Nope, Xanax. I was just saying how I'm trying to avoid heartburn, being off Nexium and all. But, nevermind, I looked it up and found out Xanax does wear away the area where the stomach meets the esophagus.

Not tired but some dizzy doesnt last long. I have GERD. I use to take nexium, then protonix then zantac. Had rnuclear stress test done was positive negative, had chest pain went to er had a cardiac catherization done was clear. Just to make sure we're on the same page, are you sure it was "Zantac" you were perscribed? Zantac is used to control excessive stomach acid. Did you mean "Xanax?" Xanax is an antianxiety medication, but has no affinity for depression. If you could just clear that up for us, we can hopefully get you some answers.

I ran out of the 75 mg of zantac but I have equate 150 mg its the same thing as zantac but just the.generic brand. Is it ok to take that?

Diagnosed via endoscopy with a small gastric erosion compatible with gastritis several months ago (negative for h.pylori). Have tried Protonix for 3 months, Dexilant for 2 months, Nexium for 2 weeks (felt worse), and have been on Carafate for a month. I've also tried some "at home remedies". Nothing works. I went to see my primary care Dr. for stress/anxiety and he thinks that may be why my stomach is not healing.

Just to be sure -- I am taking Norpace XR, Atenolol, Xanax, Synthroid, Zantac, and Metformin. I have normal kidney function.

Does anyone know if you can take Zantac 75 during your first trimester for heartburn? I took it with my first pregnancy, but it was a lot later in the pregnancy. I am dying here, and need a fix.

benzodiazepines are xanax ,ativan,klonopin ,valium. Valium is the safest of of the benzos but is still addictive and needs to be tapered .

m back on prilosec after zantac quit working and now am doing much better. ( A side effect of Zantac is heart palpitations also.) But, yeah sometimes at night I have to move around to get the skipped beats to stop. PS My babies are now 19 and 17. :) I hoped this helped. It is funny how one problem can cause something else to flare up when it seems they are unrelated.

they were wonderful!!! they gave me some klonipin for my nerves and zantac for my stomache. i am going back fri and once a week after that. i am so glad i had the courage to go because saying it to a medical professional helped alot. i know alot of people talk about trading one adiction for another but the dr. is going the closely moniter me. does that sound ok?

I took Zantac because I had gastritis symptoms. Now I hear that Zantac causes cancer and wished I never went to pills for relief. How long does it take for cancer to appear after you've taken Zantac? I've heard the NDMA in Zantac causes full body cancers in every organ.... This seems like a intentionally made drug to induce cancer.

Go pick up zantac 150 or 75 mg. If 75 mg take 1 pill twice daily and then take tums as needed. Zantac should prevent the heartburn but if it doesnt work on occasion take tums (i normally take 4 extra strength tums or 2 ultra strength at a time) I was prescribed zantac 75 mg twice a day with my first baby and told to take tums if for some reason zantac doesnt help so its perfectly safe!

Im in my 7th week and my acid reflux is aweful! Does anyone know if Zantac is safe? Tums are not working...

So I bought some OTC zantac like my doc suggested today only to get home, takeone, and realize I accidentally grabbed the 150mg when I was only supposed to take 75. Is thus a major issue I should call in to the on call Dr about or just let it go?
