Zantac zoloft

Common Questions and Answers about Zantac zoloft

zantac

Of course, the doctor said it was just anxiety and we could keep doing what we were doing and eventually she would get over it or we could put her on a low dose of Zoloft to help her get through the first month or so. We decided to do the Zoloft a lot for our own peace of mind and family stress from all of this but also to save her the embarrasment and stress. We decided maybe she just can't stop and the harder she tries the more it backfires.
I think I am going to switch from Zoloft to Celexa. I am going to my doctor this week to ask about it. I KNOW that we all are different & every medicine will affect us on a different level, but is there a difference between the two? I hope I don't have the same side effects I had on Zoloft.
Just to make sure we're on the same page, are you sure it was "Zantac" you were perscribed? Zantac is used to control excessive stomach acid. Did you mean "Xanax?" Xanax is an antianxiety medication, but has no affinity for depression. If you could just clear that up for us, we can hopefully get you some answers.
They thought maybe it was her nerves and put her on zoloft, which i am glad to say was no help, (didnt want her on zoloft). And now they have her on zantac teice a day and hyoscyamine every 6 hours as needed. She is too young to have to go through this and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas that i could run by her doctor is stumped.
i will also get the same burning or flushed sensation after i eat or when im hungry.Dr said acid reflux and anxiety.I worry constantly also. She gave me zoloft and zantac 150 zantac doesnt seem to help much.Has anyone else had trhis problem and what did you do for it.
Just came off of 50 mg of Zoloft for panic attacks, approx. 1 month ago. Zantac 150 as needed. Struggling with difficulty breathing, which leads to panic attack, which leads to reflux or some version of this chain of events. Questions: Why am I regurgitating / coughing up phlem everytime the weather gets cold? Why am I regurgitating every single day? Should I look at going back on the Zoloft as the anxiety has become 10x worse since I got off?
she put me on zoloft and zantac 150. Stomach didnt act up for 3 days but now its back.when I get nervous it comes on and then it makes me more nervous. Can anxiety really cause this.
Hi, im 30 years old and sometimes i will either have a hard thump or a flip flop type feeling in my chest and right at the same time this is happening i will experience intense dissyness /lightheadness, i am over weight, ive cut down on caffeine alot i do use tobbacco, the dip kind, im taking zoloft-10 yrs, metoprolol-5yrs, zantac-150mg-1yr,androgel-5mg-3months, the doctors say ive got Premature Ventricular Contractions, but they cant answer why i get dizzy when they happen if anyone can help me
I currently take 20mg of omeprazole in the morning and 300mg of Zantac before bed. However it doesn't seem to be doing the job. I have so much chest issues that it concerns me about cardiovascular issues. I had a stress test about 7 years ago when the heartburn/chest pains first started and it came back fine. My question is should I repeat the stress test to rule out the cardiovascular stuff or I'm is a 7 year old stress test sufficient. Am I being overly paranoid.
im 30 years old and ive been battling acid reflux, heart arrythmias, panic attacks, anxiety attacks and low testosterone for more than ten years and it *****. right now im taking zoloft, metoprolol, zantac and androgel, so let me tell u from experience your definately suffering from panic attacks, and worrying about it every time it happens only makes it worse, or feeling like your going to die those combinations just intensify panic attacks by 100 times, anyway i hope this helps, good luck.
Dr said anxiety and acid reflux gave me zoloft and zantac 150. worked for a few days but now comes back when i worry which then makes me worry more.Does this make since to anyone? I feel like I am going crazy.
Sounds strange to me - I was on Entecort (budesonide in the UK) for about 6 months about 10 yrs ago for Crohn's. It only works on the small intestine I was told by my gastro. However, it didn't prevent a flare, so I was switched to methotrexate (12.5 mg by self injection weekly) and am doing fine. You do need to have regular blood tests when taking mtx - at first they were weekly, then 2 weekly, now monthly.
They only did a TSH test which came back normal 2.15 (0.34-5.60) They put me on zoloft, and zantac for acid reflux and are referring me to a cardiologist. Well the zoloft made my anxiety worse, I had to quit taking it. I have taking zoloft before and it worked great, so I don't understand that! When I went back to Dr. for follow up I told her about everything and she put me on a beta blocker propanolol for heartrate and did more labs to see if I am magnesium deficient.
After two weeks, I wasn't really feeling much better, so he added Zantac in the evening. I also decided to alter my diet - I removed all dairy, caffeine, chocolate, tomato products, citrus, alcohol etc. I also had a CBC panel run (normal except for elevated eosinophils) and tested negative for H. pylori. Since beginning the medication (and changing my diet), I've had some changes in my bowel habits.
So I wouldn't be surprised if many of these effect are indeed coming from your steroid use. BUT hopefully, the end is in near sight.......My doc. puts me on zantac when I need to be on steroids, and quite honestly, some very low doses of zoloft have helped me too. But the BEST thing I did for coping was see a counselor. She's not a psychologist or psychiatrist, but it's a place for me to just "TALK" and it's been great. Best of luck! Keep us posted.
