Avatar f tn Hello! I have been experiencing some vaginal burning during my menstrual, but I am not sexually active! My menstrual doesn't smell bad, or have any real change in texture. I tend to get large clots and watery blood. Sometimes my vulva gets itchy, but I realized always pads were doing that to me! After I switched, no more itching. But my vagina has been burning and I think it's actually kinda dry despite having such a heavy flow! Any input would be appreciated!
Avatar f tn All of a sudden I developed this itch during my menstrual cycle. At first, I thought it was a yeast infection but 7 days into my cycle the itch was still there so I went to the hospital. The doctors did a urinalysis to check for any infections and did not find anything. Instead they diagnosed me with anogenital puritus and told me to pick up difflucan. What in the world is Anogenital puritus? I am going to the gyno for a second opinion.
Avatar f tn s been ahwil since I have ha any symptoms of a yeast infections. Every once in awhile I will get some discharge with a smelly odour. I had to take a pill once a month from the doctor to treat it along with suppositories.. Sex was too painful as well and so it's been about a year that this has been going on. I went to a gynecologist yesturday and he said that he didn't see any infection at all and thinks that the infection is gone.
Avatar f tn Sounds like you get yeast infections after your period. Some women do as the PH of their vagina changes during menstruation. You can go to the doctor for a swab and diagnosis/treatment or try over the counter medication for it.
Avatar f tn I get a form of relief during my menstrual period but shortly after, the yeast will reappear. Several years ago, a doctors prescribed steroids (Predisone) to reduce nasal polyps and prescribed antibiotics for frequent sinus infections. In 2003, I had nasal surgery to remove the nasal polyps. The steroids were discontinued yet today I suffer with chronic sinusitis. I am now taking Claritin and Singulair for the chronic sinusitis and Kolorex daily for yeast control.
Avatar m tn I fingered a prostitute during her menstrual period(we did not have any other sex). During the case, I used the finger with her menstrual period blood to touch my small open wound, then what is the risk for me to be infected with syphilis or other stds? Because I know from this forum that syphilis can be infected through blood to blood. thank you!
Avatar f tn This has been going on for about 7 months straight where i have had the symptoms of a yeast infection. I have taken medicine or used creams atleast one time per month in this time period, the symptoms then went away for a few weeks then would come back. I finally went to a gynecologist and was given more yeast infection medicines, but they also told me nothing came up on the tests they ran. It cant be a uti because i have also had antibiotics in this time period for a total of 10 days.
Avatar f tn I have had this itching problem during my period for about 3 months now. Its extremely annoying and distracting, to the point that it interferes with my life. Im on birth control (Implanon) and I know its not a yeast infection, because i tried treating it as that last month and it didnt get any better. Also, my flow has gotten different in the last months, from normal blood to a thick brown kind of smelly. It is almost like a paste instead of blood. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn The less yeast he has the less yeast you will have. Also, I find that during the week before my period starts I am much more prone to yeast infections and of course if I eat a lot of sugar or drink several glasses (sometimes just 1) of wine. It takes a lot of monitoring! Good luck!
1138188 tn?1312341243 Unfortunately some women are prone to recurrent yeast infections during pregnancy. Unless your doctor has told you specific OTC brands of yeast medication that are safe to use it is NOT adviseable to use OTC remedies as not all of them are safe. You really need to see you obgyn to get a prescription for something that can help knock this out instead of just making it become dormant for a short period of time.
Avatar f tn The pH balance of the vagina fluctuates during the cycle and is the least acidic on the days just prior to and during menstruation. Infections, therefore, are most common at this time. Signs of Abnormal Discharge - Any changes in color or amount of discharge may be a sign of a vaginal infection. Vaginal infections are very common; most women will experience some form of a vaginal infection in their lifetime.
Avatar m tn Around 3 years ago I went several months without having a menstrual cycle. During this time I also began experiencing hair loss and some cystic acne. I eventually had a period and experienced the worst cramps I had ever felt, I could hardly move and had to take a high dose of pain pills in order to get out of bed. I went to the doctor and she took some blood and then told me I had PCOS and told me to go to a gyno for a second opinion.
Avatar f tn Seven months ago my boyfriend and I began having sex, and about two weeks later I started my period but noticed that I was having major pain and itching internally and externally towards the end of my period. I went to the OB/GYN and I did have a yeast infection for the first time ever. I wasn't on any birth control, nor taking any antibiotics, not pregnant, and the pap came back normal with no diseases.
Avatar n tn The best thing you can do is go to your doctor to have it checked out. As said before, what you posted was vague, but I will try to work with it as you seem very worried. First of all, Two days after having sex is NOT enough time to experience symptoms of std's, because std's take longer to develop in your body - just to stop any worry you might have of it being due to std's. Also, your symptoms do not match any of the common std's anyway.
Avatar f tn how do i safely treat yeast infection? Is there a natural supplement to help during pregnancy?
1472764 tn?1287588186 Diflucan is Pregnancy Category C which means it has not been studied in pregnant humans but has caused problems in studies with pregnancy animals. Avatar m tn If it is, I suggest you get a fasting blood glucose done. Sometimes undiagnosed diabetes can cause yeast infections. Yeast infections are extremely common so no stress, but it's something to watch out for. However, you've been using several things that would kill me so an allergy is a real possibility. I'm very allergic to fragrance so things like summer's eve? Oh HECK NO!
8004667 tn?1408302108 Even for simple things like this during pregnancy you always want to see doctor. Could more than just a yeast infection going on otc may not be strong enough. And recurring infections sitting pregnancy can mean other problems do airways best your doctor treats and knows about it.
Avatar f tn ve never heard of that antibiotic, and my mother works for a gyno. But I have had three during my pregnancy, I am 35weeks. They were the most horrible yeast infections I have EVER had. I used only monistat. I did use the cream one time, but it didn't help and didn't work, and it's not my preference in general, but the pill type one that is inserted the same way, worked best and staid in best. I did it right before bed. Seven day is probably best.
