'd found this forum years ago, it's been very helpful.
Avatar n tn He put me on Zelnorm and I was free of everything I went to the bathroom easy!! I ate anything I wanted!! They took it off the market ( dahhh I told him that too) And then He left me hanging, started talking about a hernia in my throat. NOT my constipation! Iam doomed here. I was in shape and toned and now Im a blob. Go to a Natural Doctor and get help there. don't take laxatives! All the things I was taking are from a doctors say so!
