Now i developed,Gasitrics problem, as from yesterday night i have stomach pain (just below rib area). Now doctor prescribed me ZANTAC to treat gastrics and adviced to stop NSAID completely and bare the pain. Now please advice the below 1) Whether my gasitrics is curable? 2) How long it will take to cure 3) What do and dont i need to follow during this gasitrics period 4) even after taking zantac mild stomach buring is there, how to cure it.

There are articles which link uric acid levels (high uric acid is associated with Gout) with HCV and interferon but I don't think that gout is a side effect of HCV or treatment. I ran out of the 75 mg of zantac but I have equate 150 mg its the same thing as zantac but just the.generic brand. Is it ok to take that?

s easy to rule this in or out based on Uric Acid levels in your blood. I assume your PCP has done this and that is his rationale behind dismissing Gout. What I do think is that you need to find out the reason your foot is swelling. The swelling alone can damage tissues and structures if left untreated...which you certainly don't want to do, especially at 25. Dark urine could be from nothing more then not drinking enough fluids.

I've just started taking zantac, and I don't know if I'll have any side effects, or if my regular symptoms (stomach pain, upset stomach) will become apparent or come back. My question is this; if I get nauseous, stomach pain, upset stomach etc. as a side effect or other, can I take tums to calm my stomach down? Or will it just make things worse? I can't talk to my doctor because (a) don't have an appointment and (b) am too young to drive there or get an appointment myself.

I am suffering from acute gout right now and have found many connections with hypothyroid and gout and a fair amount on its (hypo) connection to tooth decay and gum disease! Can you please tell me if you can take Nexium 40mg. and Zantac 75mg. together or on the same day. My GI doctor has me on Nexium 40mg. and my PCP wants me to take Zantac 75mg. at night before I go to bed. Is it safe, and can I take it with Xanax 1mg. I have GERDS and Barrett's Esophagus. And they both think it mjght be causing these little pinpoint pimples in my mouth, tongue, and throat.

t zantac but it is the same ingredient you drop it in a half cup water and it foams up and you quickly drink it. It is OTC. If zantac is safe this should be too. Thanks so much. Also i read that taking any antacid like tums and rolaids can have a reaction with the prozac. Is this true i was too scared to try Tums.

I have exactly this problem. A very fit and healthy 51 year old right hand that only a week ago had a comment about my firm handshake. Now I can't shake hands, the knuckle at the top of my middle finger is sore and swollen making it difficult to both lay my hand flat or make a fist. There was no impact injury that I can think of and xrays showed nothing. I've never had gout and the only other joint issue I have is a bad knee. Any clues?

Go pick up zantac 150 or 75 mg. If 75 mg take 1 pill twice daily and then take tums as needed. Zantac should prevent the heartburn but if it doesnt work on occasion take tums (i normally take 4 extra strength tums or 2 ultra strength at a time) I was prescribed zantac 75 mg twice a day with my first baby and told to take tums if for some reason zantac doesnt help so its perfectly safe!

Hi ggreg and thank you for the link. I looked it up and yes, it does sound like Gout with the exception of the inflammation. I am currently undergoing tests, to do with my kidneys, as they think there may be some damage from the Diomax I was taking for two years for IIH. It does all seems to link up together,unfortunately. High cell turnover rate after treatment caused partly by anemia and other factors contribute to higher uric acid and post treatment gout flairs. I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian and do the cherry juice, apple cider vinegar with mothers and other home remedies and I don't know if they work but they are good for you anyway.

I have been on Allopurinol and had two rounds of steroids and within three days of being off the steroids my gout returns. I don't drink, or eat a much meat and have increased my vitamin C to 1500 mg a day, is there anything else I can do?

Hello, In March I started a project using a roto-tiller, the vibration and strain on my hands was intense, my fingers ached for days, I was also taking abour 64 grms. of whey protein a day (weight /workouts, lost 16 lbs), I didn't put the two together but The pain in my hands (fingers got worse and now I'm having trigger fingers, pain, and some blistering on the skin of my knuckles..I'm also having slight pain in my feet..

Gout symptoms are usually a sore big toe joint (or knee occasionally) which gets red suddenly overnight without warning and becomes excruciatingly painful. So painful that even the weight of a bedsheet is agony! You can't put a sock on, let alone a shoe. Treatment can be prescribed medication such as colchicine but be warned; the side affects can be horrific! The only treatment that works for me when i get it occasionally is an into inflammatory injection right into the joint.
