i am a 29 y/o f in good health, besides thyroid problem that has been controlled since i was 15. I was diagnosed with panic disorder when I was 16, but it was under control with zoloft for 10 years. I started becoming anxious again, so i was switched to a different med. Then I started having pvcs/pacs. I went to a cardiologist and have been evaluated as just having minor pvcs/pacs. i tried 3 other types of antidepressant, but in the end decided they werent helping and quit taking them.
No I have no history. Dr google is to blame I think along with Health Anxiety, Idk why I was thinking that. It just felt like I was gonna convulse & pase out or lose control of everything.

Meanwhile try doing some centering exercises (like yoga) I know it sounds weird but it will help calm your mind and help enhance your concentration time. For the past week I have been going through some pretty bad health anxiety. I became convinced I had lung or throat cancer, even though i've never smoked in my life. The anxiety has given me intense panic attacks where my heart is racing, my adrenaline is flowing non stop, my hands and feet are numb, I have totally lost my appetite, I have constant stomach gurgling and diarreah, and insomnia.
everytime i hear loud shouting or angry or emotionally depressed or have seen a news which involved death even on cartoons or in reading flash news on tv it seems i felt this sensation beginning from my stomach then from my feet up then shortness of breth as if my body is trying to regulate my breathing, i felt this sensation that their is going something to happen to me, that is why i always pay attention to my heartrate and breathing, i dont know if their is really something wrong inside me or
I started 15 minutes and worked up. I do yoga. Moves that are to hard I skip. I swim. I lift weights 2-3 pounds watching TV.
but supplement a little to keep up your immune system, if you'd like, and eat, really really well (veggies, nuts, a lttle fruit) till you decide what to do, exercise, yoga, lots of clean, good water, be that health freak you've always detested, lol...just kidding!
Your muscles are out of balance. That's why you are supposed to have balance in all things. You need to have a more well-rounded exercise life, so take up working out at a gym with a trainer or take yoga classes or something to strengthen and stretch your body back to something beautiful. You don't have to live out of balance. It's your choice.
I am embarking on a life change either way. I can choose health or illness in my next decades. It took a long time to get here. I want some advise for getting the gut gone.
It sounds like you've hit on a pretty good plan there -- slow and steady is the best way to do it, so you can make the changes last. I'm not familiar with the "Biggest Loser Yoga for Weight Loss" DVD, but I love yoga. Yoga stretches your muscles and strengthens your core muscles. I am not normally one for slow boring things either, but the movements in yoga are so deliberate it takes a lot of concentration to get the poses right. It's also very low impact.

It would be easier if you add to the same post each time, rather than starting a whole new one, then we don't have to keep switching back and forth to see what's gone before. But that's ok - you'll get the hang of things. Have you been to see your doctor to make sure that you don't have any medical issues that might sabotage weight loss, such as thyroid, pre-diabetes/insulin resistance, etc?
if the sensory vest things like the pressure vest induce deeper breathing, I wonder if yoga breathing practicing would help you out. I can't do yoga well at all (I just got a Wii fit and it has yoga on it and boy do I stink up a storm), but the breathing exercises are more manageable.
I noticed a few days ago that I've been leaning on one wrist with my other elbow while watching TV/the computer, which is quite a bit. This gave me a few hours of strange sensitivity on my thenar and bottom of my thumb. I poked a prodded it nervously until I gave it what feels like a very mild sprained like feeling. If your like me when I'm suffering I watch tv until I fall asleep. This is the worst thing to do!!! Your not in control the tv is. So if something crazy comes on while your sleep your dreams will reflect it. Keep in mind that silence is just as bad if you cant think positive. I pray everything works out for you!!!
Hi Toots, Well, you are already doing the first thing I would have advised, which it to get to your doc for a really good going over, from top to bottom....literally! (lol) Obviously you are very anxious regarding your health, which is a very normal and healthy response. This can indeed produce symptoms of anxiety. And one of the hallmark symptoms of anxiety is shortness of breath or at least the feeling that one is not getting enough air into their lungs.
There might also be a yoga channel on TV. Food wise, make sure you stick with lots of veggies, lean protein, low/no fat dairy. Drink lots of water, etc. One thing to keep in mind is that if you lose the weight too quickly, the loose skin may be more prominent. Loss of 1-2 pounds/week is considered safe. Congratulations to your husband for quitting smoking. That's not an easy thing to do, but will help him in the long run. Most people gain some weight, when they quit smoking.
