In the last few months I have developed really bad heartburn. Zantac helps for a few hours but then it starts again.

My doctor at the time prescribed Zantac 150 mg twice a day. She advised that I would have to take it for the rest of my life. Needless to say I have been obedient since. Over the years I have had some serious panic attacks (fear of food allergies, irregular breathing, etc), some causing me to go to the emergency room. About ten years ago I started having SVT ( heart rate jumping to 225 for no reason). I would have it twice a year until I decided to have a corrective surgery two weeks ago.

H2 blockers, such as Zantac, ranitidine, Pepcid can also cause changes in heartbeat. I don't know what to safely try, or how to taper off the Nexium. Can anyone help? I just don't know what to do. Don't want heartburn or esophageal cancer either from not addressing the reflux.

I ran out of the 75 mg of zantac but I have equate 150 mg its the same thing as zantac but just the.generic brand. Is it ok to take that?

Has anyone ever taken Zantac? My doctor told me to take that everyday instead of taking tums b/c they are pointless, but I kinda don't wanna take medicine.

My doctor told me that I have Osteoporosis and wants me to try Forteo an injection for two years. Has anyone tried this drug and what were your side effects, if any. I don't want to make my stomach problems worse than there already are.

I just had my frist Bone scan and the office called me and said I had osteoporosis and that they called in RX for Atelvia.. I picked up the RX and was reading the information and I am concerned about the side effect of this medication. Is this the only way to help with osteoporosis? Is there anything elso another way?

I am a 59 year old female.The reading on my bone density test is minus 4.1 for my spine and minus 2.6 for my legs and hip. However, my doctor isn't prescribing any medication for me but tells me to continue taking calcium supplement and Vitamin D and come back in a year to do another test. Since I am obviously having osteoporosis, shouldn't I be taking any prescription drug? I am worried sick over the reading and need some expert opinion to go back and talk to my doctor again.

Hey Guys, just a quick question. Have any of you been diagnosed with severe osteoporosis? I just found out last week that I have it really bad - they said they almost never see numbers this bad in someone my age. (I'll be 47 in May.) My bones are worse than my mom's, and she's 75! I am at extremely high risk for fractures now, especially in my hips, spine and wrists.
