My medical conditions are listed as possible reasons for disappearing lunula moons - hypothyroidism and vitamin B12 deficiency. I learned that large doses of vitamin E could hold back the symptoms from worsening if not cure the problems. I now eat 500 mg vitamin E in the morning and the same at night. Vitamin E in large doses is laxative but my stomach gradually got used to an increasing dose. I also take a small gulp of oil and vitamin C together with the vitamin E. This is said to help the body to take up all the vitamin E. Soon after I started this treatment my nails started to grow out normally.
Your tongue could be related to either a vitamin deficiency or the reflux. They could both be related as I suspect mine is. I hope you made out well with your new doctor and that he will really help you unlike your previous doctor. It can get frustrating when you know something is not right and there are no answers, only guess work. I'm sure it is frustrating not to be able to get the health care needed because of limited insurance.
Hi, This may be an indication of an underlying deficiency, infection or discoloration due to injury. Many vitamin deficiencies cause ridges on fingernails, as the body's production of the materials in the nail is interrupted. Eating a healthier diet and supplementing with vitamins can help clear up the ridges.

I also take, of course, a regular multi b vitamin, but he shou root (I personally take Shen Min), and from our local Vitamin Shoppe, elements of hair. One other product I use is the Scalp Treatment by Nioxin. The shampoo didn't help, but the scalp treatment seems to help alot. Biggest thing that seemed to help was getting away from the commercial line of shampoos. The SLS is a huge irritant to as I said, the follicle challenged people that we are.
Some of things i thought it might be i am pretty sure now that its not- alergies, fleas or some other kind of pest , some type of fabric irritation or vitamin deficiency. This never happens when i am active, only after stopped to rest or am going to bed. After reading several of these threads i am thinking it is either a vascular problem or a toxic substance of some kind in my system.
For me, I realized I have B12 and Vitamin D deficiency so needed to take those vitamins and avoid B6. I live in the NW with no sunlight and have been breastfeeding a baby so all my nutrients went to him. I have heard it takes about three years for full recovery. The thing I don't really understand is why this happens. The first time it happened to me (two years ago) I was taking a fairly high dose of B complex.
This has got to be due to a vitamin C with Bioflavinoids deficiency! Aspirin depletes vitamin C and so does stress and many other things. You need a good multi vitamin and mineral plus at least 1000 mg. vitamin C plus bioflavinoids. The Bioflavinoids help keep the veins and arteries strong.
) I wonder if it could be a vitamin deficiency related phenomenon? I've always suspected something isn't right with my levels, as I bruise if I even look at a hard surface...and lately my diet hasn't been the best...so perhaps it's compounded now? Who knows...I think I'll pick up some veggies at the grocery tonight anyway. May not know what's going on, but at least I know I'm not the only one now...
dont waste your money on dermitologists they are no help and yes the creams only act as a moistener to help with cracking i actually find relief with gloves to keep the air off has anyone noticed their fingernails grow really fast with an outbreak? i have never had an outbreak on the outer side of hands..only where the sun doesnt fully reach..on the palms and inside of fingers i was thinking light therapy may help a uv light? anyone tried?
After the total melt down I really felt a lot better. However, I also started taking a multi vitamin on friday so that possibly could have started its effects as well. So to my best estimate I either have a vitamin defficiency or it is all anxiety and I am causing these pains on myself. My ear infection is still there as I could not make it to the docs over the weekend and am hoping to get in today somewhere to have that problem alleviated.
Like most of you, I tried everything...Antihistamines, Atarax, Cortisone creams, Vitamin B12 shots, tons of supplements in general, shaving my diet back to almost nothing, exercise, therapy, wellbutrin, Atavan, Cipro...and the list goes on. I did go to an herbal doctor who had me taking about 40 pills a day. WIthin six months, I had the itching down to one arm. It has been that way ever since, which flare ups around my neck area.
blessed thistle tea (very bitter, very cleansing and beneficial to the liver), red rooibos tea (good vitamin K and other beneficial vitamins), echinacea tea (good to improve immune system). i also have discovered reishi mushroom (helps stop allergic reactions amongst many other benefits)- i have found a high quality pill form which i have taken daily for about 4 days. i also take raw apple cidar vinegar in water for ph balance and eat a raw garlic clove for antibiotic properties.
Fem-dophilus comes in a pink box and can be found in the refrigerated section of the vitamin dept at your local health food store. you need to keep it refrigerated. Which reminds me...I didn't take it this morning! Here's a quote I found on a totally different site from Grace: "It helps restore the "good" flora to the genital area so it's good for bv and yeast. Google dr gregor reid and urex cap 5 - it's well worth the read.
I had a really bad Qtip habit that I fear may have caused all of this trouble. When I used to use Qtips I always had a bit of yellow ear wax on the tip. After really getting aggressive with Qtips and using them several times a day I believe the Ph in my ears became unbalanced and now I/we may have some type of yeast infection. For more than a year I have seen no yellow wax. I'm going to ask for the Derm Otic drops and consider the EPA oils.
I am also currently treating my candida. I am seeing a nutritionist/ND to test for mineral/vitamin deficiencies and to treat candida also. I am starting on anti-depressants, which are also known to help candida. I have the white tongue too.
3- wash your hands as much as possible, eggs on your hands are not persistent but make sure to use an antibacterial soap, 4- use disinfectent for cleaning the bathroom, but do not inhale while doing so, those products are extremely dangerous, 5- bathe twice a day (especially in the morning) or at least swipe your bottom with vinegar in the mornings (or a mixture of mashed garlic and vaseline at night so that the females can't go out and lay eggs), 6- keep fingernails as short as possible,
The sleeping is a normal problem for me since i have early menopause going on .
Along with higher histamine levels, a fast oxidizer's cellular membranes are more permeable, usually due to a calcium deficiency. An increased permeability of the cell membranes allows increased amounts of histamine to be liberated into the surrounding tissues resulting in an increased allergic reaction.
php I have had 8-9 day periods since my 20's with HUGE painfull clots and heavy bleeding. I was so worn out and tired all the time. OB/GYN tested thyroid, iron, ultrasounds, you name it..all normal. He said that my body has to work very hard to replace the blood lost, which leaves me tired. Two weeks ago I had balloon thermal abaltion. I already feel better, which is something unexpected so soon! My family said it was like having the old me back.
Because I do not consume animal products and did not know whether the sort of vitamin-B12 pill I was taking worked for me, I thought it could be neurological symptoms of a deficiency, although unlikely just after 3 years with that diet. Had a blood test done, blood was perfect all in all, while B12 on the low end, but still considered "normal". What's also interesting is that I have a sensitivity to some chemicals I have not certainly identified, but it's not an allergy.
also if i want to have sex, to prevent irritation, i'm supposed to put some vitamin A and D ointment on the spot, as a barrier, and also use lubrication (astroglide is good, ky is no good because it drys out quickly) i cannot stress the importance of lube enough!! my gyn has had a lot of success with this treatment and hopes that in 6 weeks i should finally be healed. i'll post an update soon. extra advice: if your gyn is not helping, get a new one!!
