Common Questions and Answers about Yellow discharge from nipple

discharge

Avatar f tn t really anything to be concerned about. When there is nipple discharge without any pressure being applied can be of concern and should be ck.d out by your Physician. The fluid can be almost any color and consistancy. I wouldn't recommend this stimulation .... it will usually produce some amt. of nipple discharge. If you are particularly concerned you could certainly make an appointment with your Dr. for a clinical breast exam.
1461017 tn?1285812782 Some pituitary tumors cause excess prolactin secretion that can lead to milky nipple discharge, usually from both breasts (bilateral). Opalescent discharge that is yellow or green in color is normal. Most bloody or watery (serous) nipple discharge (approximately 90%) is due to a benign condition such as papilloma or infection. A papilloma is a non-cancerous, wart-like tumor with a branching or stalk that has grown inside the breast duct.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know why or what causes this? It scares me because one site did say that a yellow discharge is a sign of breast cancer. My grandmother had it when I was very young. Thanks to anyone that can give me some helpful answers!!
Avatar n tn I am 40 years old , andone of my breast has a sticky yellow discharge and expressed, there is also a little bit of white discharge along with it. It almost looks like pus. For the past six months, my breast have been extremely tender, especially when it is time for my period(I had a partial hysterectomy so I that is the only way that I know I am on my period). Could this possibly just be a clogged duct? This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.medhelp.
Avatar n tn t feel any lumps however there is a small amount of fluid that is coming out of the nipple. It is a slight yellow/green color and is kind of thick. Is this something I should be concerned abour?
Avatar m tn Oh, I guess I should mention that when in my late 20's, I had nipple discharge. Kind of yellow/white in color. I was checked for a tumor in my pituitary gland as that is a common cause but didn't have one. For me, it was a hormonal imbalance. I produced too much estrogen. What makes me concerned about infection for you is the greenish color.
Avatar f tn I recently noticed during my menstral cycle a yellow discharge from my left breast when I squeeze it from outside the nipple pressing in toward the nipple. I'm very concerned that this may be some form of breast disease as I've not had this occur before. Further reason for anxciousness is that I am not currently on a medical aid. Young and concerned.
Avatar f tn i have discharge from right nipple it is white ,yellow green and bloody.my nipple and whole breast hurts and i have to squeeze to make the pressure/pain go away and that's when the gunk comes out.I've had mammogram and sonogram now they are checking for prolactin levels. Is there anything else that this could be?
Avatar f tn Hello! I'm 38 years old and recently found that I've got a dilated duct on my right breast when I went for a mammogram and ultrasound. There is also "whitish", pale yellow discharge from the right nipple on a daily basis. I also feel pain in my right breast around the nipple area, sometimes the pain can be excruciating. Is the pain related to the dilated duct and if I go for the surgery to remove the duct, would the pain go away? Please advise. Thank you.
Avatar n tn Squeezing the nipple sends message to the brain and the pituitary gland responds by increasing prolactin levels, which in turn produces discharge from the nipple. The discharge can come in a variety of colors - gray, green and brown as well as white. Some women are more prone to more discharge including women on; birth control pills, certain blood pressure medications or on major tranquilizers. These medications increase prolactin levels in the body.
Avatar n tn Today I noticed while I was in the shower that on the middle of my nipple was a cloudy white/yellow discharge. It really scared me! I squeezed my nipple to see if it really was a discharge. Sure enough more came out. I squeezed it out until there seemed to be no more. About an hour later or so, I checked to see if it was still there. There in fact was more discharge. It has not been leaking out either, it only comes out if it is squeezed out.
Avatar f tn I have been and still am a little confused because the definitions of inductal papilloma that I have read always mention nipple discharge and I have had no nipple discharge. I see a surgeon on June 5 and I will write down some questions for him since I tend to go blank when nervous.
Avatar n tn I have 14 years old daugher who had a yellow to brown discharge from the areoral area of the left nipple on Dec 13th. We performed the below tests: Breast ultrasound : two cists are found below the surface of the skin. They were not harmful. All hormon tests suggested by the endochronologist were ok. The discharged liquid was examined and no cancer cells were found. We havent seen any discharge since then until two days ago some green discharge appeared in the same area.