I'm on Buspar, Zoloft, Zantac, Birth Control, and Vitamin D. I am supposed to take the Buspar 1 1/2 a day, and the Zoloft 1 a day. But when I do take them they make me so sick i can't get out of bed because I feel sick and dizzy. I have tried everything I could think of to prevent this. I asked my nursing teacher and my medical clinics teachers what they think might help. My question is, do you think I need them BOTH?
The medical term for metallic taste is dysgeusia, which refers to a sour and acidic or metallic taste in mouth. It might be related to oral hygiene like dental carries or gingivitis. But since you mentioned the word ''I was at work'' I am curious to know where are you working since metalic taste in mouth can indicates a lead or copper poisoning ( i doubt it can be the case since i think it's more related to your medications, but if you are an industrial worker you might check this issue ).
At first, everyone chalked it up to reflux, but I have had hearburn and indigestion in the past and I knew that this wasnt it. After about 8 weeks of reglan, prilosec, and zantac I had the endoscopy and found that everything was normal. The doctor put me on Zoloft because they now say it is anxiety. Ive been on it for a few weeks and it seems to be helping somewhat. He said that it would get me balanced and ween me off of it after 6 or 8 months.
B vaccine, Viagra, Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Celexa, Serzone, Lexpro, Effexorxir, Wellbutrin S/R and many other prescription drugs. Amoxicillin will raise the viral load millions of points with as few as three pills The anti depressants raise the viral load slowly over time with a steady move upward. The Hepatitis A & B vaccine will raise the viral load millions of points and it will take 9 months to two years before it starts to come back down.
Ask your physician if taking something like Prilosec would help you or a Zantac an hour before ingestion. In my opinion a consult with a PMP could provide you with more answers and better pain control. What do you have to lose at this point? Please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.
I also have had some acid reflux that occurs if I don't eat or if I eat certain foods (such as tomatoes) but its been manageable with zantac. But back to my current symptoms. So about a week ago my stomach ballooned to the size of a five month pregnant woman! It is not hard bloating, its soft to the touch but very tender and warm and does hurt if someone presses on it hard enough.
Hey everyone. Several of you helped me a lot when I first started taking Zoloft for my anxiety! I'm now on 75 mg and am doing fairly well. I was still having some morning and late afternoon anxiety so my doctor said we could up me from 50 mg. The only side effects I seem to be having are 1. jaw pain...I find that I am clenching my teeth a lot during the day. The only way I don't clench them is if I take a half pill of Ativan. My jaws feel so tight sometimes when I open my mouth.
Posted By rico on June 02, 1999 at 13:31:58 Drop the Zantac and the Zoloft first of all! This would be my choice for your symptoms: Prevacid - 30mg in morning on empty stomach Ativan (or Xanax/Klonopin) - 1mg 2x daily and 2mg at bedtime Carafate - 1gram at bedtime (may or may not be needed if the above improve the condition) And don't eat anything at least 4-5 hours before lying down to bed.
She prescribed me Ranitidine (which is Zantac that you can buy from the store) and I took this twice a day for three weeks. It completely got rid of the problem within about a week. Also, I just recently came off of Lexapro and switched to Zoloft, and I was nauseated for the first few weeks. I'm not sure how Valium works, as it is a benzodiazepine, versus an SSRI, but if you've been on it for quite some time, I would imagine you could be experiencing withdrawal symptoms.
on this stuff after one dose) Clonazepan Mirtazipine Zoloft Zyprexa Seroquel Prozac Celexa Toprol XL Welbutrin Lexapro Risperdal I have also taken Lunesta, Ambien, Prilosec (daily), Nexium, Zantac and Amoxicillin. I will have to post again to finish....sorry, but thanks in advance!
The OTC pill she takes is Equate brand maximum acid controller/reducer (the one that is equivalent to Zantac). She says that it does work great when she has really bad heartburn symptoms. When she was on prescription meds, the only one I know off the top of my head was Prilosec, which was the one that gave her a lot of gastrointestinal problems. She is also on Zoloft and Atenolol.
I have eliminated caffeine but have always had some trouble getting to sleep. I am currently taking Clariton-D(24 hr) Zoloft(10 mg) and Zantac(150mg). I have a pretty high stress life with a high pressure job and four young children. Can you recommend some other course of treatment. The night time eating is obviously causing weight gain. I am not hungry when I wake up but I need to put something in my stomach to quiet the rumblings.
I called the doctor back and was put on a higher dosage of predinzone in combination with Zantac (something about Zantac having a histamine blocker in it). That didn't work either. The hives are terrible, uncomfortable and have made me miserable for months. I actually have an allergy appointment scheduled this month. I really feel that I may be one of those impacted by this bra!!!!
I was in and out of tons of doctors and nothing was found wrong. They but my on zoloft and with in a few days I was better. It comes and goes but the zoloft has really helped. I would take med's if I were you.
