Common Questions and Answers about Zantac for bloating

zantac

Avatar m tn The day before I had eaten some Chinese food and become bloated the day I had gone to the beach. While I was at the beach I had that strange bloating feeling following me so I ate less. After that I went swimming. Half an hour later I was feeling horrible, I kept needing to go to the washroom and I felt nauseous. I got home without throwing up. For the next 2 days I was perfectly fine besides the minor constipation ( feeling like i need to go washroom but stool just won't come out).
Avatar f tn Since August of 2010 I've had chest pain, difficulty breathing, incredible stomach bloating/distention (even after just drinking a glass of water), burping, reflux, and heartburn. My main concern is the bloating and difficulty breathing. I can barely function on a day to day basis. I eat little bites all day long because I can't eat a full meal or I start hyperventilating. I have had an EGD which showed a polyp (was removed) and some mild esophagitis. I don't have H.
Avatar f tn I stopped the Metformin for a few days to give my stomach a rest and took zantac 300 twice a day. No palpitations or afib. I was amazed. I am now on Metformin ER (which has less side affects) and with it I take a zantac. I have had no afib. Either this is a miracle or GERD causes afib. I went to PubMed and confirmed it and here it is: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19911354 I hope that I reach out to people who can benefit by my post.
Avatar m tn It was all the same for him, with the reflux, the sleepless nights, the bloated belly. He also took Zantac without success. What he finally ended up doing was having a doctor look down his throat to discover his burned esophagus and tooth enamel that was severely eroded from all that acid washing up. The doctor didn't find an ulcer, but he put him on Prilosec, I think for a few weeks, until his throat could heal. I wouldn't take any medicine for an extended period though.

Avatar f tn After taking Celebrex about 6 years ago, I gradually started developing heartburn & reflux. It got so bad that I couldn't eat anything but saltine crackers and I lost 20 pounds over about a 2 month period. To go along with this, I would have episodes of tachycardia (heart rate 130 - 140) & difficulty breathing. The episodes of tachycardia & dyspnea seemed to be associated with stomach bloating & nausea.

Avatar f tn she has been getting pain, bloating and nausea. sometimes diahrea. she has been tested for food allergies and trying to take meds make it worse. she stopped the prilosec and pepcid and can only tolerate zantac. she has lost alot of weight with not tolerating food. the pain seems to start when she starts to eat. long episodes of these symptoms then feels better for a bit.
Avatar f tn Try to avoid carbonated drinks and try not to eat too fast, because you will swallow more air, increasing the gas and bloating. Check with your doctor first, but you should be able to take simethicone for the gas and Zantac for indigestion/heartburn, but as I said, verify that your doctor is okay with you taking those, most docs are.
Avatar n tn but im thinking of trying zantac for her the least doisage possible just to cjeck if it will reduce the spitting and the crankiness after feeds, but i also don't want her tummy to get used to it since my self i have been on omeprazole for years and can't live without it.. it's only during my pregnancy that I have changed to zantac and in severe cases pariet or lanzor.
Avatar f tn My question is how to relieve gas, pressure and bloating? I know about watching your diet and what you eat and drink, I have even tried drinking baking soda water. I am extremely uncomfortable, any opinions?
7349088 tn?1390657733 Has anyone taken zantac during pregnancy for heartburn? I'm 22+5 and have heartburn almost every other day. Sometimes it's so bad that I just want to sleep so i don't feel it.
3055148 tn?1368211800 Has anyone ever taken Zantac? My doctor told me to take that everyday instead of taking tums b/c they are pointless, but I kinda don't wanna take medicine.
Avatar n tn My doctor is telling me to give my 7 year old Zantac for a kidney infection, but I can't find any information on whether or not this is a proper treatment- I just want to be sure??
3055148 tn?1368211800 I ran out of the 75 mg of zantac but I have equate 150 mg its the same thing as zantac but just the.generic brand. Is it ok to take that?
Avatar m tn t take it until tomorrow. He is out currently getting my Zantac for me to take. The doctors gave me information on how to cope with constipation such as more fiber, so my dad had me eat beans and peas this morning after giving me the Mira which added some slight discomfort, I did't finish it all. I understand that it hasn't been long enough nor have I even taken the zantac but the doctors did no check of my esophagus or digestive system to find any issue.

Avatar m tn Hi, I have been having trouble breathing, swallowing, bloating in the abdominal region that shifts between center, left and right, along with a sharp pain that will occasionally go through there. This has been ongoing since Saturday evening September 3rd til now September 5th. (over 2 days). Taking antacid (equate maximum strength) does not help the issue I am having.
Avatar n tn tachy, skipped beats, acid reflux, hard to sleep, uncomfortable feeling around my diaphragm, anxiety. These occur when I eat a large meal or have lots of gas/bloating. I find the main culprits for bloating, for me, are raw garlic & onions. Check out these discussion of the same symptoms: http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Heart-Disease/Stomach-Gas-and-Arrythmia/show/337994 http://www.medhelp.
872925 tn?1239869070 My husband & doctor (dh is a pharmacist) believe it or not let me take Gas-X for my bloating as that seemed to help me but I was severly constipated too which was part of the problem. The indigestion & bloating are both very normal during pregnancy - you could try the above OTC & you could also ask about taking Tums. It's a mild antacid. There's also eating small meals - don't eat a whole lot at one time, try 7-up or Ginger-ale & soda crackers.
