zantac label

The cipro label says no antiacids, but specificly does not list ranitidine, the main ingredient in zantac. Can I take my zantac or not, is my question, as I have terrible acid reflux because of nsaids that I take for back and shoulder pain. Thanks so much!

I too was prescribed zantac (Ranitidine) and I began taking them last week for nausea and was having light chest pain.( Less serious Zantac side effects may include:headache (may be severe);drowsiness, dizziness;sleep problems (insomnia);decreased sex drive, impotence, or difficulty having an orgasm; or swollen or tender breasts (in men);nausea, vomiting, stomach pain; or diarrhea or constipation so yes those are some of the side effects your having.

Prevacid, Nexium, Protonix, Aciphex, Zantac, and Pepcid are all used to treat reflux. You can ask you doctor who will know best which one is least likely to cause you dizzyness.

My doc said follow the label on tums if tums don't work use over the counter zantac...

Hello, has anyone ever taken PPIs or acid blockers (such as Prilosec, Prevaid, Nexium, Protonix, Zantac, Pepcid, etc) & had an increase in OCD or anxiety? I had peptic ulcer a while back (not caused by h. pylori), & all of these meds seem to make my OCD almost intolerable (especially when I'm at work looking at spreadsheets full of numbers).

In fact, a better choice than antacids -- assuming your condition is chronic -- would be a PPI like Nexium or a H-2 Blocker like Zantac or Pepcid AC. Both of which can be taken without regard to the ribavirin. Ask your doc. Liver specialists and GI's should know what is best for you. As to the other, Tylenol appears to be the most recommeded pain killer on treatment but again, ask your doc how much is safe to take. In fact, bring the label with you so he can do the math if you can't.

I ran out of the 75 mg of zantac but I have equate 150 mg its the same thing as zantac but just the.generic brand. Is it ok to take that?

My doctor at the time prescribed Zantac 150 mg twice a day. She advised that I would have to take it for the rest of my life. Needless to say I have been obedient since. Over the years I have had some serious panic attacks (fear of food allergies, irregular breathing, etc), some causing me to go to the emergency room. Does anyone know if you can take Zantac 75 during your first trimester for heartburn? I took it with my first pregnancy, but it was a lot later in the pregnancy. I am dying here, and need a fix.

I took Zantac because I had gastritis symptoms. Now I hear that Zantac causes cancer and wished I never went to pills for relief. How long does it take for cancer to appear after you've taken Zantac? I've heard the NDMA in Zantac causes full body cancers in every organ.... This seems like a intentionally made drug to induce cancer.

Hi......Zantac is not an antidepressant it's prescribed for heartburn. Is there another medication she's been prescribed that maybe you got confused with the Zantac?

Go pick up zantac 150 or 75 mg. If 75 mg take 1 pill twice daily and then take tums as needed. Zantac should prevent the heartburn but if it doesnt work on occasion take tums (i normally take 4 extra strength tums or 2 ultra strength at a time) I was prescribed zantac 75 mg twice a day with my first baby and told to take tums if for some reason zantac doesnt help so its perfectly safe!

Hi welcome to the Hepatitis C community Olysio per the prescribing information sheet is intended to be used with interferon and Ribavirin. The same applies to Sovaldi. Per prescription they are not used together. However there have been clinical trials using them together "off label" and they have been shown to be highly effective when used together.
