Seven months ago my boyfriend and I began having sex, and about two weeks later I started my period but noticed that I was having major pain and itching internally and externally towards the end of my period. I went to the OB/GYN and I did have a yeast infection for the first time ever. I wasn't on any birth control, nor taking any antibiotics, not pregnant, and the pap came back normal with no diseases.
How do they test for yeast infections? I had an appointment about a week and a half ago and told my midwife I thought I had a uti because I always had to pee but when I went , nothing came out. so she made me pee in a cup. They never called me back so I'm guessing I don't have one. But, now that symptom went away and I'm just really itchy down there! I know that's a sign of yeast infection but do you think she tested my pee for that too when I went last time ???
On April 14th I had unprotected intercourse with another woman. The days passed and I did not think much of this encounter until a couple of weeks after the event a rash appeared on my penis.
I went to a GP on May 14th and took a blood test. The doctor thought it was herpes. A couple of days after my blood test I developed a sore throat, then a runny nose, then a slight fever with fatigue. I diagnosed this as a cold and did not think much of it.

t happen all the times but most times when I am dry. I am 32 years old and he is 49 I have went to the doctor and I keep getting yeast infections. I use the over the counter meds fr it and sometimes the doctor prescribes me creams but it keeps coming back. Is it coming back because I gave it to him and he brings it back to me each time? He is a diabetic and is uncircumcized but he is very clean and has good hygienes in that department.
they seem to come and go in diffrent areas thru the days but im very concered, i looked up herpes and i pray i dont have it but symptoms are so alike to a yeast infection im so confused, i look at the pictures of herpes and i dont seem to have that many bumps like them but i cant rule it out..it only burns after i try to poop or if i rub or scratch alot, other than that i feel normal, i dont have flu symptoms or any of that just a irratated private parts!!
with the itching and white clumps in your urine, not sure those symptoms are herpes.
If so, This will be my 3rd yeast infection in about a month. First time it was a yeast infection and BV. Doctor believes the 2nd yeast infection came from the antibiotic for BV. I just feel like I'm getting the symptoms again and I really hope not. This can't be healthy for me or my baby. It's driving me crazy!!! Anybody else going through this? I'm 17 weeks ftm!
Douching upsets the natural balance of bacteria and yeast in your vagina and will cause infections.
2. Avoid bread and sugary foods as much as possible. If there is yeast in your vagina it is in the rest of your body too and sugar will just feed it.
3. Use condoms if you have sex. You CAN give a yeast infection to a guy (they usually get no symptoms) and then he will just keep passing it back to you.

Latly i been getting a lot of yeast infections i never had them before ....when my doctor gave me medicine it was a one day pill i had relief for two days then it came back so i baught a three day treatment from walgreens and its worked for a week or so and now.

Ok so basically i've been having a lot of symptoms since a sexual encounter but tests came back negative yet i have something wrong with me!!! i've posted two threads already if you could take your time to read a few of the symptoms i've experienced as there alot. Monistat works like a charm for yeast infections! That's what my doctor told me I could take. Just over the counter. He recommended the 7-day treatment. Baby is protected by the bubble she's in, so the medication does not get to him/her. Perfectly safe! Unless as previously said, you have any other complications. I would talk to your doctor before you do anything. And like they said, anti biotics are needed for a bacterial infection. Good luck!
Gyno examined her and said she does not see typical symptoms/signs of yeast inf but after she listened to my symptoms( i did not tell her i received oral sex from someone) she said it sounds like an yeast infection that i got from my wife and asked us both to use Monistat for a week. My symptoms/eruptions have dissapeared and glans penis is back to normal and we are using the monistat.
you wouldn't have symptoms of a newly acquired genital herpes infection that quickly.
the best thing to do is to be seen and get it checked out if you are concerned.
did you and your partner have full std testing including herpes testing prior to starting to have sex together?
have you both had your gardasil shots for hpv?
