Zantac and colic calm

Common Questions and Answers about Zantac and colic calm

zantac

1628088 tn?1299532090 Hi, my son is 1 month 1/2 old and suffers from reflux. His pediatrician put him on zantac about 2 weeks ago and now again 2 days ago. I'm not seeing much improvements since he is still spitting up and sometimes it just goes back down. I also feel that he has had colic, since he cries out of no where with such a great force. I was mostly breastfeeding and he was drinking formula (similac advance) as well but maybe just about 2 oz. every other feeding.
Avatar f tn so Colic Calm works wonders for gas and colic issues. try it..its a miracle worker.. homeopathic and safe...
290867 tn?1333569278 Besides the Colic Calm, having him lay on left side when sleeping and keeping him upright almost hour after eating helped keep the formula. But mainly Colic Calm. He is now off the colic calm and I think he has out grown the Reflux issue. I did posting about Colic Calm think it's on page 2.
Avatar f tn Thanks for the Colic Calm - It's on order so we'll see what happens. Also CCN - checked the ingredients or Simply Thick - the Xanthan Gum is a corn product - so mom has taken him off of that also. Hopefully we're on the right track. Thanks for all your help.
Avatar f tn I did some research on-line and found a web site that people were recommending this homopathic stuff called Colic Calm. I had my ped dr investigate the web page and medicine before I started giving it to my son. He said it checked out and it was safe to give it to him. At first I wasn't sure if it was working or that the zyntax was working. We was starting to eat more at once and overall each feeding.
Avatar f tn My first son had it and while he was full term I was told Colic for over a month until I switched peds. The new doc put him on meds (Zantac) and changed his formula because he had a milk protien allergy on top of the reflux. It seems that may be the problem.
1088529 tn?1256844030 I've just started taking zantac, and I don't know if I'll have any side effects, or if my regular symptoms (stomach pain, upset stomach) will become apparent or come back. My question is this; if I get nauseous, stomach pain, upset stomach etc. as a side effect or other, can I take tums to calm my stomach down? Or will it just make things worse? I can't talk to my doctor because (a) don't have an appointment and (b) am too young to drive there or get an appointment myself.
Avatar n tn There is only one such liquid formula on the market. Colic Calm Gripe Water is available at leading pharmacies, online and in select health food stores and health practitioners' offices. Colic Calm has a success rate of over 90% in treating baby colic.
568875 tn?1424397205 he has periods now where he will coo and smile and kick and flail his arms and laughs. but it doesnt last long. he started out on good start gentle plus. and when he ate he would scream bloody murder kick his legs fling his arms arch his back scrunch up into a ball and he SPIT up like crazy! and had the most hard time pooping. he tries so hard formula comes out his nose and mouth (he still spits up now) the doc said he had reflux. so they put him on zantac.
Avatar f tn Call the doc. Thats the only one that can tell u for sure. Try swaddling her or holding her for a little. Check everything- diaper. Temp.
Avatar f tn Try "Colic Calm" homeopathic gripe water. You can find it in cvs. It helped us.
761653 tn?1266271699 It might be too soon for you to be able to read those crys. Bella seems to have one 2 or 3 hour period every day where she can't be soothed. Nursing, burping, pacifier, rocking, only seem to give her about 5 minutes of peace at a time before she starts yelling again. I can tell the cry and it's not pain, it's just an angry fussy cry. I use to do daycare for infants less than a year old and I've seen a few babies with colic. They cry all the time.
Avatar f tn Our baby boy Is 6 weeks old and he has been super fussy lately. We tried everythin' to try to calm him down and wouldn't help. He would actually go without sleep for almost a whole day then when he would go to sleep, he wouldn't want to wake up to eat and would sleep for the whole night If I let him, but I was told not to let them sleep (well, not be fed) over 3 hours. So, we got Colic Calm Homeopathic Gripe Water. It's for everything... Gas, Colic, Upset Stomach, Bloating, etc.
906115 tn?1344200509 She just kept getting worse and finally over a weekend we switched her to Nutramigen and kept with the zantac and she only has the projectile vomiting episodes every other day or so. I didn't ask the ped for meds, I just told him she was getting worse as time moved on and he gave her zantac and said to thicken her feedings.
Avatar f tn Ok I really hope so!! My daughter is 1w2d and she has it bad!! Atleast that's what I think it is cuz we have took her to the doctor and there was nothing wrong .. Last night I was up with her 3hrs straight of her crying/screaming so I really need a solution to help with this cuz I was in tears trying to get her to calm down. I pray this is what she has so I have something that'll help..
Avatar f tn After feeding (formula) shes hard to burp and she screams with a tummy ache and I have to give her zantac...(per doctor) it helps a little ....I guess I just need someone to tell me it wll get better! Im tired!!!! Worn out sometimes I feel I cant keep up with anything!
Avatar f tn i think he'd be better if it was any of those factors that contributed to his reflux. Since you stopped bf and he still has problems, it's unfortunately just something he has. dd is on zantac too. if he starts to get worse, be sure to contact the dr to get his dosage changed. my little one gained so much weight so quickly, we had to change her dose after just 3 weeks.
Avatar f tn I will try colic calm, currently am using mommy's bliss but does not give lobg term relief. i just want normal cries not the heartbreaking ones am used to.
Avatar m tn Hello and hope you are doing well. This is referred to as renal colic. Small stones can obstruct the passage of urine and when the body tries to 'push' against the blockade this results in colic, which is severe attacks of pain. What you experienced could be this pain. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn @Bholcomb is right....when my daughter was doing that and hubby and I had switched bottles and tried gas medicine, it turned out that my daughter had acid reflux and was prescribed liquid zantac that worked wonders immediately. Definitely call the pediatrician. I hope baby feels better soon.
Avatar f tn I had the most calm loving baby ever he is 7months old. Here lately he is starting to cry non stop when I have him. We just found out we were expecting another baby. Could this be the cause of his attitude change? Has anyone experienced this?

Avatar f tn Please see the comments that I wrote to Me2mommy2b. It's pretty long that way I don't have to retype. I talk about my 3 1/2 month old, what the dr's told me to try and what I found on line to try. You'll see I talk about Colic Calm-I swear by it and it's the best thing that has happened to my son. Hopefully it could help your son.
Avatar f tn I would say colic too. My daughter once got like that, and never again. But I'm sure it was colic. Try gripe water.
