Ive tried everything from ginger tea, crackers,ginger snaps,peppermint tea, lemon water, zantac nothing helps. Im 5 weeks 3 days. Im miserable im scared to eat. Anyone else with this problem?
My boyfriend went to the hospital with severe lower abdominal pain, they did blood test, urine test, and xray and found nothing. He has had painful diarreah for the past week and a half and twisting like pain than comes in waves and sometimes comes from the upper abdomen. I was given a 2 week course of Zantac to be taken morning and evening for two weeks. Immediately after taking them, I felt good and a lot of the troubles I have been having with my mouth(white spots on tongue, sore throat) disappeared. Then, on the fourth day, it all returned with a vengeance. Sore throat, dry cough, white coated tongue, and since then has only gotten worse. I stopped the Zantac after about 12 days and on that day my neck started to ache like crazy.
but im thinking of trying zantac for her the least doisage possible just to cjeck if it will reduce the spitting and the crankiness after feeds, but i also don't want her tummy to get used to it since my self i have been on omeprazole for years and can't live without it.. it's only during my pregnancy that I have changed to zantac and in severe cases pariet or lanzor.
Hi! There is definitely no magic pill that is safe and OTC. I had read something about immodium helping WDs when I was going through it. I read that you have to take a huge, unhealthy dose to help, and I wasn't willing to do that. I think it would be a horrible idea! It does help diarrhea though and won't hurt you if you use it correctly. You could ask your doc for some clonidine. That is about the only thing I ever tell anyone to do for WDs that is safe and not habit forming.
My doctor is telling me to give my 7 year old Zantac for a kidney infection, but I can't find any information on whether or not this is a proper treatment- I just want to be sure??
We went to the doctor and she had lost 6 pounds due to the fact that she is afraid to eat. The doctor suggested trying Zantac for reflux. She is taking the Zantac although I'm not seeing much of a difference. I have Irritable bowel syndrome myself and I am wondering if that is what she has? Any Ideas?
Which acid reflux medication (over the counter or prescription) has the least amount of magnesium in it? Due to my short gut syndrome, magnesium brings on more diarrhea but I need something to take for acid reflux. What do you suggest?
After 2 days on the pill, I starting having side effects of diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting for almost 3 days. They then switched me to Protonix which I am glad to say is working very well. So like CalGal said, it works differently with different people. Your daughter just needs to find one that works best for her. Good Luck!
Hi Shreya i was looking through the forum for answer that could help me see i two suffer from (Acid Reflux)
i was diagnosed in 1999 after a car accident i was giving Zantac 150mg after five years (yeah i know) although
the medication work very well and with a good diet and exercise my (Acid Reflux seam to have taking a hike)
and in keeping up with the right foods and exercise i was able to take the zantac before i was to eat something
i didn't cook myself .
My 18 month old daughter has had diarrhea and been vomiting for the past 3 weeks. She vomited the first day once and seemed to feel fine afterward. The following two days she had diarrhea. She felt fine the following day. She then began vomiting again after that the second week. During the second week she vomited about three days out of the week and had diarrhea the entire time.
i recently got put on antibiotics (azithromycin) for a throat infection, but these pains are not a side effect. i have experienced the side effects of my antibiotics; i had diarrhea and slight stomach pains, but that was it.

Because of the rash, have you ever been evaluated for celiac disease? It may not account for the stomach ulcers, but it could be the cause of some of the other symptoms.
When they did the endoscopy, did they attribute the structural changes in the stomach to bile reflux? A good pathologist should be able to tell the difference between acid reflux and bile reflux.
