Avatar f tn Omg nooooo I hope NOT. If so, This will be my 3rd yeast infection in about a month. First time it was a yeast infection and BV. Doctor believes the 2nd yeast infection came from the antibiotic for BV. I just feel like I'm getting the symptoms again and I really hope not. This can't be healthy for me or my baby. It's driving me crazy!!! Anybody else going through this? I'm 17 weeks ftm!
Avatar f tn I had one early in my pregnancy at 12 weeks. I woke up the other day and was for sure i had another. I was so itchy and uncomfortable. I called my dr office and my nurse had me come in for a swab to make sure it was yeast and not bacteria. Turns out it was nothing. I dont have any sort of infection so she said it may be due to a change in detergent or dryer sheets. I did just get new dryer sheets so im blaming those. Could you just be irritated by something?
Avatar f tn I was on 4 different antibiotics while in the hospital till the day I left. My baby got put on antibiotics for 4 days for the yeast infection and for the infection in my waters. They told me they would not do a c section unless it was life or death bc I had the infections and it would've been way too dangerous for me in the end!
Avatar f tn Anyone else have constant yeast infections? I don't know what to do. Doctor keeps telling me monistat 7. Any natural remedies or suggestions?
Avatar f tn What is the safest thing to take for yeast or bacteria infection while pregnant
1168718 tn?1464983535 From what I have learnt, all yeast infections begin in the gut, so to get to the root cause of the problem you need to take a pro-biotic to redress the imbalance. I tried this once and, lo and behold , it WORKED! So while smearing cream on your nether regions may seem logical, it doesn't fix the root of the problem. Fix the gut, and the rest will sort itself out.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had multiple yeast/BV infections? I've had 3 so far and I think I'm having another! I'm going to ob tomorrow and I'm sure I'll get some meds. It's frustrating. Anyone Else?!?! Please help.
Avatar n tn if it is due to taking antibiotics, try eating plain yogurt while taking the antibiotics...this will prevent a yeast infection from even begining.
Avatar f tn I have been having complications with yeast infections, someone suggested taking a natural supplemental probiotic, since I can't stomach yogurt, has anyone ever done so while pregnant? I've read online and can't seem to get a straight answer.
Avatar f tn Im 6 months pregnant and I have never had this many yeast infections in my life. I only bathe with dial soap and the doctor said I shouldnt take baths, nothing but showers. Can anybody help me with some remedies or something to help with the yeast infections ??
Avatar f tn Do any of you ladies get yeast infections while your pregnant ? I'm 28 weeks and started to get them around my 5th month ...
Avatar f tn The odor means the infection has not cleared up and you may need a different antibiotic, either pills and/or cream. You may have a propensity to yeast infections and adding cranberry juice or cranberry pills and yogurt to your diet may also help but see the Dr. first to get this cleared up.
Avatar f tn I am diabetic and I am prone to yeast infections so I had to ask in case. They told me pro b for prevention and Monistat 1 not the 1 day but 3 or 7 and do not insert more than an inch. I hope this helps.
Avatar f tn I had bv at about 20 weeks and doctor prescribed Mr metronidazole gel to be inserted vaginally for a week. I didn't put the applicator all the way in. Only halfway like he said. I've had that and about 3 yeast infections and I'm about 26 weeks and baby is just fine and hoping he stays that way. But I'm always sure to catch it early. As soon as of starts feeling the slightest bit funny down there, off to the doctor I go!
Avatar n tn t happen all the times but most times when I am dry. I am 32 years old and he is 49 I have went to the doctor and I keep getting yeast infections. I use the over the counter meds fr it and sometimes the doctor prescribes me creams but it keeps coming back. Is it coming back because I gave it to him and he brings it back to me each time? He is a diabetic and is uncircumcized but he is very clean and has good hygienes in that department.
Avatar f tn if you describe it as having yellow in it my doc normally would prescribe aplicators for a possible yeast infection too, I would just bring it up at your next apt so that if there is any infection they can treat it as vaginal infections during pregnancy could cause preterm labor, I go through this between bladder infections and yeast infections I feel like im always on antibiotics and my doc says its normal for preggers women to get more infections down there cause of the increase in discharge a
1245078 tn?1268578722 Are you on the pill? I used to have chronic yeast infections for years in my early twenties. Like you, I followed my doctor's advice and was very careful but nothing helped until I stopped taking the pill (it has something to do with the artificial estrogen). So if that could be the reason, you might want to talk to your doctor about alternative methods of contraception.
525485 tn?1314361301 I know that during pregnancy, you are allowed to use Monistat or over the counter treatments similiar to monistat (store brands) to treat yeast infections, but I was wondering if there were any oral medications you can take. I know that you cant take diflucan (fluconazole ~generic for diflucan) but I was wondering if there was anything else. My doctors office is not open yet so I will be calling them when they are available, but was wondering if any of you ladies knew anything about this.
6014380 tn?1378523315 What exactly can you do if you have been seen and been treated for yeast infections and no antibiotics oral or suppository has worked to get rid of it? I have had this issues close to two years and doctors seem to be blowing me off about it when I know there has to be a underlining cause for this please help this is literally killing me.
Avatar f tn I am being treated for a UTI right now, have had BV and a yeast infection already this pregnancy! UTI's aren't a concern unless they get REALLY bad. Being on antibiotics will stop it from progressing, then you won't have to worry about preterm labor. All kinds of infections are VERY common while pregnant, so don't stress, drink lots and lots of water, take your medicine, and you'll be fine!
Avatar f tn I normally got UTIs while pregnant but with this pregnancy I'm getting yeast infections. Does any one else have this problem.
6498330 tn?1389709379 I started out having yellowish discharge it went on about a month I told my doctor and she said it was normal, then it turned light green and started itching and burning it was constantly coming out I had to be in the bathroom all the time cleaning up. I called the doctor's office and she prescribed me a yeast infection medication, it was 2 pills she said take one pill if it goes away you don't have to take the other pill but if symptoms aren't gone in 3 days you take the other pill.
