zantac for stomach

It started with heart palpitations and vomiting, then i had abdominal or gas pain. stomach feels uncomfortable after eating.i went to a physician and he prescribed me zantac. i also had my blood checked for a deficiency in anything. results were norma except that i had a UTI infection. now i'm on zantac and an antibiotic. unfortunately i'm struggling with extreme fatigue upon standing, rapid heart rate some coughing and sometimes dizziness. This has been going on for three weeks.

My doc told me Zantac is safe for pregnant women. Iwas doing tums but they only worked but for so long and it says not to exceed 12 in a day. Zantac was a life saver for me.

Im 10+5 and I've had stomach pains for the last 4 weeks. the doctor said its normal as long as I'm not bleeding..... o and have really bad acid indigestion. i don't like to eat because it burns in my stomach. i live off of crackers and cheese because it's the only thing that doesn't make me want to vomit. anyone else have this or similar????

I have one question abt Zantac. Before going to bed...if can i take zantac,is it helpful to get hours sleep. Please help me....Now i am 9 weeks...next week i want to fly around 7 hrs...i am so worried abt that also....

For the past week I've been dealing with horrible stomach burning and nausea. It feels like my stomach is on fire and it makes me incredibly nauseous. I've been taking zantac and tums but neither offer me much relief. I feel the worst after eating. But it doesn't matter what I eat...I try eating bland foods like noodle soup, saltines, bananas etc but I still feel awful. I sometimes feel hungry but still nauseated at the same time so I have no desire to eat.

t give me a headache like omeprazole did, or seem to make me kind of dizzy/light headed like it seemed tagamet did. If you feel zantac is not enough for the acid problem, you can take tums or liquid anti-acid, but you need to space it apart- like wait at least a couple hours after taking your zantac to do it. Also, you should let your doctor know if the zantac is not sufficiently treating your symptoms.

I also quit taking Xifaxin and all stomach pills in the form of Prilosec and Zantac and Carafate down to at night only Zantac.

Does anyone know if you can take Zantac 75 during your first trimester for heartburn? I took it with my first pregnancy, but it was a lot later in the pregnancy. I am dying here, and need a fix.

Have you tried an antacid or something like Pepto-Bismol or Zantac - which I think reduces the amount of acid secreted by the stomach in order to reduce ulcer and heartburn pain or to assist in healing of ulcers - I'm pretty sure it is used to treat stomach and duodenal (intestinal) ulcers, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). That might point you in the right direction. Sounds like you should still see your GP though.

Ive been having the same thing for the past week im gona b 23 weeks tmoro my dr told my tp take Zantac u cld getvit in any pharmacy andive seen that tums also helps for that

s Zantac or Pepcid can be given occasionally to calm the stomach. Pepcid dose is 1 to 2 mg once daily. Zantac dose is 5 to 10mg once daily.

My daughter kept aspirating so they had to thickenher milk by adding rice cereal to her formula and also giving her zantac. Zantac works well for acid reflux she's able to eat without spitting up. Everything will be fine .

The inside of my stomach as been burning for two days,im not able to sleep @ night cause of the burning.

But i then found out that maybe my stomach discomfort is actually caused by a lack of acid in the stomach. And if i take zantac with an already acid lacking stomach it can be bad. So what do you think i should do?

Hi, for the last couple of months actualy I've been getting realy severe sabdominal cramps, for some reason it completely goes away just after I've eaten but would just come back after an hour or so. I'm also slightly bloated... I'm also rather constipated. Any Idea what it might be? It's gotten so bad that I have these pains 24/7...

Talk to your doctor...they actually have me on prilosec and it's amazing for the acid/heartburn (prilosec is a class C drug, zantac is a little safer as a class B, but didn't work for me) but unfortunately I still wake up chocking on stomach content if I eat or drink after 5pm (it just doesn't burn like before)...

I was given a 2 week course of Zantac to be taken morning and evening for two weeks. Immediately after taking them, I felt good and a lot of the troubles I have been having with my mouth(white spots on tongue, sore throat) disappeared. Then, on the fourth day, it all returned with a vengeance. Sore throat, dry cough, white coated tongue, and since then has only gotten worse. I stopped the Zantac after about 12 days and on that day my neck started to ache like crazy.

My dr says zantac is ok to take...I had a pre-existing stomach problem before I got pregnant, and the zantac works great!

but im thinking of trying zantac for her the least doisage possible just to cjeck if it will reduce the spitting and the crankiness after feeds, but i also don't want her tummy to get used to it since my self i have been on omeprazole for years and can't live without it.. it's only during my pregnancy that I have changed to zantac and in severe cases pariet or lanzor.

Then I took more Zantac, woke up crampy and nauseous, ate some cereal, now I am lightheaded and my stomach hurts and I need to eat something else but I'm afraid to. Could the Zantac be messing with my digestion and making me feel worse?

Has anyone taken zantac during pregnancy for heartburn? I'm 22+5 and have heartburn almost every other day. Sometimes it's so bad that I just want to sleep so i don't feel it.

My doctor recommended zantac during my first two trimesters. It worked pretty well. Now there is just no room for my stomach, so he had me switch to prevacid, and I eat bland foods to keep it under control. I never recommend taking anything without asking, though. That way your doctor can explain the risks if there are any.

Has anyone ever taken Zantac? My doctor told me to take that everyday instead of taking tums b/c they are pointless, but I kinda don't wanna take medicine.

For about the last week I've been experiencing stomach burning. The first day it came on I actually vomitted as it felt like there was so much acid in my stomach - or I assume it's acid. The burning is quite consistent, and I also have a bit of bloating and slight gas feel in it too as I will get subtle type of gas pains. I went to my regular Dr. a few days ago and he put me on Aciphex.
