5806286 tn?1375050370 I was recently diagnosed with a yeast infection by my doctor, which I didn't even have symptoms for. I know yeast infections are common during pregnancy, and I'm looking for a less synthetic way to help my body heal. My hoo haw doesn't react well to chemicals anyway. Anyone have any suggestions?
304970 tn?1331425994 My Dr. says it's normal for soem women to get yeast infections while pregnant. I am currently 37 weeks and woke up this morning with itchy uncomfortable va-jay-jay.. Ugh.. I had a horrible yeast infection last month that lasted a whole week! Prior to pregnancy, I had only ever had a yeast infection once, and it was antibiotic caused, so I discontinued the antibiotics and it went away almost immediately (within a day or so!)! Is this normal?
Avatar f tn I mention two products above that have helped me. I know Dr. David Jernigan at the Hansa Center (they have a website) sells a herbal-homeopathic formula on his website that specifically targets parasites. He also has others for yeast, bacteria and other pathogens. I don't get yeast infections anymore, but often feel like I have one. I've tried the yeast formulas and have had success. I believe it is possible to have a chronic, systemic yeast infection.
Avatar m tn I'm 21 years old and I've had chronic yeast infections (4-6 a year) for about 3 years now. 2 years ago my doctor prescribed Diflucan and it worked well for a while (cleared up the infection right away). About 8 months ago the Diflucan stopped being as effective, and I would have to take one 150mg pill then followed by another 150mg pill 3 days later. For the past 6 months I've had a yeast infection that has not really gone away.
Avatar n tn It is probably another yeast infection. It is very common to get multiple yeast infections while pregnant, just for the simple fact that while you are pregnant your hormones are all out of whack. My cousin is a great example. With her first pregnancy, she pretty much had a yeast infection the whole time! No matter how many times she went to get it taken care of it kept coming back! Don't worry about it, it's normal. Just make sure that you keep getting them treated. Good luck!
Avatar n tn me) who are more susceptible to systemic yeast/fungal infections. Major amounts of abx for extended time can cause yeast problems for some of us (as it did for me), and whether that is also hooked into ADD etc. susceptibility, I don't know, but I have wondered. It can be managed, but it took my doc a ridiculously long time to realize I was having problems.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had multiple yeast/BV infections? I've had 3 so far and I think I'm having another! I'm going to ob tomorrow and I'm sure I'll get some meds. It's frustrating. Anyone Else?!?! Please help.
Avatar n tn Dilute tea tree oil can also be used topically for yeast and bacterial skin infections. However, your dog will probably lick it off unless you have an Elizabethan collar. If the problem is a urinary tract infection cranberry capsules given orally and forcing your dog to drink more may help, but antibiotics are usually necessary. The Chinese herbal formula: Eight Righteous may help.
Avatar f tn I was having servere pain in my middle back in the right side so at 1 am on the 5th I went to the er at that point was 22 weeks and 4 days they admitted me into labor and delivery where they found out the pain was due to a kidney infection they kept me on an IV with antibiotics until I was discharged this morning they sent me home with more antibiotics to take to finish fighting the infection but since I got home this morning my vagina has been kinda itchy when I itch it it hurts could that be a
Avatar f tn Monistat works like a charm for yeast infections! That's what my doctor told me I could take. Just over the counter. He recommended the 7-day treatment. Baby is protected by the bubble she's in, so the medication does not get to him/her. Perfectly safe! Unless as previously said, you have any other complications. I would talk to your doctor before you do anything. And like they said, anti biotics are needed for a bacterial infection. Good luck!
Avatar f tn s over active yeast in the body. Some people get thrush and some people get chronic yeast infections. Things like cipro will make you worse because antibiotics make yeast in the body go crazy. Yeast thrives on sugar. So if you eat sugar, cakes, cookies, sugar in your coffee, cereal, drink soda, sugar is in everything. It brings on the over active yeast. The doctors don't ever bring this up I'm sure some of them must know about it but there isn't a quick pill for it.
Avatar f tn I'm 36 weeks pregnant. I gotten alot of yeast infections during my pregnancy. probably around 4 , Ive just got treated for one but I believe I got another again.
Avatar f tn hello...dosomebody kknow...diferents between-yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis?
Avatar n tn I think you are being managed well and as you have also posted, you have been compliant with both medical and supportive therapies. Yeast infections may be recurrent. This may be triggered by hormonal changes, medications, diet and even stress. How old are you? If you are taking any immunosuppressants like steroids for asthma, these may be contributory .Also, have you had your blood sugar levels checked?

Avatar f tn If so, This will be my 3rd yeast infection in about a month. First time it was a yeast infection and BV. Doctor believes the 2nd yeast infection came from the antibiotic for BV. I just feel like I'm getting the symptoms again and I really hope not. This can't be healthy for me or my baby. It's driving me crazy!!! Anybody else going through this? I'm 17 weeks ftm!
