I have been having yeast infections for the last 2 yeast off and on, been to many docs and still cant get them to stay away. I have been on flygal, diflucan, creams and all why do they keep comeing back what can i do to keep them away? PLEASE HELP!
Is there anyway to prevent yeast infections? Other than staying clean down there. This is my 4th pregnancy and I get them constantly throughout my pregnancy. I'm 4 weeks along and already have developed my first one.

I took an oatmeal bath around 815pm, got out at 845 and put Jergens Ultra Dry Skin Healing lotion on the red areas and i feel better. The only thing that's really uncomfortable is where i scratched myself.
vagisil soothes the itching and burning if there even is any. so my questions are... Do yeast infections or bacterial infections cause ulcers like that in some cases? And, if not does this sound like anything you have heard of? I appreciate any information.
As you suggest, this could be a yeast infection (yeast infections are not STDs) or a manifestation of a dermatological problem that may or may not be related to your earlier diagnosis of penile vein thrombosis. I suggest that you ask a dermatologist what this might be.

Oh definitely you need to talk about this. you need to be properly evaluated to see if your genital skin is thining which makes it more vulnerable to tearing. also get tested for yeast and bacterial infections too. since I'm assuming you are thinking herpes since you posted here, ask for a type specific herpes igg blood test or peace of mind.
thank you so much for your relpy, i really appreciate it. having read your comment i looked up pityriasis versicolor and, having seen pictures, this doesn't seem to be the cause of the dark skin on my forehead. the darkess is in one complete band rather than in sparodic dots. my condition seems simular to the one at this address http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Dermatology/dark-patches-on-my-forehead/show/459993 but unfortunatley there wasn't an answer to this that seemed to fit.

Hi all. I'm a 20 yr old female with just one problem. My vaginal opening is white! Always has been too. Ever since I started my cycles (which have always been irregular) I've notice that the vagina's opening is stark white. I've had yeast infections before, where the itching was unbearable, but this... never itches. I do discharge white gook sometimes, but it quite literally never itches, so I never thought that it could be a yeast infection if there was no discomfort.
White patches/pale patches on the skin are pretty normal, and not usually anything you need to be really worried about. Did it just appear or have you always had it? If it just appeared, some things that might be the cause could include-
eczema (maybe even a very mild case of it)
superficial yeast infection
psoriasis
The best way to tell for sure what the cause is, would be to get to your doctor to have it checked out.

It is interesting that there is no itch, it sounds like a yeast infection. Women can have yeast infections and not be aware of it. Since you got this after sexual intercourse and not prior to intercourse it is unlikely that it is ballanitis. Ballanitis can also cause white patches of skin. A steroid or antibiotic cream will help to treat this. In the case of yeast Canesten or Monistat can be used to treat it.
my boyfriend of over a year now has been dealing with a problem of dry flaky skin on his penis it often gets worse after sex or mastrabation and some time will even become so raw it will get open sores. ive recently gotten pregnant so i have had an exam and have been tested for all stds. we found i had a small yeast infection witch i got medicane for me and him to fix the problem mine went away but his symptoms have stayed and have had no changes.
Is there a way to releive the yeast infection while on the antibiotics, or am I forced to stop acne treatment? I should mention I live in a remote town with no MD, I only get to see him once a year.
Also, he gave me 3 months worth of treatment - After this cycle can I stop taking it? Or is this a life long thing? I don't want to live this way.
