zantac pregnant

ve had other pregnant women tell me zantac is way to go. My dr just keeps saying tums. I go February 4th for next appointment. I'm going to talk to her then.

My RE and my OB both said I could take Zantac 150 - - didn't want me to take Pepto Bismol (b/c it has aspirin in it) or Prilosec OTC (it's a category C).

I ran out of the 75 mg of zantac but I have equate 150 mg its the same thing as zantac but just the.generic brand. Is it ok to take that?

Has anyone ever taken Zantac? My doctor told me to take that everyday instead of taking tums b/c they are pointless, but I kinda don't wanna take medicine.

ZANTAC, ZANTAC, ZANTAC!!! I started getting it early with this pregnancy too, and at 11 weeks I asked for it because it helped when I was pregnant with Elijah. It's AWESOME!!! I've only had it maybe two times since in the last 3, almost 4 weeks. Try to avoid foods that will make it worse, like tomato sauces, or acidic things like orange juice...I hope it gets better soon!!!

Im in my 7th week and my acid reflux is aweful! Does anyone know if Zantac is safe? Tums are not working...

My dr says zantac is ok to take...I had a pre-existing stomach problem before I got pregnant, and the zantac works great!

I want something with immediate relief and wondered if the anyone took the other ones like Zantac or whatever else is out there. Tums does NOT work for me. I'm 24 weeks pregnant and have been having terrible heartburn for the last weeks. My doctor prescribed Zantac and I can take up to 2 tablets, one every 12 hours. The thing is, today is the first day I had to take 2! These last days one was enough, and today, honestly, none of the tablets have worked. I'm so worried, plus, still have this heartburn and have no clue how to deal with it! It's so uncomfortable and painful! :( Has any of you been through this?

I take the Walmart brand of Zantac sometimes twice a day. I took it for the last 3 to 4 months Of my first pregnancy and it never went away and so when I got pregnant again I took it and get bad and the Dr said 2 a day was safe and so here I am baby 3 and taking it and all my babies are fine :-D take a Zantac don't struggle.

I'm 38.5 weeks pregnant and have heartburn!! I never had it before, I'm eating these damn tums and THEY ARE not helping. Its so bad, I wanna puke!! Any advice? I've tried cold milk, didn't work!!

I probably asked this before, but is taking zantac on a daily basis or a few times a week a bad thing in pregnancy? I'm just about 32 weeks and have had the worst acid reflux this pregnancy and have tried every natural thing out there. For a while, just drinking grapefruit juice got rid of it, but now it does nothing. Tums have even stopped working. I am not one to take medicines or pop a pill unless I absolutely have to, and that's pregnant or not pregnant.

I used zantac and it worked pretty well...I have a hiatal hernia so my indigestion during pregnancy was absolutely unreal and hurt so bad. Like m3lanie, I used to drink a glass of milk with a spoonful of (sweet) cream when it was bad, too. I couldn't take tums or any other of the calcium-based antacids because I have semi-chronic calcium kidney stones and they ARE chronic when I'm pregnant due to the different calcium absorption rates while you're pregnant...

for heartburn you can try drinking milk, or medication wise tums and zantac 75mg or 150 up to twice a day is ok to take during pregnancy, personally zantac is what has worked best for me

Zantac works really good you can also take tums n sometimes drinking milk works.

I have been using tums and Zantac 75 when it's really bad. Make sure if you take Zantac your doc approves first.

I tried mylanta before I got the zantac, I had it prescribed to me because nothing else was working...and the zantac was working up to now...
