I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow and I've been battling horrible heartburn ever since starting this trimester. It doesn't matter what I eat, it's Everyday All Day! I've been on zantac (150 twice a day) for a couple of months now. Milk will only sooth my throat for a few minutes... I could drink a gallon a day! The problem is that it is 6:30 am here and I feel like I am dying!
---------------EKG, lab work, x-rays of my chest . They said no signs of a heart attack, stroke or blood clots. ?sentmehomewith Zantac.? They said it could be signs of "acid reflux" . I stillhavethey same feeling in my chest. Nota pain ,but a slight tightness/ pressure which makes me focus on that area and breathing.It worsens as I lye down? Will the Zantac eventually relieve this pressure or what remedies will ease the tightness? Kind of feel like it could be axiety.
Just looking for anymore information or advise about withdraws from Fioricet / I have been taking this medication from years from Migrain headaches, it's seemed the longer I was on it the less it helped so I would increase my doses because I could not get rid of my headaches the other day I just stopped using it because it was like just this non stop headache.

I cannot convince my doctor to try to put me on Zantac which I took years ago without problem. Been taking various PPIs every day since 10/17/2008. Fom 9/8/2008 through 10/10/08, was taking only 20 mg of Aciphex but was taking so many other medications since doctor diagnosed IBS that I couldn't tell which one was causing the problem. After endoscopy on 10/17/08 and duodonal ulcers found, all other medication was stopped which is how I identified Aciphex was causing major problem.
There should be a prescribing information sheet included with a prescription medicine that will list known side effects.
After 6 months the pain returned and my primary care doctor added 150 mg of Zantac twice per day. I finally broke down and went back to the Gastro doctor and he canceled the Zantac and added 37.5 mg of Effexor XR. I cannot understand the reasoning behind this prescription. He stated that the Effexor will help my cramping and spasming intestinal issues. Is this prescription something that is routine?

I am on 5mg Reglan 2-3 times daily for gastroparesis. Also, Nexium 40mg and zantac 150 mg. Is there any concern of being on any of these drugs long term?
About 20 years ago I have been diagnosed for ulcer in the duodenum and I had been treated by Zantac, but that had not been diagnosed again during the last 10 years although that I have made some tests.
I made an endoscopy about 2 years ago with few biopsies taken, everything was found ok except a mild gastritis.
