922048 tn?1387942584 Believe it or not, I get "junk" mail which includes mailers & newspapers, grocery store adds etc, and there are always coupons in there stuffed between the pages! The last coupon I got was for $5.00 off pregnancy tests! The very first 20 pack of answer OPK's I bought had a coupon inside for my next purchase, and also a $7.00 mail in rebate which I always fill out and send in.
Avatar m tn I have been on them all, but not the ones with Sodium Bicarbonate like Zegerid OTc....I have been looking to find others who are now not responding to meds and what they are doing, I have found that Milk Thistle could possibly be of some help, I'll give it a try...
Avatar f tn I also suffered with acid in my younger years, so bad I went to the hospital for it, so bad I have slept in the tub upright before. Zantac would not touch mine. I take 30 mg prevacid (prescription) every day. After time it goes away. You need something very strong like this.
Avatar f tn If that does not work, try Pepcid, Gaviscon, Prilosec OTC, Omeprazole, Pepto, Zegerid OTC, Equate Acid Relief or Alka-Seltzer. If you do not want to go to the store, try a quick remedy-- baking soda or cold milk. And also, you can use PregEase. It treats morning sickness and heartburn. It is clinically proven a safe choice with natural ingredients, so you do not have to worry about anything harming the little one.
Avatar m tn The best way to prevent it is to not eat foods that cause acid reflux. However there are OTC medicines that can treat/prevent reflux.
709686 tn?1277432159 maybe a little weight loss. Omeprazole (Prilosec or Zegerid) causes me all kinds of problems. Headache, chest pain, red/irritated eyes, all kinds of body aches, constipation and extreme thrist. Problem is...protonix is by script only and VERY EXPENSIVE! Someone talk to me about this. Has anyone else experienced these problems with Omeprazole?
Avatar n tn Has anyone tried Zegerid? So far I have tried Prevacid, Aciphex, Prilosec,Protonix, and Nexium. Aciphex gave me bad side effects and Nexium made my reflux symptoms worse. Prilosec did absolutely nothing for me. I was successfully treated for H. Pylori in Nov 07. Since then I have been suffering from Water Brash and now heartburn. I don't know where to turn. My GI now wants me to take Zegerid(isn't this med just like Prilosec with sodium?).
Avatar f tn Nexium is just fine to take on treatment as is the other PPI's. My hepatologist ordered me Nexium during tx and then led me go to Prilosec or prevacid when the became OTC. And sense i'm now SVR there wasn't a problem with them.........
Avatar f tn You should also take something like Zegerid OTC once a day if you are taking NSAIDs to protect your stomach. Don't cut your activity level, may be changing the type of activity will suffice. Hope this has been helpful.
Avatar f tn Then I became sick with bronchitis and needed to take an antibiotic and had to stop taking the Zegerid for about a week. Upon continuing the Zegerid I have had increasing typical acid reflux symptoms, to the point of waking me up at night. So I called my doc and started taking another Zegerid during the day, and taking Gaviscon before bed... this really hasn't helped. I notice that when I sit for a long period I get a build up of gas in my stomach/intestines, resulting in passing gas.
1530342 tn?1405016490 He says he requested to have the rebate deposited directly into his Chase bank account in Auburn, Wash., but when the IRS rebate arrived, he found out that Chase had closed his account because of overdrawn checks. The bank deducted $600 to cover what he owed and mailed Njoku a cashier's check of $8,463.21 to make up the difference. When Njoku arrived at the bank to cash the Chase check, he says the teller immediately became suspicious.
Avatar f tn I feel as though my breathing has gotten difficult and that I cannot get in enough air. The burning is in my upper abdominal area just below my breastbone. Could this be something else? Possibly an ulcer? It is scaring me that my insides are burning and it does not allow me to sleep well at night. Nonetheless, In June I awoke one morning with severe joint and muscle pain accompanied by swelling.
Avatar n tn I understand about the insurance. Our copay and coverage is so crappy that I won't go anywhere unless I just can't take it anymore. The chest pain is concerning. Where does it hurt? I was having pain in the middle of my chest... not where my heart was. Mine was reflux... in that case. I have also had panic attacks. Those did hurt higher, and I seriously thought I was going to have a heart attack or was having them.
220090 tn?1379167187 "The federal government is sending each of us a $600 rebate. If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the money goes to China. If we spend it on gasoline it goes to the Arabs. If we buy a computer it will go to India. If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala. If we purchase a good car it will go to Germany. If we purchase useless **** it will go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy.
Avatar m tn probably i got it driving a bad car for over three days in heavy traffic...bumper to bumper ..each day driving close to 5 - 6 hours...
Avatar f tn i have been that i might have gerd and was put on zegerid ro see it if works.is that what you would have done?
Avatar n tn t understand what triggers esophageal spasms. It could be mis-firing nerves, it could be changes in blood flow, it could be due to changes in neurotransmitter output of either acetylcholine or nitric oxide, but the fact is that no one has an answer. What is known is that the spasms seem to occur more often in those with GERD. The suggests that whatever is going on seems to be related to the damage that is happening during the disease process.
5065378 tn?1381121570 I just got a package of free baby formula samples in the mail. I don't know how I feel about. Kinda freaks me out.. I don't think ill be giving it to my baby.
Avatar f tn Is it save to use a vaginal estrogen insert? I am only 48 years old and married. We have tried everything OTC. This is difficult for me and for my husband. My doctor said he does not know if it is safe or not????? Thank You.
572651 tn?1530999357 A followup to this thread - last week while waiting to see my urogyno, the Pfizer rep came in and we started talking about these rebate/assistance programs. I asked her why they have become so prevalent in the last year or so. According to her, the drug mfgs. have always rebated this money out of their profits, but they gave it to the insurance companies, with the intent it would help to contain costs for the insured patient.
