Yellow discharge after menopause

Common Questions and Answers about Yellow discharge after menopause

discharge

It is not abnormal for women to have secretions for 2-3 months and sometimes a year or two after stopping breast feeding. Also, many women have some type of nipple discharge or fluid when their breasts are squeezed, and it can be normal. Squeezing the nipple sends message to the brain and the pituitary gland responds by increasing prolactin levels, which in turn produces discharge from the nipple. The discharge can come in a variety of colors - gray, green and brown as well as white.
The appearance (slightly yellow) and the smell of the discharge (anomia-like are similar to urine. What can be done to control it? Or at least to diminish volume and ordor? It seems all the possible solutions the doctor mention had to do with urine loss, not vaginal discharge. For vaginal discharge, he said you might have to learn to live with it. I don't have STD (and have not had a sexual partner for several years).

there may be more discharge at puberty and at menopause than the years in-between. The time to worry about nipple discharge is when it’s spontaneous (comes out by itself without squeezing), keeps on happening, and is only on one side. If it is clear and sticky, like an egg white, or bloody. Without ability to ask questions and perform physical examination it is difficult to evaluate the situation fully.
I still get a discharge but I really don't notice such a bad odor after it. I do notice that after douching, at the end of the insertion part there is a yellow goo on it. I don't know if all this is normal or not so I'm just checking to see if any other woman has this issue? Thank you!

Super heavy bleeding, clots that should have a birth certificate and about 3-5 days of light to moderate watery discharge after a 7-10 day period. The discharge is clear to slightly yellow, slightly sticky like maybe serous fluid, no odor. I don't have the constipation but check on the left side pelvic and back pain intermittently throughout the cycle, that gets much stronger during the flow. And that was after I wiped myself after urinating. It was not a lot of pink discharge on th T.P. And here and there, I get a little crampy, but not the usual hell cramps I experience every month, just little cramps. Those are not every day either. Then the next day, just clear discharge. The following, a little just that once again. Today, nothing. Just clear and thick. My boobs have NOT been sore at all. I think I better go get a hpt. Could this be an ectopic? Implantation?

it's usually a very thick and clotty discharge. when i masturbate, there is no penetration, just clitoral stimulation. i have noticed this problem for at least a couple of years and initially my doctor thought it was because i was in depo provera and had abnormal bleeding all the time. i have been on the pill for over 7 months and my periods are back to normal except after this occurrence following orgasm.

My mother had breast AND kidney cancer, and I recently lost my father to metastatic colorectal cancer. That being said, after having pain in the area of my left ovary, an ultasound found that I have "something" growing on my left ovary. A repeat ultrasound showed that it is growing, and I was giving the choice to leave it and "watch it" or have it removed. I did have a CA-125 blood test, which was "normal".
I am 47 and well into the perimenopause (confirmed by blood tests), my periods have been hit and miss for a couple of years - didn't have one for 5 months (yay) and then came back with a vengeance and lasted 6 weeks (dark and watery), missed another few months then came back - you get the picture.
