It is not abnormal for women to have secretions for 2-3 months and sometimes a year or two after stopping breast feeding. Also, many women have some type of nipple discharge or fluid when their breasts are squeezed, and it can be normal. Squeezing the nipple sends message to the brain and the pituitary gland responds by increasing prolactin levels, which in turn produces discharge from the nipple. The discharge can come in a variety of colors - gray, green and brown as well as white.
The appearance (slightly yellow) and the smell of the discharge (anomia-like are similar to urine. What can be done to control it? Or at least to diminish volume and ordor? It seems all the possible solutions the doctor mention had to do with urine loss, not vaginal discharge. For vaginal discharge, he said you might have to learn to live with it. I don't have STD (and have not had a sexual partner for several years).

Hi, Many women have some type of discharge when the nipples are squeezed and the discharge could be many colors, like white, yellow, brown etc..and this is normal. However, you should stop squeezing the nipple because when you do that, you are actually making the discharge continue. The time to worry about nipple discharge is when it’s bloody and spontaneous (comes out by itself without squeezing) Bloody discharge from the nipple can be associated with many different conditions.

-) The type of discharge changes throughout your monthly cycle. Some clear/white discharge is present right after your period and then you might notice a lot of clear mucus that is like egg-whites (or snot). This present right before and during ovulation. It is your most fertile mucus. Then after ovulation it changes to milky white and then sticky white and then you get your period. Timing and amount is variable from woman to woman.

there may be more discharge at puberty and at menopause than the years in-between. The time to worry about nipple discharge is when it’s spontaneous (comes out by itself without squeezing), keeps on happening, and is only on one side. If it is clear and sticky, like an egg white, or bloody. Without ability to ask questions and perform physical examination it is difficult to evaluate the situation fully.
I still get a discharge but I really don't notice such a bad odor after it. I do notice that after douching, at the end of the insertion part there is a yellow goo on it. I don't know if all this is normal or not so I'm just checking to see if any other woman has this issue? Thank you!

Super heavy bleeding, clots that should have a birth certificate and about 3-5 days of light to moderate watery discharge after a 7-10 day period. The discharge is clear to slightly yellow, slightly sticky like maybe serous fluid, no odor. I don't have the constipation but check on the left side pelvic and back pain intermittently throughout the cycle, that gets much stronger during the flow. Add to this spotting between periods and very short 20 day cycle.
I experienced burning. Is this normal after 13 years? Is there any health reason I should continue using it? The discharge I'm noticing is yellow. After talking with the physician I was given a one year reprieve from the pap/pelvic exam.
And that was after I wiped myself after urinating. It was not a lot of pink discharge on th T.P. And here and there, I get a little crampy, but not the usual hell cramps I experience every month, just little cramps. Those are not every day either. Then the next day, just clear discharge. The following, a little just that once again. Today, nothing. Just clear and thick. My boobs have NOT been sore at all. I think I better go get a hpt. Could this be an ectopic? Implantation?

The characteristic symptom of trichomoniasis infection is a heavy, frothy, yellow-green, fishy-smelling discharge from the vagina. The infection can also cause discomfort during sex, vaginal itching, pain when passing urine and occasionally stomach pains. Diagnosis can be confirmed only after pelvic examination and swab samples of the discharge and cervix swabs.
In the meantime the bleading and discharge has started up again after I finished with the 2 wks of antibiotics. So now I am back to square 1. Rather than ever have another operation I am dealing with this on my own. It is a pain in the ..... BB but maybe one day someone will find out why this is. The doctors have no clue!!!!

C and then the Nova sure. After a couple of weeks of discharge I haven't seen any sign of a period (I'm well over due for one). I read somewhere that if you have the procedure close to your cycle it works well (I was on your period when I had it done). i don't think I'll have any more periods since it's been over a month since I had one.
It will be exactly 2 weeks tomorrow since the procedure and I am still having the slight yellowish and sometimes bloody discharge. I did experience the excruciating pain and fever days after the procedure and at times the pain still exist. I called the docor a few days after the procedure to complain about my the pain and the high fever and they called out a bacterial medication to treat an infection. It seems the pay is worse during the night than in the day.

Like most of you with a nipple piercing discharge complication, i.e thick white discharge even after years and after removal of the piercing, I expirience the same thing! Ughh. . And I too like to squeeze it out. Ewww.. My questions is: has anyone ever heard of or know anything about this causing infection to the baby while breast feeding?
it's usually a very thick and clotty discharge. when i masturbate, there is no penetration, just clitoral stimulation. i have noticed this problem for at least a couple of years and initially my doctor thought it was because i was in depo provera and had abnormal bleeding all the time. i have been on the pill for over 7 months and my periods are back to normal except after this occurrence following orgasm.
I have to go on 3-6 months of Lucrin to go into early menopause (i am 30) and then OC after that so as to never have my period again. My doc says, this will reduce the recurrence of the endometriosis. I have no kids yet, but he also said pregnancy reduces the recurrence. I am not lookign fwd to hot-flashes but its the best course of treatment since i want children.
My mother had breast AND kidney cancer, and I recently lost my father to metastatic colorectal cancer. That being said, after having pain in the area of my left ovary, an ultasound found that I have "something" growing on my left ovary. A repeat ultrasound showed that it is growing, and I was giving the choice to leave it and "watch it" or have it removed. I did have a CA-125 blood test, which was "normal".
