Avatar n tn Yes, I would say a yeast infection and from my past with yeast infections I should know. You'll know if its yeast or not, because once you have your period your infection will be gone, if its yeast. It could also be a bacterial infection, and therefore there are antibacterials you can get from your doctor. But dont fret too much, they nether one, are a big deal.
6498330 tn?1389709379 I was told they can cause preterm labour so my doctor tests my urine at every appointment. An untreated bladder/vaginal infection can spread to your kidneys.
Avatar f tn Yeast infections are common in pregnancy. Most women get at least 1 when they're pregnant. It's not an STD at all. It won't go away by itself, it will just get worse and harder to shift if left untreated. Best to speak to your doctor/midwife about it and they'll give you a prescription to treat it. You need to be careful, sometimes the treatments for yeast infections can be different when you're pregnant so always best advising your doctor first.
Avatar m tn On April 14th I had unprotected intercourse with another woman. The days passed and I did not think much of this encounter until a couple of weeks after the event a rash appeared on my penis. I went to a GP on May 14th and took a blood test. The doctor thought it was herpes. A couple of days after my blood test I developed a sore throat, then a runny nose, then a slight fever with fatigue. I diagnosed this as a cold and did not think much of it.
Avatar n tn She should get treated for thrush/Candida infection (the most common type of yeast infection). If gone untreated or treated poorly, then it can spread to the rest of the body, which might explain her sores..although I'm not sure that it can cause sores. Not a lot of research has been done for Candida infections. Either way, it's difficult to spread to males because the male reproductive organs are enclosed. Usually you'll just have irritation.
Avatar f tn Anyone else have constant yeast infections? I don't know what to do. Doctor keeps telling me monistat 7. Any natural remedies or suggestions?
548642 tn?1266179652 Left untreated it can cause harm. A yeast infection can lead to other infections that can be potentially harmful. Are you treating it?
Avatar f tn You can Google some STI/STD images to get an idea of what you may have. Also Google images about stages of yeast infections and untreated yeast infections. Multiple diseases can get passed on from oral sex. Schedule to see a Gynecologist as they'll be far more helpful than a general family practitioner in this area of expertise. If you're too afraid to tell your mom, go into a Planned Parenthood to be checked out by one of their Gynecologists.
Avatar f tn First step I think would be to buy a box of yeast test strips AND a box of First Response pregnancy tests. You need to know if you are pregnant AND have a yeast infection as untreated infections can lead to problems. For constipation eat more fiber and drink tons of water.
8960138 tn?1407673893 Yeast infections will not affect your baby. My doctor has said its hard to get rid of yeast infections during pregnancy, but if ur saying you have green discharge, that does not sound like a yeast infection, go back to your doctor asap and get it checked as it might be another type of infection and you shouldnt leave it untreated for the sake of you and your baby!
Avatar f tn Nope! Group b strep is naturally occurring in some women. It's harmless to the moon but can cause issues if it's not treated prior to birth thus the testing. Which I hate, by the way. Lol! Bacterial vaginosis can form from an untreated treaty infection and can also just form in it's own as well. Yeast infections occur when your yeast become unbalanced. Bacteria vaginosis occurs when you get an overgrowth of bacteria that is naturally occurring.
Avatar f tn This if left untreated could progress to tonsillitis. The commonest pathogen (agent) causing throat infections is a group A Streptococcus bacteria. Besides this Group B Streptococcus, mycoplasma, neisseria and cornybacterium are known to cause throat infections. Other known pathogens causing infections of the throat are viral and yeast (candida). Strep sore throat needs to be treated with an antibiotic as strep is a bacteria.
1168718 tn?1464983535 Hi Girls, PLEASE !!!!!!!! LOL ...... boys, ignore this one.... Hi, was just wondering if you ladies have experienced constant yeast infections? I'm wondering because I have. I was put on Premarin cream a little while ago, and thought that might be it, ( though it may be) , but checked on the MS site, and found out that it is VERY common with us ladies with MS. So, anyone out there willing to share this??
Avatar f tn its not likely and im almost positive it doesnt. A lot of women suffer from yeast infections during pregnancy...it can however cause you to spot, as any vaginal infection during pregnancy can do that. But if your in early pregnancy your safest treatment is a 7 day treatment cream.I had one around 10 weeks and im now 15 weeks!
Avatar f tn Possible yeast or bacterial infection would be the most likely cause. And yeast infections, if left untreated, can spread to your butt and groin area. I know a older lady who didn't realize she had a yeast infection and it spread to her legs. Uhh I couldn't imagine. I would go back to the doctors and ask them to do a swab for vaginal infections. You shouldn't have to suffer like you are. No treatment is required for men unless they have visible warts.
Avatar f tn Yeast infections are not cause for going to the er they're verycommon are simple...
Avatar n tn it can be caused by yeast infections and not wiping correctly as well.....antibiotics, and bacterial infections that go untreated. all these things can lead to uti's and also drinking too much caffeine is another root to this evil. you can naturally shield your body to these occurrences by simply drinking more cranberry juice! oh and less soda.
20853006 tn?1547666489 s not that common to get this, though it is obviously very common to get repeated yeast infections that are not systemic, but it does happen. Two ways that some think promote systemic infections are letting infections go untreated for long periods of time and repeated courses of antifungal medications, which also can kill off the beneficial organisms that protect you from getting this type of infection. If you are getting repeat infections, lifestyle changes are a good idea.
